As a neutral fan this game was amazing to watch
Are you high? Perhaps, if you like sloppy defense (poor defensive coverage by both teams but especially Pittsburgh). Detroit's chances were usually from awful breakdowns on the Pens' D. The Wings goalie was atrocious. Both teams are vying for a playoff spot, right? They play like that? I guess most fans nowadays are teenagers and don't know anything about hockey. That was a good game if you like all-star/exhibition type performances.
However, if either team played like that in the playoffs, they would get swept.

Absolutely electric game. I was counting on the big game experience of the Penguins for this one. Also, getting stripped and out skated by Big Jeff Carter is a tough look!
Howso? Carter is faster than most of the pens roster and probably one of the top 2 way forwards on the team.
Even though I can't stand Pittsburgh I was so happy for Jeff Carter on that huge short handed goal. What a long road that he's been on.

One of the legacies of the Crosby era is how often Detroit was there as a foil. This game was nuts, and Sid was out there playing like he’s trying to make a name for himself in this league. A man possessed.
been watching the last hand full Penguins games for the Playoff push.. Crosby is the greatest all-round player of all time. Offensive and Defensive IQ at the pinnacle. Incredible watching this guy play, what a treat.

Also a leaf fan and I've been enjoying the pen's playoff push more than Papi's 70 goal push, this is peak hockey. And yeah Sid is easily one of the top 10 all time hockey players of all time.

The Pittsburgh Penguins are really hitting their stride at the perfect moment. Crosby's performance has been absolutely stellar. However, I can't help but worry about a potential early exit in the first round due to concerns about their goaltending and coaching.
Goaltending is the best it's been in years, 4 of those goals were 100% letang and karlsson fault, if that's cleaned up, they have the experience to compete
Defensive play by everyone looked really suspect. Is that on coaching?

Exciting game tonight. Playoff game atmosphere. Both teams battled hard. Was fun to watch..So happy to see big Jeff Carter score a nice short handed goal on a breakaway. As an L.A.resident, he was always one of my favorite Kings players. A truly nice guy and a great competitor. Hopefully , he gets to play in the playoffs one more time. Since he might retire soon.Nobody knows for sure yet.

Как раз на ближайшие сезоны Айзерман собрал опытных игроков под решение задачи - выход в плей-офф. Еще и зимой к ним добавил Патрика Кейна. Если бы не провал в марте, когда Детройт одержал всего 3 победы при 11 поражениях, то Детройт бы уверенно шел в зоне плей-офф. Сейчас приходится зубами цепляться за каждое очко.

As a REAL goaler (from the 80s), I don't need my D to block the puck BUT, I do need him to get the F out of the way so I can lock my eyes on the blast from the point of contact - EASY SAVE. Shot blocking is the goalie's job, not the forwards or the D. Their job is to attack the shooter and make him pay much the same way D linemen attacks the quarterback. Also, Lyon has to either grab the puck or clear it hard. Bad failure on his part.

So frustrating. Lyon is effin AWFUL on long clean look shots. If you keep getting beat six hole and over the shoulder outside the crease your technique is garbage. Red Wings aren't making the playoffs until Yzerman brings in a winning goaltender. What a let down.
