Two Point Hospital Strategy & Tactics Quick Tip: The Double Rack Stack Research Room
Research isn't cheap or easy, but it is absolutely essential. While one could run wild with the size and cost of these rooms, there is something to be said with making the most out of the room's minimum size. Today I show you two versions of a build that will help you tune up your research rooms without taking over an entire hospital wing or roasting your poor researchers alive.

You can go back to Mitton university, research there and it appears in all your hospitals! Save loads of time and money ☺️
You’re videos are amazing! I started playing this game a week ago and you’re videos are the only ones that are very helpful! Although, I’m playing on my ps4 so the bathroom trick won’t work because you can’t move the door freely. But still, you helped me alot in this game and very thankful :)
Have you disabled the snap grid? I play on the PS4 and that helps. :)
You can make the loo by 4 on xbox, so I'm certain you can on ps4, and this is without using the snap grid for the door. What you do is lay out the 4x2 put the door on one of the 2 sided walls, then on the other 2 sided wall place the loo facing towards the door. Using snap grid, place another loo as close as you can to the other loos but with it facing the 4 wall side. You can place 2, then there's enough room for a hand dryer next to them. Place the sink on the opposite 4 sided wall.
Thank you so much. You helped me a lot!
what about the PC MasterRace items? (from the supervirus event, afaik it's free and available to everyone) they give 3% research speed and, of course, a ton of heat!
The perfectionist in me cannot get past the out-of-aligned super computers. FIX IT! AARRRGHH
Meltdowns and Smogley also require you to build a Research Lab to do the initial research to unlock Shock Clinic and DNA Lab, but once the rooms unlocked you can go back to Mitton / Flemington and use your labs there to quickly upgrade them. Also the Bigfoot DLC, eg; Underlook Hotel, requires you to unlock Doghouse (or is it Animal Magnetism?) in that level first, before you can go research upgrades at any big labs with high level researchers you may have at Mitton or Flemington. Not sure if this is the case with any other levels or DLC, as I'm only about to start at Duckworth Upon Bilge. On a related note, trying to 3-star Meltdowns is the height of tedium, and I recommend to players only to upgrade machines when it is a stated goal, otherwise by the time it comes to the 3-star tasks, you may have run out of machines to upgrade, and patience!! I know I did, lol.
I'll admit to not 3-starring Meltdowns for exactly that reason. The research room really shines in sandbox mode, where you need it early, but also have to balance out its costs with setting up the rest of your hospital. I have to admit, starting a hospital with 0 research (not even stuff that is normally auto-researched for you early in the campaign) is really challenging and really fun.
Is it weird that I've watched all of your 2 point hospital quick tips at least twice, but I don't own the game?
@@fade2dblack Nearly all my techniques for playing this game come from Pinstar's videos! Though I have to modify some a bit, eg; with the ward, as I prefer using unlocked "pod's" instead of beds, which have a slightly larger footprint, but seem to perform better (or raise the prestige higher at least)!
Just built a pharmacy. Upgrade machine once, delete the machine and repeat. Easy.
Do you have an ideal setup for the Psychiatry room?
Pinstar, ever try dropping the "Deep Thing" computers into the Research Pod? :D
I have all the DLC's but I cant unlock the "supercomputer", do I need to progress main campaign further? I have completed only 6 initial hospitals.
The Supercomputer is not a DLC reward but a campaign reward. I don't remember which level gives it, but I think it is a reward you get for getting a 2nd or 3rd star on a future level.
@@Pinstar Thank You for fast reply. Keep up the great work and enjoy the newest DLC :)
@@toggid You need 3 Stars at Melt Downs for the Supercomputer.
I dont have servers on switch :(
Super hot boiling room. 😠😠
