  • For more advice when starting a speech, is be specific on your topic, like instead of starting a sentence about how to bake a cake, you should say the certain type of cake to avoid your audience getting confused on your topic later on.

    • Include them in or ignore. Including the audience makes you seem confident and makes it fun, but if they throw you or you just want to start, ignore and make sure they don't interrupt, either by waiting or indicating your starting. This is what I would do, but I'm not exspert
