    • @@voyagerone7487 They are not right tho. The majority may be wearing these clothes, but that doesn' mean no GenZ will dress differently, and they stated these things like rules to being a GenZ. Like one girl said "no genz watches dog videos" like bruh probably almost a half of genz does that.

    • Adding to this - apparently gen Z don't speak "well" - if you act too "mature" or "grown up", you're not gen Z Sounds like they're kind of self deprecating their own generation.

    • @@veru6907 Of course, there's nuance, but what we see as part of the mainstream does suggest trends. But no, realistically speaking, GenZ is not a monolith, but the majority does reflect certain ways. Yes, GenZ dresses like they went thrifting at a 90s thrift store.

Not all of us are going to like the same fashion or music lol. They were talking about older generations not being able to understand them, I’m part of the same generation and couldn’t understand them.😂 Also the whole “no GenZ watches dog videos…” the tiktok algorithm is literally designed for you, I’m not on that trendy dancing side of tiktok like they’re talking about, more on the books and comedy side.

I'm 27, and while people assume I'm in high school based on my looks, people who spend an hour with me assume I'm in my upper 30's based on my language skills, and general business knowledge and strategy. Every time Ruby spoke, I'm like "YOU GO GIRL!!" because her wisdom and understanding is so advanced! She definitely will be going far in society! I knew she wasn't the mole, but her intelligence made her suspicious! You don't see too many people like her messing around like other Gen-Z's because she's busy getting things done!! LOVE IT!!! Every time she said "Dope" I was sooo cringing because I use that all the time and get made fun of for it! What that tells me is she spends a lot of time with millennials, learning from them. • But even if he was 24 he could’ve been a millennial. Those years are kind of in between, ‘95-‘98 I’d say. It’s more with whom you hung out and what experiences you had, what defined and shaped your childhood. I’m ‘97 and totally identify as millennial because of my childhood and youth. The Nokia phone situation, still remember using public telephone, having those old computers which first had to connect to the web sooo long. The Popstars of the 90s and 2000s were my idols, mtv, boy groups, Britney. Tamagotchi. The fashion: trumpet sleeves, wide leg pants and much later on only skinny jeans (even worse: in bright colors😣). I remember Bluetooth becoming a thing and being so jealous that people could send music with their newer phones😄 had a Walkman and later a discman.. gosh sorry got lost in the nostalgia rabbit hole🥲

  • Millennials originally are born from 1982 to 2000. That term was coined by Neil Howe and William Strauss and they were the ones who did MUCH research dating back to the late 80s early 90s on the generation and literally predicted what they’d become as it has come to fruition. Now what Pew Research did was bite off William Howe and Neil Strauss years of research (they even invited Neil Howe on to panels with others speaking on the Millennials), and decided in recent years to cut the Millennial generation short claiming that 1997 starts Gen Z. Neil Howe on Twitter disagreed but there’s not much he could do about it given how big Pew Research has become in recent years. It’s more or less a recency bias coming from people who’ve accepted that these late 90s born people are Generation Z when they literally relate to Millennials more than they care to admit. If anything, they’re Cuspers relating to both.

Gen Z got digitally screwed by their Gen X parents who had no idea how to CONTROL technology because this gen tech is new and gen x doesn't understand tech like millennials or gen z. Millennials, the generation born in the 1980s and 1990s, typically perceived as increasingly familiar with digital and electronic technology understands tech. So most Gen X have the excuse of not understanding tech or omegle pedos showing their private parts because their not familiar with it which most millennials can't use that excuse because millennials no tech. We just didn't grow up with it like Gen Z internet kids but we do understand it. Gen z are already doomed because of tech. Today's social media algorithms have already done its affect on gen z they are permanently scarred even if it heals the scar still remains for gen z and also most gen z grew up more free and open because of soft parenting unlike most millennials. Millennials back in the 90s and 2000s definitely got hit with belts more then gen z kids today. The Zoomer generation born in the 2000s and 2010s, typically been raised with screens, smartphones and are the most tech savvy, very much influenced by vloggers and internet celebs.
