Many called as a one off but then changed their opinion,also the twist is good,exactly what a man whould experience if he saw his entire family die in front of him and then drive through the town he tried to get away from
@@kelson2516 maybe a good twist, but definitely not for this game. the twist makes almost every quick time event feel useless in the end, as everyone was already dead. and the witch trials segments weren’t even real so in my opinion by the end half of the story feels useless. the twist might be clever but it just leaves too many plot holes, it’s just bad writing.

Carver was the mayor of little hope when the present family died in the fire,andrew could blame reverend carver as he is the one who closed the factories thus leading to his parents arguing,in the whole witch trial segment everyone there blamed mary for killing everyone and so could andrew as the bus driver,it was your choice that he made up his mind remembering his past,when he saves mary,she thanks him and hugs him,but andrew then says in the subtitles "but i didn't save you" so he still feels guilty for megans death,or you could burn mary,continuing his and everyone's suspicion of her in the present with the fire,the past and the future as everyone was thinking she's a wierd kid.Ok,i know that was a lot,but stick with me here,the deaths of the characters after the bus crash absolutely make sense,the curator always talks about inner demons and how you need to face them alone.The thing is those demons that were chasing us during the game were their demons,as those characters died we could see all the negative traits of the characters(deceptive,indignant,doubtful) and we could get rid of those negative traits by making the right choices,so that they don't die at the house where they burned again as their traits are the one that got them in the fire and how poorly everyone treated megan except andrew.So basically all of the dead family members except megan were seeking redemption by being heroic,part of the team,being a responsible leader,being understanding and kind.In the end the curator says that some found redemption,some didn't.And when andrew finds the bus and the characters disappear,they all say to forgive himself,that it's not his fault they died and that he did everything he could.Could even be that the voices are real and are ghosts from the past but it wasn't hinted enough.Then there 3 endings,him going in jail for almost shooting vince,going away free on the bus,and shooting himself if he couldn't save anyone as he couldn't when the house was burning,imagine the trauma on the guy.So basically most of the plotholes are closed by collecting clues,which they did not as the controls are truly shit.Thanks for reading this far btw

Fact: If John, Taylor, Daniel and Angela die and Andrew has the gun, he will take his own life, but if the gun is out of bullets or you blamed Carver at Mary's trial, he wont.

Kind of annoying that NO ONE can understand the actual meaning of this story and will just be all cranky instead of even trying to think about it. It’s about forgiveness and trauma - If you pay attention you can see that Mary is being assaulted by the priest just like how she is in the medieval era (sorta mainly shown by how much the priest wants her to keep their ‘secret’ and holds her back after church in the 70s), she was troubled and made mistakes (big one at that). Andrew needed to learn how to forgive Mary for what she did and understand that it wasn’t all her fault and the priest that was the villain, he caused a butterfly effect that led to his entire family dying. He additionally needed to learn how to forgive himself for not being able to save his family, he created an entire arc with ghosts and people who’re spitting images of his family just so he can try to save them since he failed to before. I personally love the ending, I understand the annoyance of your actions not meaning anything since the characters weren’t real to begin with but its about the STORY and its actual meaning.

Like, I personally wouldve preferred if it was some sort of weird time distortion thing just because these games are meant to be just dumb fun rather than investing narratives, but honestly as far as “it was all fake” type stories go this one did it pretty damn well I will never get why people call stories like this a “waste of time”. Like, at the end of the day theyre still fictional characters regardless of if theyre real in-game. Their time isnt any more or less valuable than the man of medan character’s time just because in-story they arent real

I thought it was all in this guy's mind at first and hated the ending, but re-watching I like to think this group of people all became spirits who reincarnate and die over and over again. After the fire they were still attatched to Andrew since he didn't die and I guess their bodies, who were chasing them, were trying to take them away from Andrew's mind or whatever.

Charlie sucks at these games. I can't see the twitch chat but when someone pointed out that he sucks he got very defensive which is hilarious. I've watched him play a lot of games with QTE and he almost always fails and says the same thing. "I wasn't paying attention." fucking comedy gold. Love Charlie but man for making a living from playing games he isn't very good at them.

does anyone know if dark pictures is still making games? they seems to be actually really popular to stream but like the audience generally doesnt buy the game after. they seem like something that is just going to go under because only 1 person is paying for every million or so people that watch the game, it at least seems that way. cant be a profitable method of game distrubution.

The people that have mad this game yearly first named made until dawn in 2015 which even tho it’s old it looks good and is 100% worth the play then they mad man of Medan which is still fun even if u watched the game same with little hope and then this year they made house of ashes which is one of my personal favirotes and they are making another one in august or October called heart of a killer I think but I could be wrong I hope this helped

The witch trial stuff is cuz that really happened in little hope and he wa depersonalization the experiences / memories to evaluate and work through some stuff. If you investigate everything you get the full story. The priest is a real person who did stuff. The little hope witch trials were really orchestrated by a pedo priest abusing his power to molest at least one girl. He then blankets his family over the historic events because megan was also being molested by a priest which led to her acting weird and lashing out/ getting bad grades etc, and her family was oblivious although in hindsight, to himself , it was obvious.
I suppose you have to redeem each character, read everything, and think about the pieces the whole time to appreciate how good the story and ending really are
The ending was amazing, the story was amazing, but you had to read everything and investigate

Wait… so what the fuck was he doing before all this went down? Has he just been walking around with his ragtag ghost family since he was a kid? Because the cop just saw an empty bus at the start while the driver thought it was full, so has he been insane since the accident? Why the fuck is he driving a bus to begin with if thats the case? Where is he taking it? Hes not a school bus driver, because its already night time. Did they just not think about how the ending effects the start?
A little late but “Andrew” developed severe psychological problems after the house fire that killed his family including hallucinations, but he still lives his life. 50 or so years later he works as a bus driver for a bus company, while driving through the woods in Massachusetts, and after stopping and picking up a man at a diner, he’s stopped by a cop who tells him to detour cause of an accident up ahead, and tells him to go through the town of little hope, which was his childhood town with the fire. Driving through, a man and a woman start arguing about the detour, getting annoyed he turns around and try’s to shut them up and turns back he sees a girl in the middle of the road which he swerved to avoid causing the crash and the rest is history. Im guessing that fire really messed him up and driving back to the town finally caused him to snap. Everyone he saw was either from the house fire, or from his college years, save for Vince, who still lives in little hope and Blames Andrew for the fire and the cop. It’s never said what happened to the other passengers after the crash but I’m assuming they all got off and went to go get help. Or they called an Uber idk

then watch another playthrough.. in literally every game charlie plays he tries to make it fun and plays around with it a bit instead of doing the "good thing" if u find it annoying just watch someone else..
Man, compared to Jerma985's Fuckthrough of Little Hope, Charlie is a professional gamer. That is a playthrough that deserves all the crap from chat because Jerma failed every single QTE and killed every single character, singlehandedly. He is without a doubt, a sus streamer. Edit: Also people need to realize part of the appeal of this kind of game, is seeing the failed QTE's, those are the funniest and best part of these games. And additionally, it doesn't matter narratively even if they survive. The narrative of this game feels like a cross between a subversion of expectations of this being a time distortion, when in fact it's trying to be _"Identity"_ (Movie directed by James Mangold and stars John Cusack) only doing a poorer job of it. People should really just try not to take the plot of a game like this seriously because it's akin to a B-horror movie, and being critical and serious about such a game defeats the purpose of it, to begin with (in my opinion).
The game is also about trauma and dealing with ptsd. And depending on the your choices, it can end terribly.
@@mariaguglielmo1532no offense, but trauma is a vague example, and I gave a specific example about a character having a Disassociative Identity Disorder episode for a movie (which you should check out btw if you haven't seen it) . I get this is a year old reply but whatever. This is for the flow of thought I had for this moment in time.

What, do you think every choice and dialogue is supposed to change the course of the story entirely?
@@VTGN-II it's so damn annoying when games do that. One little dialogue option just to see what it does and boom that NPC hates you and won't give you that side quest needed for the good ending. So stupid people think everything needs to be utmost urgency and important to the story. Of course it's also a problem if things are not urgent or important enough. Half/half sounds about right, so until dawn is in fact a masterpiece.
Until dawn was much better than these but it was pretty shit too. The writing team for these games have always sucked ass which made a lot of the dialogue and characterization just insufferable in every game. Best way to play them is to not take them seriously and do whatever you want. Be a dick to one other, let people die in ridiculous ways. That's the most enjoyable way to play these games.
