I am pretty positive French governments or political figures probably have some very illegal activities they did in Ukraine, and they are worry about if Russia wins what dirt they could expose on the French interests. Listening to volunteer/mercenary interviews from US/UK with previous military experience is crazy as they’ve never experienced anything close to an artillery/GRAD barrage before, let alone when it lasts for days, and not having any air support. Those guys have a ton of experience now in this war, I’m surprised more aren’t getting asked to come home to add to their countries military training regimen.

This is far away and no current objective of the russians. It would require a second Cherson offensive, we see the opposite happening as the ukranians trying to attack there. The attacks on the fleet are problematic, but not worth to sacrifice tens of thousands of troops for an offensive into that difficult direction now when there are targets what are much more logical and easier to achieve.
Much later a humanitarian crisis may be engineered to justify 3rd party access to the Black Sea. Like UK and US demanding Turkey allow warships escorting aid. These temporarily annexations will become permanent bases like Guantanamo or that US pier on the coast of Gaza.
FYI french foreign legion is exclusively composed of non french people, hence the name. FFL allows almost anyone to join (not if you've killed though) and the deal is you get french citizenship but are sent to battlefield. None of these "french" troops were actually born in france. But they should maybe rename it to French Fodder Legion

They are probably the best soldiers ukraine have right now the training is one of the hardest in the world its legendary tough, but the numbers are nowhere near enough to make any sort of impact few 100 or thousand.

I guess it appeals to their own demographics interests when they see such inflated numbers. If you’re looking for some reliable mapping and sourcing, I recommend DPA, a little bit of sarcasm here and there, but overall a pretty good source on the conflict.

It's easy to mock the French based on WW2, but they did the heavy lifting in WW1 and for about 500 years before that had generally been the best land army in Europe. Like Russia, they have long borders and a big country to protect and hold which meant a lot of fighting and need for a strong army. They have a strong and proud martial tradition. If Europe breaks free of USA, that tradition may return.

Do you think the "accidents" at German weapon factories are accidents, false flags or asymmetric warfare by Russia? People who in two years put Ukraine in debt for the next 300 years, that same team stole several billion dollars. When the war ends, the citizens of Ukraine remain at the mercy of the nature of life, while those people who robbed them, already have Castles, yachts, airplanes and bank accounts ready, as far away from Ukraine as possible.
A Ukrainian offensive over the Dniepr into Kherson oblast during a supposed Russian offensive in Kharkiv is an absolutely abysmal idea. The Dniepr blocks the transfer of heavy equipment and without heavy equipment, the Ukrainian soldiers will be unable to break out of their beachheads and suffer the same fate as in Krynky - getting constantly shelled and bombed and suffering high numbers of casualties. This idea could only be cooked up by someone who believes that the supposed Russian Kharkiv offensive would force the Russians to redeploy lots of troops from other regions to Kharkiv. Seeing that the Russians have introduced a completely new army group, this belief is very likely unfounded.
They wont even manage a beachhead, that wasn't even a beachhead with their operations in Krnky before... its like pinpricks, being a nuisance... that's it. As you said, i don't see how on earth they would manage to push such an operation in that area without Russia observing it.

For a year the Ukrainians have been trying to enter the sector across the river, in Kerson, and so far they have not succeeded. As soon as the Russians concentrate their troops in training, they will conquer both Kherson and Mykolaiv in style, and then continue towards Odessa and protect the population of Crimea. The biggest problem with the Ukrainians is that it takes them forever to capture a slice of land, and forgiveness in a week.
the ukrainian cherson-crossings are british-style-raids - a measure to annoy your enemy at rather irrelevant outpost - the brits used this at times with their maritime mobility & dominance ~ hiding that they can´t execute a real battlefield decision due to lack of necessary size of troops + equipment
I think Russians are starting to use bikes not due to how cheap they are but due to how easy it is to hide them. Bikes can be easily hidden inside small houses or bunkers very close to the frontine, not like BMPs, BMDs and BTRs. From there they can be used in swift unexpected attack which limit the possibility for the Ukrainian to organize a defensive artillery strike or for FPV operators to launch their drones. Before words got to the commander of the sector, the Russian storm troopers would have already reached the trenchline and start their assault
