I am glad to see that Danes and Boxers can now be accepted without cropped ears. Not only is it cruel and painful, they are cuter with natural ears.

I hate to see Danes with cropped ears, it serves no purpose except to satisfy the owners ego
Great Danes ears were cropped back in the day to prevent tearing while hunting down wild boar. It was for their protection. Why people do it now is questionable, but back in the days there was a reason. So it did serve a purpose back in the day.
Some like their ears none floppy, some do it to make their dog look more intimidating or scary if they’re a guard dog

I hate when people crop their ears!!! Cruel, know the breed!!!
If you know the breed you’d know that back in the day Great Danes were originally bred to hunt wild boar, they had to have their ears cropped to prevent them from being ripped off during the hunt. Now a days people do it for show. In order to be a show dog in the American Kennel Club it’s one of the requirements. I own 2 Great Danes and I did not crop their ears because I don’t believe in cropping them but I understand why it was done in the past.

I’ve got one of these big monsters and he is the worst his name is Mazi and he literally he is one of those dogs that when he doesn’t get attention he literally hates you he sits on my lap when I go to watch TV I go to the kitchen he will follow me after he eats he will leave the kitchen and leave a whole entire mess like when they eat and then they drink water all the drool from the Love flaps in their mouth it literally get water everywhere!
