My daughter convinced me to see them in LA back in 2018. I went with an open mind not expecting much. Well once their show ended I was left wanting more. I was absolutely blown away by their stage presence, vocals, choreography and their adoration for their fans. I think I’m now a bigger fan than my 14 year old daughter. What they have gone through since day one is mind blowing. They never gave up their dream and are deserving of every achievement they have earned. As humans they are as pure and humble as anyone on the planet.

I hope you and your father-in-law do other reactions together as he seems to have significant insight into BTS’s genuine relationship and how their music is forward thinking which doesn’t happen with many relative newbies even other musicians. Perhaps since he likes the live, pure content, perhaps you might react to BTS on MTV unplugged? Also, the way you smiled so sweetly when you claimed Jimin as you bias, and “that’s Jimin singing in the background” was adorable!

As an old guy in my late 40s, I have a preference for rock/metal music but I do also enjoy BTS. If your father likes rock then how about show him some Asian rock artists such as Dreamcatcher(“Piri” and “Deja Vu”), Babymetal (“Karate” and “Gimme Chocolate”), Band-Maid (“Warning” and “Thrill”), and Nemophila (“Dissension”).

So nice to see you sharing with your Father in law. My daughter, 22, and I, 70, have followed BTS from their day one. Jimin is my bias also. So sad their tour was canceled but I sure do love watching them up close and personal like this. It is hard to see them so sad and missing their Army. 8:03 From what I remember 2016 “Save Me” is about trying to save someone either a friend or loved one etc. I always felt like they are calling to fans to Save them from losing their passion for what they love; making music and being with their fans because that is their biggest fear. 10:44 The last song 2017 “Spring Day” is about missing someone either a best friend, loved one or fans etc but in this case thy are talking about deeply missing their fans and being able to interact with us in person.

Oh, I was hoping you would turn on the subtitles when he said he didn’t know what they were singing because he seemed interested in understanding the songs. Hopefully you will remember that in the future because having the lyrics does make the song even more impactful. Spring Day is a melancholy yet hopeful song. It's about a loss. It's theorized that its about the Seoul Ferry tragedy in Korea. Spring Day is the original Queen. Dad's got good taste in music. I'm a big fan of Tiny Desk Concert's too, having seen everything from Pixies (my favorite band) to Macklemore on there. I was a BTS fan before they ever appeared here, but hearing them in this setting only amplifies my awe at their talent.

Oh, I was hoping you would turn on the subtitles when he said he didn’t know what they were singing because he seemed interested in understanding the songs. Hopefully you will remember that in the future because having the lyrics does make the song even more impactful.
