It is possible to desulfate the lead plates in a battery. However, it is time consuming and after even just a few times of removing the sulfate deposits it deteriorates the plates and they literally start falling apart. Every time I revive a dead battery I use a fiberoptic camera to look at the plates, depending on the use of the battery some can't be reused and just need to be recycled! 🤷🏼♂️

True in some cases but the damage to the post like that is normally due to a lose fitting connector which causes it to arc and erode the post some are salvageable some are not

На многих японских грузовичках нету крышек аккумуляторного отсека от слова совсем. Отсек стоит на раме за кабиной . Фсё г...вно с дороги летит на АКБ. Чего не закрывают ? Не знаю. На европейских грузовиках крышки пластиковые и то фсё в пыли. А японцы вот так вот .

Сгоревшая клемма не означает, что аккумулятор дохлый. В 90-е когда был дефицит всего именно так клеммы и восстанавливали. А еще в эбонитовых, залитых мастикой аккумуляторах замкнувшие и осыпавшиеся банки выборочно меняли. Это сейчас всего полно. Пока. Но в свете последних дебильных событий не исключено, что прийдется возвращаться к старой практике.

Thinking the same. If the battery passes load and charge tests this is a valid rework but ffs take a little pride in it and clean the whole damn thing. It wasn't lost on me the whole process was performed on the counter in front of customers. It was more like a cell phone repair shop. 🤣

I run a lot of large displacement diesels, bad connection turns the battery post to a mess and a puddle on cold startup. I'm guessing no internal damage considering the battery was designed for the application? 24v 2 batteries, 1 ok 1 burned to hell. Don't know any company or tradesmen round me to do this type of work. Here in America we have battery post cleaners. It's a little tool that fits right over the post with metal bristles inside. Cleans it right up. As Americans we all have the right to cut the posts of a batteries but we choose not to, not because it's easy but because it's hard

Из двух мёртвых аккумуляторов раньше собирали один и ещё долго работал...КАК? Разбирали,положительные пластины выкидывали ...их заменяли отрицательными пластинами другого ...,собирали ,заливали элктролит и заряжали сперва малым током...пластины переплюсовывались..... Мой отец неплохо заработал на автобазе ,где была куча списанных акамуляторов....( 60-е годы)
The whole thing might need to be replaced
It is possible to desulfate the lead plates in a battery. However, it is time consuming and after even just a few times of removing the sulfate deposits it deteriorates the plates and they literally start falling apart. Every time I revive a dead battery I use a fiberoptic camera to look at the plates, depending on the use of the battery some can't be reused and just need to be recycled! 🤷🏼♂️

@@user-my4rf7dc5u эта клемма отвалится...сам часто на тягачах восстанавливаю...если не будет однороднопроплавленой клеммы так сказать...он зря срезал остатки. Ставится форма на старый уголёк он графитом проплавляется и добавляется ещё чуток свежего свинца чтобы форму нарастить....а это сопля)
За 30 лет ни разу не сталкивался с такой проблемой... быстрее пластины рассыпятся.
Раньше тоже не разу не было, а за последние года три, штук 15-20 таких акб видел и сам попадал на такие, что клеймы мягкие
Тоже клема плавилась плюсовая , на новом АКБ вроде плохой контакт был , а было 24v тоесть ещё один был АКБ на грузовике.
Китай. У них мозги по другому работают.
На авто акуме не видел ибо силы тока не хватает поплавать а вот на 190 ых акумах трактористы ебанаты не следящие за затяжкой клейм часто плавят.
Причина плохой контакт. Вот и клеммы горит от искры.

True in some cases but the damage to the post like that is normally due to a lose fitting connector which causes it to arc and erode the post some are salvageable some are not

When you cut it there is going to be small metal shavings all over it. So you would just have to clean it off twice 👍

На многих японских грузовичках нету крышек аккумуляторного отсека от слова совсем. Отсек стоит на раме за кабиной . Фсё г...вно с дороги летит на АКБ. Чего не закрывают ? Не знаю. На европейских грузовиках крышки пластиковые и то фсё в пыли. А японцы вот так вот .

Пришёл паренёк на приёмку сдать старый мертвый аккумулятор, а ему говорят клемма плохая, вот и пришлось ему ее отремонтировать, теперь можно спокойно бежать сдавать аккумулятор в утиль

Сгоревшая клемма не означает, что аккумулятор дохлый. В 90-е когда был дефицит всего именно так клеммы и восстанавливали. А еще в эбонитовых, залитых мастикой аккумуляторах замкнувшие и осыпавшиеся банки выборочно меняли. Это сейчас всего полно. Пока. Но в свете последних дебильных событий не исключено, что прийдется возвращаться к старой практике.

Lo que quería el hombre era rápidez y rapidez le dió... le da igual si está sucia o limpia, además le pagan lo mismo. Si yo hiciera eso 3 veces todos los días y me toma 10 minutos limpiarlo seguramente no lo haría a no ser que me paguen ese extra. Hay que valorar lo que uno trabaja.

It does happen. Has happened to me one too many times because of bad terminal connections. Once you crank the whole battery terminal melts.

@@krytoi_pocanchik то что он (залудил) свинец оловом то ладно. То что он налил сверху свинец тоже ладно. То что оно все оторвётся сразу тоже ладно. Но вот дело в том что нет смысла делать это все. Батарея увалиная она даже скутер не завидет.
Не будет, проверенно, клеммы по другому напаивают с помощью угольного электрода с батарейки.

Thinking the same. If the battery passes load and charge tests this is a valid rework but ffs take a little pride in it and clean the whole damn thing. It wasn't lost on me the whole process was performed on the counter in front of customers. It was more like a cell phone repair shop. 🤣

I run a lot of large displacement diesels, bad connection turns the battery post to a mess and a puddle on cold startup. I'm guessing no internal damage considering the battery was designed for the application? 24v 2 batteries, 1 ok 1 burned to hell. Don't know any company or tradesmen round me to do this type of work. Respect 👌
It is weaker now and can break accidently. you should not cut it at all. You can clean it and thicken it.

Here in America we have battery post cleaners. It's a little tool that fits right over the post with metal bristles inside. Cleans it right up. As Americans we all have the right to cut the posts of a batteries but we choose not to, not because it's easy but because it's hard
