Whenever Mike returned the leg kicks to Gaethje, he was fine and doing well when he started to show toughness and fight for fans he got worked, but it was violence allround and great.

I love this kind of fights but at the same time I want them to fight "safe" and smart like Izzy so they can have longer careers. A lot of phenomenal fighters retire earlier or not be the same the next fight because of the injuries they sustain.
You know Chandler regretted how he fought when he got to the showers…dude is a showman tho that’s for sure. I was on the edge of my seat every second of this fight it was one of the only cards when I really felt “I got my $ worth”.

The whole purpose of my comment was saying that most refs would’ve and could’ve stopped the fight and no one would argued it a bad stoppage (because they are nearly both out on their feet on several occasions ) . How these boys made it to the bell I’ll never know. This was one of the best fights. And when I watched it we were disbursed camping and I brought my tv, and generator with us just to watch it under the stars with zero light pollution. It was super bad ass!!
