Also, why didn't I include QQQ? Because it has less than a 10% return since inception. QQQ was started 1999 during the dot com era. The Fidelity NASDAQ ETF ONEQ was started in 2001 so it does have a better starting point. However, the point is that SPY has the longest track record and has gone through more market cycles.
