Associates of the late hip-hop legend Jam Master Jay were recently found guilty of his 2002 murder, including one who was his godson. Tony Yayo, a Queens native and close friend of 50 Cent, who was originally signed by Jam Master Jay, knew the killers personally. The shocking crime was a result of the harsh reality of the streets and the desperation for money, said Tony Yayo, who highlighted the dangers of dealing drugs. The decline of Jam Master Jay's career meant he returned to selling drugs, which resulted in his murder.
