  • Back in the early 70's, a band recorded an avant garde rock album in Europe and the Synth was dynamite. It turned out that after years of hearing the clips I recorded from the radio, I realized it wasn't a synth, it was a kazoo. The band was probably Faust.

  • Always a sucker for the *Insert Interment* Metal videos. Watching this reminded me of something my younger brother used to do on the last day of his 8th grade year. He went to a dollar store and bought as many kazoos as he could for like 20 bucks (which was way more then you would think) and just started handing them out to random kids at lunch. The amount of chaos he caused that day was just magical.

  • Hey man, just wanted to come and say thanks. its because of youtubers like you, kazuki isogai, ichika, zander zon, etc. Ive finally reached a point in my journey as a musician and guitarist where i can say im proud enough of how i play to actually justify spending a decent amount on a guitar. i went to browse today. i started learning neo soul about two weeks ago, and my acoustic guitar my dad handed down to me was just too much torture for me to handle the constant slides. I picked up a seafoam green gretsch that was just screaming my name from the minute i walked in. two filtertron pickups, a tremolo bar, 4 knobs, mother of pearl neo classic inlay. i went in thinking about getting a sonic strat or something of that price range. but the minute i picked up that gretsch, i fell in fucking love. i havent been able to top looking at it and playing it since i picked it up about 7hours ago ahahaha. the passion, the charisma, and the crazy level of skill ive seen you and the other youtubers represent, that level of self expression without words. its something ive wanted so fucking badly my entire life. so bad it hurt. thanks to you all constantly showing and reminding me through hard work that its all possible, i bit the bullet. and threw 700 dollars at the gretsch. its the best decision ive ever made in my life. the quality of sound, the feel, just the presence and confidence it gives. thank you for inspiring the next generation, thank you for not letting me quit. i know they say playing guitar isnt a personality trait yada yada. Ive never felt like this before in my life. unapologetically myself. not self conscious or anxious. normally i never plug a guitar in at the store, it's just not me. but after trying it for a second i had to hear that gretsch sing for real. its like nothing else and no one else mattered in the moment. just the music, the sound. I dont care if i dont sound perfect yet, ill be there some day. Now my eyes are finally open to the beauty that is the journey. Ive been on hiatus after hiatus when it comes to practicing. after today im never making that silly mistake again. im never putting it back down. So thanks again man, really.
