I would love the option to assign specific colours to certain features. Just seems a small thing that would have a big impact. Especially for the changeable blades

At least with the ps4 controller, the light bar will be assigned to your crew color in gta. Don't know if it is for ps5 but definitely worth checking.

my parents are getting me a PS5, but I am an Xbox fan. can someone explain how I am supposed to get used to the controller layout when the joysticks are right next to each other, or maybe recommend products that allow you to use Xbox controllers with the PS5, at least until I get used to both layouts?

The mono audio is a game changer for me, I'm completely deaf with my right ear and always struggle when I have to play with my earphones, try using your earphones and use only the left side, you won't hear sound queues and anything from the right side of your character. But well, until I get a ps5
PS4 has mono audio also.
I use that mute feature so often. I was actually surprised that the lightbar also had pink and purple colors as well as green when using certain characters in Marvel's Avengers.

Jedi fallen order does the same when you choose a lightsaber colour, and when you draw and holster the saber too

I think the long press mute is a feature I lean on more than almost any other. Mute the TV, and you're gonna have some annoying persistent on screen notification that your muted. A long press of the DualSense and all sound it just cut. Much more convenient than fishing out a controller and massively useful if I'm quickly referencing a guide video with sound or something.

Double tapping the ps button will also bring up music/party and etcetera quickly.
Here's one that was missed, if you are in party chat double tapping the PS button will take you to the party chat window instead of the game help window. This might also take you to a twitch window if you are streaming but I am not sure since I rarely ever stream.
Same with Spotify too if your music is playing.
My man's reading deep into the PS5 manual for video ideas. Can't say I would've known these control functions without subscribing to this channel, been using the dpad this whole time lol. Definitely don't have time to be reading that manual nonsense. Great vid. Learned something new!

DS4 for Windows is awesome makes me wish we had the same level of customization on the console like gyro settings, touchpad swipes, touchpad presses, multiple remembered button layouts, etc Also wish we could play PS5 games with the DS4 until Sony decides to make back buttons/paddles for the dualsense

I don't know about the Dualsense, but I know you can use the touch pad on the dualshock 4 to control the cursor. Not many but some games use gyro controls too.
The fact the triggers are adjustable and they’re still adaptive triggers is insane. That and adjustable sensitivity on the analog sticks is a big appeal for me

I’m a guy that is just getting back into gaming. The last console i had was ps2 and these new games are so complex i have no idea what to do so the double tap for hint is extremely helpful
Actually the trick with triangle I figured it out by my self but it took almost a year 😂 thanks for the mute button trick.
The one I like the most from that is getting 3D audio from earbuds plugged into the controller. Save some money and be able to plug my controller into the front USB port if it needs charging

There's no such thing as "3D headphones", it's a marketing gimmick. 3D audio is produced via psychoacoustics in stereo. You can get 3D audio from literally any pair of stereo headphones.
I've had mine for a long time now, and I still didn't know just double tapping the PS button would bring up the help menu

I really love the ps5 dual sense. I know many gamers prefer the xbox controller and dont get me wrong it is a very popular and great controller. Im a PC gamer but i also own a ps5. (Never xbox) and though i use my xbox series x controller for PC gaming, i hope they can fully intergrade the dual sense to all pc gaming. I enjoy the dual sense more.
more games will use the Dual Sense, as Final Fantasy 7 remake integrade for PC does use native Dual Sense haptics and adaptive triggers when connected using a wired cable. However as few Windows games support Xbox's impulse which have been around since last gen, I wouldn't expect tremendous support for additional haptics. I personally have always used an Xbox controller for PC gaming since the 360 up to Series S/X as well but I've been playing any PC games that support the haptics of the DualSense controller with that. The Dualsense haptics are just awesome. I hope Xbox's next controller uses them so that all devs start to use them like a standard just like vibration.

I agree. I love my ps5 controller way more than an Xbox controller and this actually will last me a week or 2, depending on how much I play on my PC, without having to charge it unlike the ps4 controller. Still don't have an actual ps5 but that will only be necessary for GoW ragnarok :)
The triggers are great on racing games like Gt7 my only issue is I find my xbox pads much more comfortable to hold, I get cramp after a while with the Ps5 pad as you kind of have to reach your fingers upwards for the triggers a bit more

You can use the motion sensor to select buttons from the keboard fast instead of using dpad and navigate to button one by one
Shame you can't customise the lights for your pad whilst connnected to the PS5. You can however change the colour of the lights on your console. You can get these stickers that act as a filter for the light and change its colour, and they're very cheap. You take the side panels off and align the sticker, put it on, and you're done. Made a huge difference for me, especially seeing as my PS5 is all-black with me having custom plates, the lights being red matches way better.
Wow. That triangle button shortcut would have been very welcome a long time ago. Scrolling through all the little menus on the PS5 homescreen has been very annoying, and I never once thought that there might be a little shortcut like that.

Fun fact: this “1:33” was originally made for PS4 controllers, thats why its called DS4 Windows, but you can also use it on PS5 controllers, xbox controllers, etc..

The double tap ps button actually pulls up your more recent card. For example if your voice chat is first it pulls that or if your Spotify music is first then that gets pulled. At least that's what happens for me.
On that last one, Steam has built-in light control options for the PS5 controller as well. You can set different color profiles for different games or hot-swapping in a game.

@@420vibesFN Unfortunately not. The colors are actively controlled by the Steam software. There's no onboard memory to retain color profiles.
Theres also an app on pc called DualSense X/M, which is basically an updated version of DS4 Windows for the DualSense It can also adjust the haptics to your preference

Great little video, i knew most of these but i think alot of ppl don't. The only things i think you probably should have mentioned is - Game Help is only on some PS5 Games only. Its not something youll reliably get game help everytime on a game if you double tap the PS button. - Game Help is only available if you're subscibed to PS Plus
Yep, I discovered it while messing around with Astro's Playroom. It's going to be a great feature for trophy hunters. They even give an estimate on how much time it'll take to accomplish each goal.

you can also do that somewhat with steam as well (colour change no rainbow tho). You can also enable gyroscope as a mouse and have mouse like aim in fps games (ie no aim assist needed) which in most games on PS5 (like 8 games have it) this is not a normal feature
In this he showcases multi color but i think that was just him scrolling through the colors as if it was rainbow for views i think you can only pick one color

This is really inspiring. My mind had forced for me to take a walk of a total of 21,69 kilometers to the closest burger king, with a total of 53,597 footsteps counted. Shortly after listening to this glorious video and "Walking to burger king and walking home from burger king", Infact. that walk resulted in me eating the best burger, Still not as good as street food, but still very great. And then shortly after, My wife had returned but that didn't fix it, This video did! I don't care about anyone anymore, i just care for this amazing inspiring video. How did you make this video so good? I can't imagine that. My life has been turned over for the good because of that individual walking to Burger king, and then he walked back home from Burger King. Cool. I learned something new today. 😊 Any tricks on how to fix right thumbstick? Im on my 4th controller in a year. All the right thumbstick. My kids play tons of Genshin Impact and i usually just play NBA2K. But that right thumbstick is always an issue for me lol (and im also a lefty, so if you'd think of it, it should be the left stick that is gonna give me issues lol)
