Thank you, and may GOD Bless you and keep you close to his heart, Sgt. Steven M. Packer .... a true American Hero!
I am a Viet Nam vet and when I watch these clips I cry, I remember so many fallen friends and how they came home. Just a sentimental old vet here.
I to served during Vietnam, but never actually in country. But my respect for those who gave all, and yes, all gave some. I lost friends in Nam also, and even now at 72, I still cry every time I see a fallen soldier, airman or marine coming home for their final salute.
@@billyjoe415 thanx Billy, I was 173rd ABN/Ranger. I was at Dak To and every day was a miserable day for us. Everyday someone or several good men left laying down. I am finally over it but the memories linger for us all. My dad (career army man WWII and Korea) once said tome that I may leave the war but it will never leave me and those words resonate with me when I watch these videos. Ism so glad you did not have to see and endure that carnage but I know inside you felt it. Thank you for your service and may God Bless you.
I am also. Tyndall AFB Honor Guard a long time ago.. it is never easy for me. They gave it all for us. 😢
Freedom has a taste the protected will never know
@@robertmartin6180 well said my friend, thank you sir.
Hey Guy. This is Stacy, Steven's girlfriend at that time. I never really got the chance to tell you, but I am truly so grateful you made these videos in honor of Steven. I often watch these videos when I miss him... once again, thank you! Hope you and the family are doing well. -Stacy

Hi Stacy. How are you doing?
Thank you for your service, Sgt. Steven M. Packer...May you fly with the angels.
I went to highschool with Steven. I remember the day he came into art class our senior year and told me that he enlisted in the army, I remember being terrified, but he was so excited about it. We had been friends since freshmen year, I moved to Denver, and I heard about this recently, I am so sad for the family, his mom, his older brother chris, and the rest of the family. he will never be forgotten by my neither my family or I. Thank you steven for your dedication to our country.
The saddest part of this video is watching the plane coming in knowing it has the remains of your loved one on board....breaks my heart to see that..supportive of all our troops...brother of a marine...thankful my sister is still with us. Bless you Packer family.
My great grandpa was in WWII and he flew a B-24 Liberator. He was buried in June of 2012 and my biggest regret was not asking him about his war stories. I greatly miss him and anyone that has served, will serve, and currently is serving the great US of A, you all have my prayers to come home safe and my RESPECT!! GOD BLESS THE USA!!!
Thank you.
Thank you all, daguy and especially the family, i don't know you but i have not forgotten your sacrifice nor the sacrifice others have indeed made for me and mine.

Packer, for your brave service! karen

sorry for ur loss
SPC Torres, Manuel here serving on my second tour of duty in Iraq. I say that to say this, the civilian pallbearer seriously fucked everything up. He should have been there, they were doing fine move the fallen to the vehicle and there was no need to that silly little yellow thing that he pulled out or for him to be anywhere. All that did was make it look like they didnt know what they were doing. Just had to vent.
It's been a minute (!) since your comment - thank you for trying to make it right. So many of us just don't know the proper way to show our respect, both to the Serving and to the Fallen. Please know there is NO disrespect intended by our lack of knowledge. Some of us just weren't smart enough to serve at the right time, and never had the opportunity to learn Military Respect. For that I will forever regret. I can say I was blessed to be part of an Honor Guard for our Sheriff's Dept and used my musical skills to play TAPS for a number of Heroes. I thank God for the chance to pay my respects in that way. Thank you Service Members. Thank you. And Manuel, THANK YOU for caring enough to say something. And if we should ever meet, know this - dinner is on me, Brother!
Sgt .Packer isn't dead he's at heavens rally point awaiting the rest of his platoon. god bless from pfc. toombs 2nd 183rd infantry

They joined for many reasons, to march, to sail, to fly; they went where they were posted but nobody joins to die. Their leaders talk on TV; what else could we have done? But those leaders lost no daughters and none has lost a son. So here's to all our soldiers wherever they may be and here's to all their families, I rais...e my glass to th...ee. RIP to all the fallen soldiers xoxoxo
Heartbreaking ... we've got to get a government that doesn't throw our heroes' lives away, by trying to bring civilization to nations that don't want it.
Amen Brother. It’s terrible that this president has us on the edge of world war three, after say the last president would get us into war. It was a horrible day, May 17, 2007 the day we learned of Steven’s death, on my son Andrew’s birthday. Andrew did his tours in Iraq & Afghanistan. He ended up being Airman Of The Year 2 times.
we will be on your side! Sgt.P., Germany
Thats my issue I've always had these commercial jet liners treat our fallin hero's like luggage. Here the Capt of the plane treated it as if he was really heart broken. God Bless You Steven Packer.
Welcome Home Brother Semper Fi German Airborne Lt. Bergmann (Kundus/Afghanistan)
private charter flight?
😢😢😢😢😢❤❤❤❤
The fallow ground of liberty must be replenishing by the blood of patriots that those who do nothing may yet know freedom. Sgt Steven M. Packer was such a patriot and we are enriched by his sacrifice and service. I will make sure my grand-daughters remember his sacrifice for them and all who live under the umbrella of freedom provided by such men and women. It is often asked, "where do we get such men as this?" I say they are the sons and daughters of America. God Bless and keep you Sgt. Packer.
I all wept in silence for the deceased, I am a Taiwanese, but, I by American's spiritual impel!
Que Dios tetragrammaton Jesucristo superauten guarde en la Jerusalén celestial a este gran guerrero.

Vince Gill’s 1995 album When Love Finds You, “Go Rest High On That Mountain.” A song that has almost become a funeral and memorial service standard in the minds of many, Gill started writing “Go Rest High On That Mountain” after the death of country singer Keith Whitley in 1989. The last line of the first verse contains the title of Whitley’s biggest hit, “I’m No Stranger to the Rain”: Sores americansongwriter.com/vince-gill-go-rest-high-mountain/
