Lady Gaga: "I found a way to love myself again"

2020 ж. 19 Қыр.
696 723 Рет қаралды

The songwriter and performer's sixth consecutive #1 album, "Chromatica," explores the pain and loneliness that colors her hugely successful career, with songs that speak to Lady Gaga's experience with a fame that, she tells correspondent Lee Cowan, she grew to hate. Even though she wears a mask during her interview, the 34-year-old (real name Stefani Germanotta) reveals how her public persona hid a private pain, both mental and physical, and how she came to accept both Lady Gaga and the woman who plays her.

    • @tuna that's so true! Very accurate, it is insane to think about the way our minds perceive our lives when our mental health is declining and ive always found comfort in listening to Lady Gaga talk about her depression and mental health. If she can feel badly about herself even though i think she is a Goddess, then i shouldn't believe the negativity that clouds my mind

    • All these young people who want to be famous superstars have no idea how much it will ruin their lives. For someone like Gaga, is the money really worth all that she's gone through? A lot of performers end up on drugs, legal or illegal, and have all kinds of mental problems as a result of their careers. Meanwhile, the music industry continues to squeeze the lives out of them to squeeze out every possible penny. For us fans, it's a catch-22, in that we want to support our favorite artists by paying for the music, but by doing so, we're contributing to the toxicity of the business.

Her career has been based in talent first and foremost. Her ability to tap into that well of emotion and make other people feel something exactly what music is about. Secondarily she has been a pillar of strength, bravery, courage, and perseverance for so many. Losing her would really hurt. She has the potential to sway so many people on the edge in the wrong direction. Can't imagine carrying that responsibility on my shoulders. Especially while carrying so much trauma and suffering around. I wish I could take all her pain away and relieve her burden. Help her be as free as her hair..

Her life is one lived in constant isolation for fear of safety. She can't go do normal everyday things we take for granted. If she went out in sweats she'll be front page on tabloids. Strangers will take photos of you and your friends see you as a walking ATM machine.
