Lever Action X Model .30-30 is about 1k, the rail and stock will run you about $670 from Ranger Point Precision and that scope is: Scope: EOTECH Vudu 1-10x28 around $1800.. Of course since the Henry X models are threaded and suppressor form 4 times are down right now you'll want a good suppressor for it which will be around $1300 with the additional parts that don't come with it. All around you're looking at a total price of $4,770ish.. however.. You'll want to stock up on .30-30 ammo which is sitting at around 78.5¢-$1.10 per round.. throw in 1k shots for an additional 1k USD.. price just hit $5,770 USD. That's assuming you have the tools to put the Range Point Precision rail on which will cost you about $30 usd.. $5,800 USD.. Oh and you want a good carrying case at $200 usd.. Lets just leave it at $6k usd for a good set up.

I agree. I have found that Excelling with a gun involves not only having one which is mechanically superior but also one that I feel I have physical command over. I have a better time firing the mini-14 and ruger 10/22 than I do any AR despite the AR being the better firearm from an engineering standpoint. I want to try lever because I suspect I’ll have the same luck given how much I enjoyed my daisy lever pellet gun as a kid.
I love the style of the scope, I haven't ever seen anything like the way the sniper scope zooms in

Especially when they've got BDCs in them.

... nice, unloads 10 rounds in 1.4 seconds, almost a full 5 seconds faster than the AR15... the armalite 15's semiautomatic feature means it moves the bolt using the recoil chambers the next round and then a spring pushes tbe bolt forwards again, taking 0.62 seconds... wheras a lever action will work as fast as you can move the lever, the record for which is .14 seconds (this record was set and later tied, based on the criteria of firing and hitting a target with 10 rounds) Its important to note the AR15 is NOT an automatic weapon, and is far safer than these lever actions, as the gun and ammo can be easily stored seperately, and in a time of need, the magazine can be quickly slotted and the gun is ready, greatly reducing "accidents" from guns stored loaded ^_^ The left pretends they fail to understand this, and preach that the AR15 is comparable a "M" type, like the M16, or the M4a1... that LOOK similar, but operate far differently. AR15 fires 1 bullet per trigger pull... the M16 and M4 are MILITARY issued weapons, and fire bullets as long as the trigger is held, using a rotating bolt, vastly different from a semiautomatics spring piston bolt.

For anyone wondering what this is, it's a Marlin 336 (or a copy of one, like the Henry Lever-X) chambered in .30-30 Winchester. The stock, shell holders, and probably the handguard too, are Ranger Point M-LOK's. Scope mount is a Spuhr QDP-4046. EOTech scope, not sure of the exact model, possibly a Vudu 1-10x28 FFP.

Or you can get a completely different base gun - parts are available for most of the popular lever-action models. You'll probably spend a couple hundred total for all the parts except for the scope.

Modernized/Skeletonized Marlin lever action rifle. Did a little research(this gun looks an awful lot like a Marlin), essentially used for large game hunting, like deer, bears, etc. Yes, it is definitely the sexiest gun. The original Marling is sexy too, but this is like seeing a Victorian Era woman put on a club dress.

That's the mirage of the bullet displacing air as it travels. Long distance shooters use it to spot their rounds. Basically it's the same effect you see when you come over a long and hot road over a hill. The bullet is displacing the air as it travels, some shooters call it vapor trail, some just call it the bullet mirage. I use it often in high power matches to spot my rounds before they are called down on the line. It gives you an approximate location of the hit. I have seen better shooters be able to call the exact bullet impact with it following it with their spotting scope.

@@bubba200874426o practical purpose for just about any full length rifle besides hunting… you’ll never use an MCX or an AR in a defense situation like so many think they will. your EDC sidearm is overwhelmingly likely the only firearm you’ll ever have to use in self defense and the chances of that ever happening are slim to none. if your rifle is comfortable and fun to shoot at a range and beautiful to you, it’s practical enough. a lot of people post videos of night ops builds and shit like that and my first thought is “wow, that piece of paper will never see them coming”

The .30-30 has been around for a long time and it remains a favorite because of it's excellent range, penetration,and accuracy. I shot a .30-30 Winchester for years. Love it !

I was more looking for "Qualitative" differences for example: the 35 shoots less distance, slower, but would take down bigger animal etc. Or r they so similar it's negligible as pertaining to target shooting or hunting. I know 3030 is easier to find ammo for and will take down a deer, not sure about bear or elk etc.

Decent 30-30 to start the build is around $1000, and thats with hunting rifle furniture and no optic.
Like any high end gun, you get what you paid for in most cases. Buy Once, n Cry Once... He probably has around 5 to 6k into it depending on manufacturer of parts.😢
Lever Action X Model .30-30 is about 1k, the rail and stock will run you about $670 from Ranger Point Precision and that scope is: Scope: EOTECH Vudu 1-10x28 around $1800.. Of course since the Henry X models are threaded and suppressor form 4 times are down right now you'll want a good suppressor for it which will be around $1300 with the additional parts that don't come with it. All around you're looking at a total price of $4,770ish.. however.. You'll want to stock up on .30-30 ammo which is sitting at around 78.5¢-$1.10 per round.. throw in 1k shots for an additional 1k USD.. price just hit $5,770 USD. That's assuming you have the tools to put the Range Point Precision rail on which will cost you about $30 usd.. $5,800 USD.. Oh and you want a good carrying case at $200 usd.. Lets just leave it at $6k usd for a good set up.

I agree. I have found that Excelling with a gun involves not only having one which is mechanically superior but also one that I feel I have physical command over. I have a better time firing the mini-14 and ruger 10/22 than I do any AR despite the AR being the better firearm from an engineering standpoint. I want to try lever because I suspect I’ll have the same luck given how much I enjoyed my daisy lever pellet gun as a kid.

@@Armadurapersonalyou know, I've read a lot about first vs. second focal plane scopes(all 4 of my scopes, 3 of which are LPVOs, are FFP), and for the life of me I just don't understand why someone would want a SFP over a FFP, at least for a "fighting" or self defense rifle like an AR(which all of mine are on.) Especially when they've got BDCs in them.

... nice, unloads 10 rounds in 1.4 seconds, almost a full 5 seconds faster than the AR15... the armalite 15's semiautomatic feature means it moves the bolt using the recoil chambers the next round and then a spring pushes tbe bolt forwards again, taking 0.62 seconds... wheras a lever action will work as fast as you can move the lever, the record for which is .14 seconds (this record was set and later tied, based on the criteria of firing and hitting a target with 10 rounds) Its important to note the AR15 is NOT an automatic weapon, and is far safer than these lever actions, as the gun and ammo can be easily stored seperately, and in a time of need, the magazine can be quickly slotted and the gun is ready, greatly reducing "accidents" from guns stored loaded ^_^ The left pretends they fail to understand this, and preach that the AR15 is comparable a "M" type, like the M16, or the M4a1... that LOOK similar, but operate far differently. AR15 fires 1 bullet per trigger pull... the M16 and M4 are MILITARY issued weapons, and fire bullets as long as the trigger is held, using a rotating bolt, vastly different from a semiautomatics spring piston bolt.

The Gun ASMR goes crazy
For anyone wondering what this is, it's a Marlin 336 (or a copy of one, like the Henry Lever-X) chambered in .30-30 Winchester. The stock, shell holders, and probably the handguard too, are Ranger Point M-LOK's. Scope mount is a Spuhr QDP-4046. EOTech scope, not sure of the exact model, possibly a Vudu 1-10x28 FFP.
This gun has been dis-continued and no longer available.

@@happy30311 Maybe it was available pre-made as a complete rifle at one time, but all the parts needed to turn a regular Marlin 336 or clone into this rifle are still available. Similar parts are also available from multiple other manufacturers as well.
@@robertogarcia824 A Marlin 336 usually goes for around $1200 new. The Henry Lever-X is around $1000 new. Or you can get a completely different base gun - parts are available for most of the popular lever-action models. You'll probably spend a couple hundred total for all the parts except for the scope.

Modernized/Skeletonized Marlin lever action rifle. Did a little research(this gun looks an awful lot like a Marlin), essentially used for large game hunting, like deer, bears, etc. Yes, it is definitely the sexiest gun. The original Marling is sexy too, but this is like seeing a Victorian Era woman put on a club dress.

That's the mirage of the bullet displacing air as it travels. Long distance shooters use it to spot their rounds. Basically it's the same effect you see when you come over a long and hot road over a hill. The bullet is displacing the air as it travels, some shooters call it vapor trail, some just call it the bullet mirage. I use it often in high power matches to spot my rounds before they are called down on the line. It gives you an approximate location of the hit. I have seen better shooters be able to call the exact bullet impact with it following it with their spotting scope.
In a zombie apocalypse, I'd want that rifle with a suppressor

@@bubba200874426o practical purpose for just about any full length rifle besides hunting… you’ll never use an MCX or an AR in a defense situation like so many think they will. your EDC sidearm is overwhelmingly likely the only firearm you’ll ever have to use in self defense and the chances of that ever happening are slim to none. if your rifle is comfortable and fun to shoot at a range and beautiful to you, it’s practical enough. a lot of people post videos of night ops builds and shit like that and my first thought is “wow, that piece of paper will never see them coming”

The .30-30 has been around for a long time and it remains a favorite because of it's excellent range, penetration,and accuracy. I shot a .30-30 Winchester for years. Love it !
.30-30 is a terrible long range round. But I do like mine.
@@ellismidkiff6117 True it's not a great LONG RANGE (900 +YDS) round, but it's an EXCELLENT MID RANGE (650 + YDS) ROUND. It has persistently proven to be excellent at stopping large game at middle distances, and at those ranges, it's got a delivery like a brick through a plate glass window.

@@roberttaylor9817yes there is different ammunition, both r lever action, almost identical in appearance and bullet/shell size. I was more looking for "Qualitative" differences for example: the 35 shoots less distance, slower, but would take down bigger animal etc. Or r they so similar it's negligible as pertaining to target shooting or hunting. I know 3030 is easier to find ammo for and will take down a deer, not sure about bear or elk etc.
