WBC/WBO world champion Naoya “Monster” Inoue and WBA/IBF king Marlon Tapales will collide in an undisputed junior featherweight showdown on Tuesday, December 26 at Ariake Arena in Tokyo. Inoue, already a four-division world champion, seeks to become the second fighter to earn four-belt undisputed status in a second division.

  • Mannys punching power is what knocks these guys out which i dont think the media gives him the credit he desrves.     • Can't say that. Chris Algieri is an Out-fighter type of boxer with great footwork and solid jabs designed to defend a fighter like Manny, but Manny's speed and power are just extraordinary. Props to Algieri's stamina and power to withstand 12 rounds w/manny 👊

  • What i noticed (& probably admire) from algeri is that his humbleness, he has a good character as a boxer. When he hit manny below the belt line twice ( rd 5&6) he bowed as if " okay, my bad, my mistakes, im sorry). And i felt they (manny and algeri ) has respect to each other❤

  • Algeiri should just played his distance and try to get feint counter punches. He is too invested in drawing back when he sees Manny charges. Did not quite spell in later rounds when he seems tired. His job was to fight no matter what the cost. Boxing in the ring is not for thinking and sticking to the plan, it is adjusting and adapting while exerting your best effort to punch, there is no drug for that - not unless you are Marquez. We see how Ugas was the last fighter Manny faced. Ugas never backed down.

  • Pacquiao was my favorite to watch, but it’s kind of frustrating to watch him not cut off the ring. He would have had more knockouts had he simply stepped in front of his opponents instead of letting them circle out

    • He doesn’t have punching power. He uses his length and distance control to try to win fight from the outside. It won him a world title fighting that way, and using that style was his best chance of beating someone like Pacquiao

  • To be fair Algieri isn’t too shabby. he did some things very well, however his lack of conviction and consistency inhibits his ability to command respect. he’s already proven that he can attack in both directions. he just has to embrace the stress, bite down, and remain defensively responsible while sticking to the game plan. he has the tools/skills to beat pacquiao🤷🏼
