How's the silicon valley ie the Desi - s. v. connekted to the severe water - woes u recount of in the Afghanistan... Barry... I guess, the Helmand river flowing from East-central - Afghan, down, South-west for more than half of the entire country region before moving north, into the Iranian territory, & emptying into the swamp at the Iran - Afghan border, maybe somehow linked, don't kniw how, to the South western - silicon valley region among other geography... Julia... Maybe.. yet everytime some terrible tragedy striking Bangalore - & around Sw - region, news flashes as headlines in the print-press, TV media chnnls one can be cent per cent certain of, something far more terrible events happening in the NW - Iran, Afghanistan regions... Isn't there a Dam in that SW region, Julia, what's its name...? Ooohh yeeaah, the North - Karnataka - Bijapur - Bagalkot - Almatty Dam... which had apparently commenced in 1963...& completed in 2005, exactly 42 yrs later... & taking another 4 yrs to be inaugurated... 42 yrs??? for the completion of a Dam in the SW - geography... boasting of finest, Science & tech engineers among other professionals, Julia..? It was a major disputed - Dam, between the neighbouring states... ie Andhra pradesh, Maharashtra... & continues to be soooh... And just fyi, Julia, Almatti happens to be the name of the region in the southern Kazakhstan.... Hv this sweet savoury, Barry, from the princely Nawab cities of Bhopal & Gwalior... Gajak... That's nice of you Julia.. thank you very much... I could share it with the local Afghans, who've presented us with plastic bottled mineral water on our arrival here... & was acutely embarassed, as to how i could reciprocate their warm gesture... but what's the latest problem in the silicon valley, Bangalore again... Julia..? nothing new Barry, come general elections & predictably pedestrian news headlines reappear yet again n again n again, incl the incredible digital media chnnls, dime a dozen raised to the power of n.... severe water - woes... acute water shortage crisis... esp for those dwelling all around & behind the hi-tech, glizy, fancy sky scrapers, dotting entire length & breadth of the s. v city & all over the State... Where's the water being diverted, Julia...? Where else... Beer, wine, alcohol distilleries... priority number one to ten... all over south, north, east & west... finest malt liqour, apparentky, reportedly outclassing the original, unadulterated Scotch, sooh we' re told... Barry being exported to EU, UK & elsewhere.... Ulan bator - brewery ki Jaii...!!! Ulan Bator...? ooohh u mean the over century old UB group...? alongwith the equally antique... MM Komoany in the NE... Barry... that's the Solan - Mohan Meakins... distillery... one of the oldest... nr Shimla... U don't hv water... no problem... watch IPL matches.... every 6 months, for 8 weeks non stop.... the show must go onn... is the mantra of the French Queen Mary Antoinnette inspired rulers in the SW - India... Afghan distilleries... whisky, rum, gin, wines, beer, & finest cognac, u name the drink & the best would be served to the tourists z foreigners, journalists... ooohh yeeaah esp the BBV ones, Barry...! But liqour is prohibited in Afghanistan..? Permitted sale to visitors... black market consumption booming... No one heeding the cautionary maestroz prescient, sufiana warnings.... "sip a little - little, liqour has become too expensive "..... and the growing by leaps & bounds cricket craze in the Afghan kids... Julia... yeeaah they need to smack hard, something or the other... & the Bollywood biggies, the 3rd, 4th & 5th gen, returning the enormous favour,... The 1st filmy dynast - family from - Afghan - Iran - Pak - borders... ie Peshawar... Coopers the 420z, apart from the Gaangs of Dacca - film studio babuz... Spkng of 420z, u remember the sharp gambling - casino, real estate racketeer business magnate - tycoon's femm fatale moll...? the Baghdadi - Jewish one... the yester year vamp, essaying negative roles, commanding a higher fee than the leading ladies of her time...? what was her name...? Nadira the Hunterwaali, was her screen name... she died a decade & a half ago, in a south bombay - Bhatia hospital.. apparently she was lying unconscious for days, before being noticed & moved to the hospital by cimpassionnate neighbours...!!! heavy boozard she continued to be... 420z all... the filmy buggars... i tell u Julia...!!! Whats the mystery behind the name, Barry, of Afghanistan...? Plenty of tales, Julia, origins ranging from Sanskrit to Persian origins, Ariana - believed to be one of its ancient name, the Avesta, apoarently believed to be composed here,... the Kand ahar earlier known as Gandhar... that's bcoz, Q, G, C, Ch all used, changing the pronounciations, over time... yet its infamously known as the "grave yard for many a empires"... The last 2 empires - apoarently meeting that fate, is too well known... Operation chess board - Brezhinsky initiated carpet bombarding war games over their most preferred & favoured geography... Iraq & Afghanistan in the past 5 decades... they must change the name of their country at once... doesnt it sound ominous, Barry...? Certainly... if we choose to unscramble the name ie Afghan, alongwith the pronounciation syllables altered, for eg, replacing, the letter, G with, K... it explains... eloquently as to why its been a graveyard for the invading empires in the last 4 centuries...
