That folding shelf on the swing-out tire carrier is absolutely brilliant! All the other mods are also great. He could fab and sell everything he added, or contract with hiker to do these next level mods!

Beautiful rig but when he said he only held 5 gallons of water I just shook my head....if it works for him then it's all good but watching these vids everyone imagines what they would do right? All that awesome storage, awesome shower, and all those extras yet no one could last more than 2-3 days with a 5 gallon tank. This is probably the best Hiker I've seen on YT though
Voltron512 he does carry more water in canteens.

All that extra stuff on the outside will get ripped off on rough trails but your rv campsites will be fine.

ALWAYS Close doors and zip tents when not in them. Wasps, bees, moths, birds, insects and other THINGS can make their way in. Then at night - OUCH!
By the time the manufacturer customizes the trailer and those with skills continue customizing, you have spent quite a bit of money. Particularly adding bathroom must have. Why not get an already outfitted trailer? At least that is what I have to do. Never had welding abilities. Great trailer though.
Hey Matt I'm trying to decide between the extreme offroad and the mid range hiker. When it comes to tougher backroad terrain do you feel the mid range is sufficient? The extreme offroad seems like over kill. Also do you if there is a price list somewhere of the additional options. Hikers site only seems to list the base prices.
David Baldry if you are doing dirt roads the midrange is fine. If you plan on Terrain off road, Jeep style trails water crossings off road model for sure. That said if I had the money I love the styling better of the off road. My wife doesn’t care for the step to get in the off road. She likes the height of the mid range.
David Baldry once you email them you can get a price breakdown of all the items you spec so you can trim to fit your budget.

Hey guys i seriously cannot find the cabinets that are used for for the water heaters. I see he has two sizes there thats awsome..where the heck do i find these!!driving me crazy

Where was the shower shown in this video purchased? How about the hot water heater and water pump, was this installed by Hiker
Larry T Bowman Larry I believe the hot water was ordered from hiker and the pump work was Dons. I will have to check on this.
Thanks so much. When you looked at small camping trailers did you also check out Escapade and Runaway trailers? What led you to buy Hiker? I like that Hiker and Escapade both have 10 foot models
@@larrytbowman5962 We had a chance to stop at the Hiker factory in IN a couple years ago and were impressed with the quality of the work that was being done. Hiker also had more options to choose from when we put our order in. As for the shower room shown in the video - Don made it himself.
Good vid but the volume was very difficult to hear as you did the walk around. Even at full volume i couldn't always make out what was being said and i have great hearing. Enjoyed the vid though very nice rig.👍

James Neal I cant afford a high end camera I shoot on an iPhone so audio needs to be close. I did add a new plug in mic this time sorry for and adjustment noises. Still getting used to it.
