Baby Seal Drags Bucket

Unbelievable! The line was so tight around the seal’s neck and not cutting it yet. Seeing the seal fill up with air after the last line was cut was such a huge relief. There are many reasons why this seal would not have made it back to shore, for example, with water getting in the bucket, etc. Every time we find such mind-boggling entanglements, it raises immense concern about how many animals never make it, so this baby seal is really lucky.

  • That bucket was too heavy for the seal to drag through the sand for long, but can you imagine how heavy it must have been, filled with water, when he was trying to swim? And the rope/line twisting more and more tightly around his neck, cutting off his air.... He didn't have much time left, thank you for saving him!🙏❤

I show these videos to the kids around here and they love seeing all the seals, but like any good person, they feel awful seeing them wrapped up in these things.
