Thanks for watching!
So @ 2:46 is that a baby Wampa from Star Wars?
Great my vet said as long as my german shepherd working line pup will go is fine. So we have done some 40 min walks at 13 weeks old. Ugh now I'm worried.
Yes, we definitely recommend keeping those walks shorter, or making them decompression walks where the walking is more slow, exploratory and more ambling. That's a lot less pressure on growth plates that are still forming.
@@HowToTrainADreamDog Thanks will work towards doing that. It looks more enjoyable for her and beneficial for the time being.
Great video and appreciate all the helpful tips. Thank you! We are a very active couple that does lots of hiking, ski touring, etc. when do you consider a dog fully grown (after one year?)? We get an American Bully in about two weeks

Awesome thank you so much ❤
I asked my vet about an excessive limit and they said let my puppy dictate. Go as long as I want until my puppy gets tired and lays down. Have literally had days with multiple half an hour walk/jogs in the past week since I’ve had her. Very concerned now…
We recommend limited exercise. It's better to be safe than sorry. There are plenty of other ways to work your dog's body and brain without excessive exercise.
The first section is about not undertaking too much “hard, strenuous exercise” but that term goes completely undefined. What is it? Is it agility and hiking or is it walking? The first two are given as examples but then you say no more than 5 minutes of walking twice a day per month of age. Why is walking considered a “hard, strenuous exercise” for a puppy? Is that even correct to classify is it as that? The writing doesn’t clarify. The introduction promises a “magic formula” for Puppy exercise and stimulation. At no point is there actually a formula given. Just general advice about balancing physical and mental stimulation. That’s as far away from a formula as you can get. You talk about a schedule and getting an idea for how much exercise/stimulation a dog needs but don’t answer that specific question at all. Am I just supposed to do every single thing that you recommend or what? If you set up a question to be answered in the beginning, the audience is going to expect that question to be answered.
Our videos can provide some general information, but dog training isn't cookie cutter and each dog is different. If you have additional questions specific to your puppy, we'd be happy to help you.
