As a guy still wrenching and riding on old iron I 100% support these types of vids! Keep up the great work bud!
Thanks, will do!
Yeah and more reliable than new ones
I prefer watching older sleds, new sleds just makes everything too easy, and not everyone can afford or want to push that amount of money on newer sleds. Like me :D
I'd love to see some even older sleds, crazy to see how far they've come
Will do🤘
So many guys just don’t have the money or care to spend what the new sleds cost. We love seeing what a pro rider can do in them keep making these vids it’s awesome!
Will do🤘
Would love to see a upgrade series of this! Like seeing what u are capable to do with it and how much it can be improved!
2006! One of the best years!
Yeah man ride some older sleds It make you more like the rest of us Thanks for the vids
Haha yess🤘
That is the age sleds we can afford and fix to ride so yeah keep em coming I'll watch the videos..... it just proves u don't have to spend 20,000 to have a good time..... AWESOME...
🤘
I’ve owned a 2006 Rev identical down to the trunk behind the seat for 10 years now and with yearly maintenance and upgrades, I keep up with guys on 2023 Matrix Boosts line for line and pull for pull. The Rev really was the turning point for sleds. After 10 years now my sled is a 163 2.5” with narrow an arms, performance mods and CLUTCHING as you found out while doing pulls. Nowhere my 23” buddies have gone that I haven’t made it. Keep the old sleds going! The resto-mods are real
Heck ya!
You must live on flat ground because no way in hell are you keeping up with boosts unless you are track poaching
@@rock-uu7qr beautiful state of Montana. I work at the Polaris Dealer
@@MrMtcaleb You are like the 20th guy ive seen to claim you work at a polaris dealer online
@@rock-uu7qr lot of Polaris dealers out there I wouldn’t take that bet if I were you. You don’t have to believe me but I could tell you anything there is to know about recall after recall.
It’s fun watching the older sleds for us old guys! The new sleds are way more power and make it so much easier to climb, but the old sleds make it a challenge!!! Fun stuff
They do!🤘
Fun video, crazy how the new sleds will spin the track before they lose power.
27k views so far, looks like you have to tune up those older sleds bud. Love it!
The Rev chassis sleds are still very solid & capable sleds!
always love a good'ol Canadian
Seeing this gives me hope for my 04 Rev!! I know it's old tech, but it's what I got to play with.
Funny how the sport has actually leveled off. This sled almost 20 years old is quite capable. 20 years before this sled such terrain was unthinkable
Been riding mountains since the 80’s it used to take us days and days just to go up the trail. Then it would snow and reset the whole challenge over again 😂
@@SlipperyDucky: Oh, I remember those days, mine was on a phazer. Mountain riding has completely changed from growing up in the 80's. Now my Axys RMK isn't even the current chassis.
So true until the skidoo rev chassis was introduced mou tain sleds were basically trail sleds with longer tracks and narrower ski stance same chassis
@@joel387ktm: could make that same argument for the M series. The M7 in 2005 was a game changer.
unbelievable how easy seems with the new sleds..but hey, riding this old sleds it's such a good feeling🎄✌️👌 you have a subscriber from 🇷🇴Romania ! Love your videos
Thanks man I appreciate that!
Hell ya! Give the old girls there glory again.
Yess!
Yeah, for sure! More older stuff! Everybody and their brother has a brand new 2024 model that they are putzing around the mountainside on. I think these videos of 20-year-old sleds working to do the same thing are way more interesting!
I hear you🤘
Super Rad dude!!! That rev is in good shape!!!
Thanks Dave!
I enjoyed the difference between this sled and the newer versions too! Please do more of it! 👍👍
Awesome will do!
Love it! You were working that sled👍👍👍
🤘
@@LDFilmz have you had that sled for a long time or is it new to you?
First rev blew my mind! Now my 2023 and 2024 makes me not want to even ride my 2022!! The new gen 5 is amazing!
I’m with ya!🤘
Awesome vid. More older sleds please. I ride a 09 M8 and a 98 MM 700 love this stuff.
Hell yes! Will do
@@LDFilmz Thanks from Alaska
yes go for it
Love the old sleds! Awesome stuff, keep it up, cant wait for the next one
Thanks !!
Don't have to be new to be fun! We got our 2 ZX chassis 800 Summits out on the mountain last year after being in storage for 15 years, plus one S chassis 97 Summit 670. These were my first rides in 15 years, and my sons first rides ever. We had an absolute blast! Just waiting for snow now...
Yess
Would love to see more of this sled, it’s so much more satisfying to us who can’t afford a new 15,000 dollar plus sled to see that you can still have fun.
Yes totally! I hear ya
Killer video Liam! 💪🏼
Thanks dude!
Love it! Show us more old snowmobiles
You got it!
Nice vid. Picked up my first sled last fall, 06 rev 800 with a 163" track and lovin it so far!!
Took my dirtbike through that route and came out the barriere side. Little tricky getting through the burn.. Had to go well off the trail.
Amazing how far them sleds have came over the yrs. But for a 18 yr old sled, it did real good. And i used to lov how a guy could jump on a dirt bike and then a sled in winter time and header out right from your front door. I person can ride anywhere in that town and have a blast. Right up that road behind where you loaded up was great spot to rip when there used to be more snow there of course. Great vid
Heck yea 🤘
I think its cool to see how well the old iron runs against the new. Great video
Yess!🤘
This was a good one
Awesome
Glad you like it!
Needed to clicker up 2 numbers, haha. Mint sledding vidya.
Banger vid
Riding old sleds really is something else, brings you back to the younger days haha
Yess!
Awesome video, love the REV's.
🤘
One of the great sleds.
Yess!
Hey man I just want to say you're doing a good job I watch all you guys I'm out on the mountain with you guys too as well and you're doing a good job man I enjoy watching you you're still very humble it's nice to see 🤘😎 keep it up maybe we'll see you on the mountain one day
Thanks man I appreciate that 🤘
Feels like yesterday the 06 models came out, but man what a difference in technology in just 18 years. Meanwhile, motocross bikes have basically been the same for 18 years, they reached the top earlier.
yeah for sure crazy how far they’ve come!
I remember riding my rev 440 06 model in 2007 and I thought sleds couldnt get possible better than this and more nimble haha, how wrong I was.@@LDFilmz
I would like to hear a more in detail debrief about how it is.
I ride an 04 summit 800ho , love these videos!
Sick!
I was thinking "That old 600 is working hard".... Then I read "800 ho" on the hood... 🤣
😂
Ur in clear water, i used to know a rider that rode green mountain.
Great video man
Thanks man!
2007 skidoo 860 154 xrs summit is my daily rider here in Montana, love seeing some old iron still on the hill still my second ride is a 2002 700 summit 156 modded out still a blast to ride. Really digging the content you just got a new subscriber. 👍
Thanks man!!
Started out on that sled haha. Used to take that everywhere no problem. Its the rider. Just got to work for it a little harder is all haha
would love to see more older sleds for sure
👍
Like to see some paddles on that. I got a 121 with 1 3/4 inch paddles digs pretty good.
Fix that clutching and take it out again! Sweet
Yess!
More “old” sleds fuckin love it
Haha will do🤘
Awesome video 👌.
Thank you 👍
I have that exact same sled in great condition.
🤘
I ride a 2005 Summit 800HO. I still get around the mountain. They tend to do better when the snow settles a little bit.
I hear ya!
im well versed in these old sleds, takes a bit to wake them up not like my new 850, a set of boyesen rage cages a clutch kit a can and a rktek head would do wonders, better yet a rk tek drop in kit for these 800s, my old one is a 600ho turned 700 and it kept up with the 800s done up the same. another funny thing on these the sc3 skids seem to outperform the sc4 ones
I'd definitely watch more vids of the old sleds. That's all I ride!
👍
Those revs were so far ahead of their time. Still use a 06 summit for around home
I beg to differ. The M7 in '05 was the game changer
@@mcats8 sure but skidoo released this chassis in 03
100P
Was that the upper limits of that old school sled? Awesome riding
Beenn out of sledin since 2001, cool to see where the sleds become capable in the mountains. Lets us see what is a price range we can afford.
Proof you can still ride on a budget and don't need a 20k+ sled
That sled should be pulling 8100 rpm on those hills. I can tell from the sound that something is not right. Was a down side of those sleds was getting the clutching just right but once it was good they were really good for their time. A can makes all the difference as well.
Yeah, the air intake was plugged. I don’t have frog skin on it. That was a big problem.
Love old sled content. ‘94 Summit 583 would be hilarious. Pretty sure it would get destroyed in the powder by pretty much any new trail sled 😂
I had one of those, bought new in 2003 for the 03-04 season. I HATED it. It was hard to turn, it wouldn't stay on edge (it would either go back flat or tip all the way over) and the motor was very unreliable... ring delamination issues. I dumped the start of the next season and went to an Arctic Cat M7. Bit of a power loss but VASTLY better sled in ever way.
I've still got a modded 06 M7, that's pretty capable, but my axys is definitely easier.
Man I loved my 800, my friend let another friend ride it the second year I owned it (w/o my permission) and totaled it, then never offered to pay anything and his friend just dipped out of town..Took it to a repair shop who told me it was junk and worth $800, wish I woulda kept it looking back. Cool to see one in her glory tho.
Oh Damm!
Thanks
Gonna have to get my 07 xrs 159” here haha
Awesome video and i'm new to your youtubechanel and i would love to se you do a video on all your sleds and ride them and compair them
Will do🤘
🤘🏻
the REV FKN RIIIIIPPPPSSS!!!!!
🤘
I ride the same sled. 2004 Summit X 151. Love the old reliable sleds. What track length is on that one your riding
It’s a 151 track!
Get the 80s exciter 570s out there lolol
subb’d for the old iron content. don’t let me down!
It will be comin!
Take her for a ride again 😂
Nice vids man! What’s your mic and camera set up?!
I got a GoPro and a wired in mic!
Where in clearwater did you go, looks like harp? Nice sled thats what I learned on!
Nice it’s close to!
I have a newer polaris and i have to say when i get on the older sleds i have a blast i think part of it is the price i really dont want to total a new sled 😂 and i would love to see more older sled vids🤘
Haha I hear ya!
What i wanna see is the vertical edge, then the dragon, to the pro, to the axys.
Need to ride an old M800 HCR, way better climber than a rev, more power too.
Let's see the oldys
🤘
summitt or mxz? the track looks like it has 2 inch paddles couldnt tell!
Summit with 2 inch paddles! 🤘
Go for some of the older sleds, not to many vids on the older stuff.
👍
Is that reflector lake you went on? Or Taweel Lake?
Top secret!
@@LDFilmz 👍🤣
Definitely more older sleds, I can't afford a newer one,
👍
My dads got a built 05 rev 800 that’s 162 swapped
That’s sick!
Got an old 80s phazer?
No unfortunately 👎
Do you have an 02 Polaris 800 or just skidoo
I got an older Polaris stay tuned!
correct me if im wrong, but isnt race fuel high octane? and higher octane fuel has more resistance for detonation (which is why turbo setups are running a bit retarded). so wouldn't that lower the performance since those are naturally aspirated?? im not too familiar with snowmachine engines tho....maybe that explains why it isnt revving as high ?? Ive never ran high octane for any of my snowmachines, so i wouldnt know the difference.. well anyways, i love the content man! keep at 'er! 👍 SUBSCRIBED! Cheers from Alaska! 🍻
Thanks man!
What specific gloves you wearing at 6:06 also you wear knee pads?
I’m running Mobius knee braces and Klim, spool gloves!
ok thank you@@LDFilmz
Is that like a warm weather or like -10c glove?@@LDFilmz
What size track is on that monster?!
151 track!🤘
It doesn’t look like it’s reaching full rpm’s?
Nvm I heard you mention about the rpms in the video lol
It was part of the day, but I got to get a better air intake cover then it’ll be good!
Put some pipes on that thing and it will rip!
What did it have for a track?
151!
Is it a 800 151?
Yup You got it!
well what do you think they did 18 years ago
Sounds like it's a little under powered
Smart man, there isnt enough snow in the maountains for fk all this year yet so why not go denolish the cheap junk beater sled!
Haha makes it more exciting for sure!
