  • I first saw this in Midnight Club: Los Angeles back when that game came out. Even used it a few times during my gameplay experience. And I gotta say, that is one of the craziest, most insane, and most fun cars I've ever "test driven".

  • One of the most recognizable cars of all time, a very well known vehicle! It was said by the engineers on the design team that it's aerodynamics would allow for it to drive completely upside down at high speeds. Super cool ride, I wonder if they ever tried 🤣

  • The suede lined trunk lids are clearly because they designed it so when you are driving on the roof of your tunnel, your items are cushioned on a blanket of suede.

  • I love the upside down aerofoil chassis design. The Saleen S7, Mosler MT900, Mclaren F1, Mclaren P1, and even the Koenigsegg Jesko have this kind of chassis design where the cars chassis overall slopes upward towards the rear of the car.

  • I got to see one of these badass cars up close when I was at work. An owner of a restaurant a few stores down had one and would bring it to the store a few times a year. Same color and all. Sounds sick in person. Everyone in the parking lot had to go look. Always amassed a big crowd around it.

  • The S7 is arguably one of the best sounding hyper cars due to the fact it's note is so gutteral. Like a bass singer hitting a low note then soaring to beautiful baritone timbre high note. This car is a symphony and art in motion.

For me personally a "hypercar" is a hybrid between a GT car and an LMP car. The Saleen S7 (for me) is a hypercar. But there is no such thing as "hypercar".

    • Maxed the TT S7 out multiple times at 244mph during the Full Island race. Literally had my buddy spot for me so he could tell me which speed/great to be in during turns... Still the most intense race I've ever played in a game 😂

  • In 2004 I was waiting for a red light in Lake Forest and Steve Saleen pulls up next to me in a silver S7. I always thought he was driving because he didn't trust the customer to handle the car. The seat makes sense now. The light turned green and I still remember how fast he disappeared from sight.

  • The reason for the fabric in the front is that real carbon fiber is always incredibly ugly from one side due to the manufacturing process that's why most parts with exposed carbon on both sides is usually 2 pieces Edit: im pretty sure the forklift at my workplace uses the same taillights which would fit with rough time both were build

    • Yes! TDU1 to me is the best of the Test Drive series, and it is absolutely my all time favorite racing game. I still play it on the xbox 360. The PC version has really cool mods. I'll get that version someday hopefully.

    • @@hiphoproots95 I have the PC version and Xbox 360 version, the PC version is a pain in the ass to get to work correctly because GameSpy shutdown their servers and Atari couldn't care less. Personally I think the PlayStation 2 version is the best one because it has some unique cars like the 50's Corvette, it doesn't have bikes like the 360 version but they felt clunky anyway compared to the cars. The only way I'd get the PC version is if it ends up on GOG.com so you don't have to deal with DRM issues.

  • Most of us got to experience driving this car on a racing game and that was amazing all on its own. This was my go-to super car on Midnight Club.
