  • We all as humanity have alot to share, beyond any divergence. Garlic is expensive in Africa, my corner now. I have a family to feed and thus couldn't survive buying everything from market. I popped up here to find solutions and found one. May the good God help us not to worry about food anymore, in a world when we can prepare our own, even in rented campus ( room) like mine ❤

  • I normally plant mine right before winter. and it's first to wake in the spring, this method looks fun to try once you got a harvest in the summer though and see if you can get a 2nd harvest.

  • Можно всё проще, взял пластиковые контейнеры, насыпал земли, три головки чеснока, зубки отделил, воткнул в землю, только чтобы хвостики торчали, поливай через день... И вуаля, чеснока через две недели хоть косой коси, и цвет не такой светлый а настоящий как должен быть😊👍

  • При такой посадке Чеснока , следует подрезать корни оставляя примерно от 0.5 до 10мм , тогда приживаемость будет быстрей и лучше . А еже ли оставлять такой длины Корни и так сажать , Саженец Чеснока будет бглеть две Недели . Хороших вам урожаев .

    • Helpful suggestion. I was wondering about that and can easily do an NF1 experiment planting directly in the soil...prepping some bulbs of garlic exactly as shown...and trimming the roots before transplanting as suggested by the person above. I live in Canada & seem to have missed buying prepared garlic sets AGAIN this year, so might have no option but to plant some "store bought" grocery bulbs to plant. They might be treated with root inhibitor...but I see no other option at this point. This seems like a good idea when one has full bulbs as opposed to sets...I don't know what the success rate would be tearing apart the bulbs & planting individual cloves of garlic. It's certainly worth the effort to experiment.

  • I need to see you successfully harvest them before I can believe that this method really works. I live in Indonesia and I see people just plant the cloves directly into the soil and have successful harvest anyway... 🤔🧐

    • I live in France, this is one of the easiest plant to grow, you only need to put them in the soil. You're right.

    • Питание в данном случае из долек. В земле, конечно же, проще. Но это, видимо, просто ускоряет процесс.

  • Это летний чеснок, с зимним так не прокатит, зимний редко приживается после пересадки, а если приживается то болеет долго и вырастает хилым.

  • Пересаженый таким образом ОЧЕНЬ долго болеет.жару никто не отменял,перемена условий роста. Пробовала так пересаживать потеряшки.

    • Впервые вижу, чтоб так садили чеснок!!! Черенки зачем такие выращивать? Достаточно перед посадкой замочить на сутки, потом садить без всякого проращивания! Так быстрее и безболезненно взойдет.)

    • No need to freeze the garlic bulbs, just put them in the water and they'll grow.

  • Хотелось бы увидеть продолжение. Не знаю как чеснок, знаю , что рассаживая лук-порей, надо подрезать длинные корешки. Хочется надеяться, что чеснок вырастет.

    • Начну этот эксперимент прямо сейчас, одну головку проращу и рассажу в цветочный горшок. Не будет головок - будет зелень!

    • Чесноку нужно много солнца и прохлада на начальном этапе роста, дома даже зелень будет чахлой. А весной можно попробовать так сделать тем, кто осенью не успел чеснок посадить
