Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2 is out next week, and I'm pretty stinking excited for it! So it made sense to get all hyped up by tallying up the wins in the original. So here's everything right with Guardians of The Galaxy!

Just so everyone knows, the Guardians of the Galaxy's theme is, and this is hilarious, called "Showtime, A-holes!" Which is just perfect!
A group of us went to see Endgame together. When I got to the theater, I got out of my car, saw a few of them and yelled that across the parking lot. Haha
@@mutigerinky HILARIOUS! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😆😆
That's the scene in Guardians of the Galaxy2. Their theme appears more often in: The Kyln Escape, Black Tears, Guardians United, Vs the Abilisk, Two-Time-Galaxy Savers, and Showtime, A-holes. ;) but the theme is also hidden in almost every part of the soundtrack.
@@Aldiraider I knew appeared elsewhere, I just loved the showtime A-holes thing so that's what I call it
oh wait I forgot to mention The David Hasselhoff Song: "Guardians Inferno"
My excuse for Star Lord surviving in space for so long is: He's half planet.
Maybe this deserves a spolier tag?
Fair call. Didn't even consider this point.
eh? maybe, idk
True😂
Silver Comics Whaaaaaaaaaaa??????????
How could you just skip entirely over the scene of rocket being drunk and yelling about being torn apart and put back together?
My guess is that (if he shared my opinion) it's one of the saddest moments 😂 really I felt that was one of the darkest! It was heavy to watch
Yeah that was gut-wrenching :(
I felt Rocket at that moment and wish I could give him a big hug.

I love how drax went from a serious depressed scary muscular man to extraordinarily humble
I too am extraordinarily humble
He got more comfortable with the group that’s why
And ends his arc as team dad.
probably already said this, but i love how Peter's jet boots are so clumsy. it's been established in iron man that with only feet propulsion, it's quite difficult to maintain balance while hovering, let along fly for real. it also show's peters pragmatic and underhanded approach to combat, since he uses the boots in unique ways to move in unexpected directions.
we frequently see him sliding along the ground and making quick flips, which makes perfect sense when you mention it like this. the only time he actually flies for a longer period of time is in space, where it would probably(?) be easier to fly with them.
@@Blueroflmao not "probably?", It would be, you're right. You don't have a center of gravity if there's no gravity, so you wouldn't tip a certain way without propulsion
@@SolarRain03 there’s still a centre of mass to worry about, making flying in space still just as much of a pain, perhaps more so without the atmosphere trying meekly to resist your spinning.
"I WILL NOT SUCCUMB TO YOUR... YOUR... PELVIC SORCERY!!". you missed that one, for me the best line in the entire movie.
Allura Ambrose "pelvic sorcery" OHHHH MY GOD

My 8 year old cousin said she didn't like this movie because she doesn't like CGI characters. But when I asked she thought Rocket was a real raccoon so...
She's gonna learn that when done right, you don't have to continuously bag CGI movies.
charlotte carpio She probably saw some KZhead video ranting about CG and how it's apparently going to be 'the death of cinema'.
icecream is nice she is 8 she simply likes cartoons and she said she doesn't like it because it's cartoons and reality mixed together she doesn't watch those kind of videos

"Somehow Dave Bautista is a decent actor." I mean wrestlers, especially ones from WWE, are actors
and with their live promos, in someways better than actors because actors gets multiple takes until its perfect while wrestlers during live moments cant exactly mess up
Yeah and porn actresses are also actresses. Doesn't mean they are always good
@@jeltje50 Except that the actors/actresses in porn aren't there to act, they're there to sex. WWE actors ARE there to act.
That is amazing
Remember, pro wrestlers are good actors!
Honestly the title card is 10 times funnier after Endgame.
It really is
Yep... from Rhode's and neb's perspectives
“So he’s an idiot.” 😂😂😂😂😂 So hilarious.
In an interview, Pratt said that when filming, he kept saying "pew pew pew" when he shot his gun, which didn't actually have a sound effect until the editing stage of the movie. They had to retake some scenes that costed so much money so they could get the clips without Pratt's sound effects. But, just like with dropping the orb, they should have left this in. It would've been so funny, and it would make sense since Star Wars and other movies like it were around when Starlord was still on Earth.
thebagelbomb I need a spoken Star Wars reference in these movies soon
Not from the movies but I loved when Coulson said "I'll be dammed, Tatooine" on Agents of SHIELD.
Agents of SHIELD has tons of them, mostly made by son of Coul. Remember the hologram scene when he said "Help me Obi Wan Kanobi you're my only hope" XD
Have you seen Civil War?
Sebastian Stand did similar stuff up o the point where the director had to take him aside and say "You do realise we'll be putting the sound effects in later, right? There's no need for you to do them now."
Because Science actually postulated that the space scene with Star Lord and Gamora fits the timeframe for survivability of a human in a vacuum...but since both are demi-humans, this is almost moot.
I know this is a year ago, but Gamora isn't human at all.
@@MDCxThePG And Star Lord is a demi-god... being half Celestial and all.
*almost groot
ShadowPhoenix82 Expect Gamora isn't even 0.1℅ human
@@theguy6740 Then demi-humanoid could be a far more applicable term. I would presume that her survival is attributed to her enhanced skeleton, and the possibility that her organs have been interfered with.
Wait, in the scene where Gamora is being processed after arrest it says she’s the last survivor of her people, meaning Thanos probs lied in infinity war when he told Gamora her people were ‘thriving’
My father is many things. A liar is not one of them.
The half-survivors-gamora's-people could be exterminated years later.
Maybe Gamora's homeworld hadn't been discovered by Xandar yet. Gamora was young when she got taken so maybe she doesn't even know all that much about her race. Either that or this films only contribution to setting up infinity war was including the power stone and all the lore like Gamora's backstory was kinda fluffed
I like to believe he killed 1/2 and just assumed they would be fine but actually all died, and he never went back to even check. Same with like earth 5 years later, they were not thriving, nor thankful.
Gunn didn't know the plot for the rest of the film's, in the comic books Gamoras planet was destroyed by the church of truth not Thanks and she was actually the last of her kind so I guess he just based it off that.
After watching End Game, I cannot look at Star Lords intro the same anymore
I had to rewatch the first GotG after that scene in endgame. Who knew this film could be even better in retrospect!?
William Stevens why not?
@@eliekira7521 SPOILERS - - - - - Okay so in Endgame, won't go into details, but you basically see Starlords intro *without* the music through another characters perspective. So it's just him dancing and singing to himself and it's one of the funniest moments in the movie
@@RPGManoWar So he's an idiot?
It's so good, and has James Gunn written all over it!
The title card is probably the most genius title card frame I've ever seen in a movie. The theatre I saw this in, as soon as that title card came up, so much laughter. That one title card with Chris Pratt in the distance below, and the music starting with it, basically set the tone for the entire movie and told you exactly what you're in for, and basically said "It's okay. Just sit back and relax and enjoy yourself-- you're gonna have a great time." And the irony of a giant "Guardians of the Galaxy" logo screaming *epic* while a tiny Chris Pratt dances below it simultaneously snarks at the pretense is brilliant. That said, about your nitpick of Chris Pratt in space.... it was established by Glenn Close at the end that he is half human and half something else-- which I won't spoil here for those who didn't see Vol. 2. So his surviving in space a few extra minutes works here. As for the ice crystals, I figured sweat on his skin icing up. He did have to exert himself in that pod battle. But I could be wrong on the science of that. By the way, I love your channel. Nice to hear great things about movies that we enjoy as opposed to the snarky cynical nitpicky stuff we see a lot.
The "spoiler" was in the trailer, so...
You must love the opposite version to this channel. Although, I do suspect they are made by the same people lol. Have to be :thinking emoji:
Comic book movies I wish were still on Netflix: Iron Man 1 Guardians of the Galaxy 1 Superman vs The Elite All-Star Superman Justice League: Doom Doctor Strange (animated) The Avengers Batman: Year One (knew I was forgetting something)
You should do rise of the guardians. It is such an underrated movie.
I thought it was an OK movie with the only thing about being really really good was jack frost's background story
Mega Flygon! It was a amazing!
Great idea, mediocre execution, lame ending. Worth a christmas watch but overall I was disappointed.
Didn't like it. Who's jack frost?
Kai Barber How can you have watched the movie and not know who Jack is. Unless you're joking.
Also, how come we never got a “Dave Bautista’s workout routine”?
Cuz he is a genetic freak and a walking muscle... He doesn't even need to work out, and he can slam a revolving door.
His workout routine involved ripping his jeans.
@Micayla Yeap Well, it was during his WWE days. He went out to the ring, cut a promo, unintentionally ripped his skinny jeans, and went back.
That win only goes to the super ripped actors. Although I think in some instances those actors dehydrate themselves for a few days before their topless scenes like Henry cavill in the Witcher (?) If drax dehydrated himself before his topless scenes though he'd be dead all 'cause of his sensitive nipples
10:18 - “YOU ONLY WANTED TO WIN, I JUST WANTED A SISTER” She’s not mad about betraying Ronin or even Thanos as she was doing that herself, She’s mad that Gamora is leaving *her*
She’s a good character
9:56 And you forgot Rocket openly adjusting the crotch of his jumpsuit during the walk.
Not only do I love that guardians can't be serious for long I also love that scene with Gamora yawning and starlord having the sniffles it's a quick thing but they feel more real seriously like no fictional character gets sniffles hiccups, coughs or being tired without it taking the entire episode but guardians slips it in and it ends really am I the only one who gets random stuffy noses?
Imagine being in a fight and u need to ich your nose but then BAM too bad u got punched in the face 😊 I mean it might stop the sniffles a small bit
CinemaWins pointed that out as a win on their channel.
Not just the yawn and the sniffles but rocket also adjusts his crotch a bit lol Edit: also no you are not the only one who gets random stuffy noses
This was the movie that got me into the MCU. I had seen the Iron Man movies, but I didn't know they were connected to a greater universe. I hadn't seen Thor, Hulk, Captain America, or even Avengers. I just heard about Guardians of the Galaxy and thought it looked like it would be the best thing ever, so I went on release day, and it was. I had to go see it again shortly after. It was then that I learnt about Thanos and Infinity Stones, and that these characters would eventually be meeting the Avengers, so of course I had to catch up on everything. Needless to say, I became hooked and have now seen every MCU movie *many* times each, and I'm so deep in the fandom, constantly watching MCU videos and reading about potential new movies and series, etc, and it all started with Guardians of the Galaxy.
For me it was Doctor Strange. Before that I didn't care at all. After I never missed a single release.
@Unisaur Rex for me i think it might have been Thor Ragnarok. I had watched other MCU films beforehand but a couple years ago my buddy told me to watch Ragnarok so I did. After that, I couldn't help but watch the other Thor movies and then everything else the MCU had to offer
Same! I saw this movie two years ago on demand and said why not. I immediately loved it and then searched up how to watch all the MCU movies in order
For me it was kinda Age of Ultron. My friends were having a sleepover in 2017 and we put two movies that would introduce me to two major franchises. I saw Age of Ultron and immediately got hooked and wanted to see the rest of the movies which was perfect timing as I saw the important ones before Infinity War. Meanwhile I also saw Rouge One and didn’t care for it which didn’t interest me into seeing the rest of the Star Wars films.
This was the first MCU movie I ever saw, but the one that really got me hooked was Age of Ultron.
"I forgot I was listening to Bradley Cooper and Rocket became his own real character" - this! I knew it was him and I still never once thought Bradley Cooper or anything. He's just so unique, always anxious and yelling, even when he says something calm it sounds very uneasy and sleep deprived. Whereas Bradley Cooper is a cool, chill jock
As a plant person myself, I just want to say that it's perfectly plausible that Groot comes back from just a branch. Plants are resilient af. The entire thing could be a dry, wilted mess, but as long as you have one little healthy part, you just have to plant it and water it and it comes back to life like new. Awesome stuff.
CinemaWins Upset you didn't win Vin Diesel as Groot because in my opinion, he was the heart of this movie.I understand we have different opinions (including your wife's) but thank you for the video. Also, congradulations on being a Dad!
Christopher Souza I think more like the roots of this movie
"badumtish"
Nathan Ross Yeah, you're probably right! But would it be funny if I said I never expected Dom Toretto to be quite the show-stealer in a Disney/Marvel movie?
Nathan Ross Also, it's the first time anyone actually gave a Like to any of my comments after 18 hours...
Never expected? You know he was the voice of the Iron Giant right?
Come on, no win for Karen Gillan? Her acting brought Nebula to life. I mean every little detail of her movement, her facial expressions, her speech, you can barely trace she is human or she is Karen Gillan. You just see Nebula. Talk about becoming the character your playing indeed.
To be fair, the original plan was to have Nebula die, but everybody loved the performance so much that they kept her alive. That's about the biggest compliment I can think of.
Yes yes yes, Nebula was and is such a great character.

really? I mean, all it's really gotta do is have an airtight seal over his head and he could do a quick float through space, and if he has a suit to go with it he should be fine. the real killer were he not part celestial would be the skin and other types of radiation caused cancer he would get from a lack of shielding in his clothes to protect his cells.
Actually the major killer would be the pressure. Water boils at lower temperatures in lower atmospheric pressure. Without any presssure in space his blood would boil quickly - space suits are pressurized so this doesn't happen to astronauts

The RPG gunners didn't fire when they were weightless because they would be fired in the opposite direction (equal and opposite reaction, per Newton). Never a good idea.
RPG's don't have recoil because they fire a rocket. There is no explosion inside the barrel like a gun.
Defac Diamond The rocket moves forward, ergo some force is applied to the rocket while in the barrel of the launcher, thus there is force to react to, thus there would be a reaction equal and opposite to the total force required to accelerate the rocket from 0 m/s to its muzzle velocity within the length of the barrel, and such a reaction, given the 0 G environment, would propel the guard back wards. Rpg's and rocket launchers don't SEEM to have that much recoil because alot of the force is expelled out the back, however, there is still substantial forward acceleration, thus some amount of force is involved giving rise to the equal and opposite reaction. further point: the recoil from a rifle (assuming that's what you were comparing to given your comment about explosions inside the barrel) is not due to the explosion itself. in a closed system, no single-sirectional recoil would be felt from an explosion, it is the expulsion of the gas and the bullet which causes the rifle/pistol to kick back.
Ah thanks for the info!
Sokandueler95 however backblast launchers are intended to use...well...backblast to counter the force of the rocket. Maybe not equivalent, but enough that the movement in any given direction in 0G wouldn't be too extreme? I'm just speculating, I'm no expert on this matter of course

OMG PLEASE Everything GREAT About how to train your dragon 2!!!!
Agreed.
Yes!
Oh god yes please. That movie gets way too much flak as a mandatory sequel to a hyper successful animated film but it was actually legitimately fantastic on its own!!
Groot's Dragon you get a like for your name.
*I am Groot* That means I love this movie
HellHawX Omega I am Groot (I am Groot)
HellHawX Omega I
OK
I *am* Groot it means i also love this movie
m
"Apparently Nebula doesn't even need the future dimension's broken leg serum sold on every corner." Ah slipping in a Rick and Morty reference,I see what you did there.
I thought that was a Rick and Morty reference...
In 6:34 he talked about celestial movie, how much was he wrong
Congrats to you and your wife dude!
Just saw guardians 2 yesterday, can't wait till you do that one already.
I'm sad he didn't go "Amy Pond!" when Nebula had her first scene
2:31. After volume 3, I wonder how u realised this (comics probably) and how surprised everyone will be who also rewatched this video after volume 3
Goblet of Fire is the next film?
I JUST REALISED THAT!
Definitely.
Right I knew there was a reason I got the Harry Potter vibe. It's like the grave or something isn't it?
TheDark4light I believe it's the opening scene, when the snake crawls out of a skull
I´ve been raised with Coldmirror. Yes, this is definetly Goblet of Fire. I have seen this screen about 40 times by now ^^
Goblet of Fire? Goblet of Fire.
1:08 When they redid this scene in endgame, i cried when i heard the music kick in.
I absolutely love how Ronan the Accuser is literally just Joe MacMillan if he was born in space. It's not just that they're the same actor, but really if Joe had been born on Hala, Ronan is exactly who he'd grow up to be.
This video should be titled, "Everything's GREAT About Guardians of the Galaxy!"
Ryan R. I know!!
?
Joe Prado What's the matter?
Ryan R. ???
+redstone craft guy Am I missing something?
Thinking about it, Ego technically has one of the thickest skulls in the universe
Knowhere's skull is still intact.
StardustSpix I quite like your profile image.
StardustSpix that is a cute starlight profile pic.
Because of his ego ....
So that's where Quill gets it.
every scene of drax is a gem. look at the ravager giving him a celebratory punch and Drax taking it as a attack :D
im obsessed with yondu and the ravagers , i could do with a whole movie just about him !!!
I know, right
Unfortunately,he died in the 2nd movie
I mean you got Volume 2...
Who else is excited for the second movie?
Paper Bag me
Dude It's great belive me
everyone!
Paper Bag I saw it yesterday, gotta say i was quite dissapointed. It had some great elements and i love the lightness of the first movie, but VOL2 had too much cheesy jokes in every damn scene and in all action that ruined it...Also it had waay too much baby groot and it started to get annoying.
OMG yes yes yes YES!!! Out today :) I want to see it. I love Groot :)
Last comment. I love how when drax pets rocket, you can see his tail uncurl as he's relaxing. Sweet moment.
He flinches at first too. You can tell he didn’t expect someone to treat him that way.
9:53 Yes, Gamora is sleepy and Peter has the sniffles, but also earlier Rocket seems to find his suit a little too tight as evidenced by his tugging on it.
2:31 pain
yeah :(
yeah :(
