Lana Del Rey - Venice Bitch (Lyrics)
Fear fun, fear love
Fresh out of fucks forever
Tryin' to be stronger for you
Ice cream, ice queen
I dream in jeans and leather
Live stream, I'm sweet for you
Oh God, miss you on my lips
It's me, your little Venice bitch
On the stoop with the neighborhood kids
Callin' out, bang bang, kiss kiss
You're in the yard, I light the fire
And as the summer fades away
Nothing gold can stay
You write, I tour, we make it work
You're beautiful and I'm insane
We're American-made
Give me Hallmark
One dream, one life, one lover
Paint me happy in blue
Norman Rockwell
No hype under our covers
It's just me and you
Oh God, miss you on my lips
It's me, your little Venice bitch
On the stoop with the neighborhood kids
Callin' out, bang bang, kiss kiss
You're in the yard, I light the fire
And as the summer fades away
Nothing gold can stay
You write, I tour, we make it work
You're beautiful and I'm insane
We're American-made
Oh (Yeah), oh (Yeah), oh (Yeah)
Soundin' off, bang bang, kiss kiss
Oh (Yeah), oh (Yeah), oh (Yeah)
Soundin' off, bang bang, kiss kiss
Oh God, want you on my lips (I do, I do)
It's me, your little Venice bitch (Yes, it is)
On the stoop with the neighborhood kids
Soundin' off, bang bang, kiss kiss
Oh, shatter (Yeah), oh, shatter (Yeah, yeah), oh, shatter (Yeah)
(Soundin' off, bang bang, kiss kiss)
Yeah (Yeah), oh (Yeah), oh (Yeah)
(Soundin' off, bang bang, kiss kiss)
Yeah, yeah
You heard my baby's back in town now
You should come, come over
We'll be hanging around now
You should come, come over
Oh God, I love him on my lips
It's me, your little Venice bitch
Touch me with your fingertips
It's me, your little Venice bitch
Back, back in the garden
We're getting high now because we're older
Me myself, I like diamonds
My baby, crimson and clover
(La-la-la-la-la-la, losers, beautiful losers)
(La-la-la-la-la-la, losers, beautiful, losers)
Wha-wha-wha-wha-whatever
Everything, whatever
Wha-wha-wha-wha-whatever
Everything, whatever
Ah, ah, ah, ah
Ah yeah, ah yeah
(La-la-la-la-la-la, losers, beautiful losers)
Ah yeah, ah
(La-la-la-la-la-la, losers, beautiful losers)
La-la-la-la-la-la, losers, (Yeah) beautiful losers (Yeah)
La-la-la-la-la-la, losers, (Yeah) beautiful losers (Yeah)
La-la-la-la-la-la, losers, beautiful losers
La-la-la-la-la-la, losers, beautiful losers
Back in the garden
We're getting high now because we're older
Me myself, I like diamonds
My baby, crimson and clover
Crimson and clover, honey
Crimson and clover, honey
Crimson and clover, honey
Crimson and clover, honey
Crimson and clover, honey
Crimson and clover, honey
Over and over, honey
Over and over, honey
Over and over, honey
Over and over, honey
Over and over
If you weren't mine, I'd be
Jealous of your love
If you weren't mine, I'd be
Jealous of your love
If you weren't mine, I'd be
Jealous of your love
If you weren't mine, I'd be
Jealous of your love
If you weren't mine, I'd be
Jealous of your love

      @meumundosecreto7694@meumundosecreto76944 жыл бұрын
    • @Raging Red this is probably like the informal meaning of bitch, which can be a insult, because it basicly means bad persons. In this case, we are probably using one of the informal meanings, that got "lighter", because some, not all, use it to call/talk to their friends. An example " Hi, bitch, how are you ? ", " I'm fine, bitch ". So, basicly people turn the word bitch to friend. Does that make sense?? I could explain it differently.

      @meumundosecreto7694@meumundosecreto76944 жыл бұрын
    • @Raging Red for what I know, she has(had?) some issues with feminism and has internilize misogyny. But we should remember that she got depressed and said she wanted to kill herself and everybody was critizing her for it; instead of helping her. Because is that what you should do, when you see someone who needs help, you help. You don't bitch her. Anyways, thankfully she didn't do it, because we know what it would happen, people would again glamorize suicide. About her lyrics, you can take any meaning from it. It can be a way to know that you're in trouble, identify what kind of sadness or whatever, I'm a new fan of her, so I may just be saying non sense. Besides, why would an action, personality, choices of a artist really chance that much your point of the music. There's like her meaning and your meaning and thousands of interpretations for you to just pick what pleases you.

Are you kidding me?’ It’s called ‘Venice Bitch.’ Like why do you do this to us? Can you make a three-minute normal pop song? • One thing I love about Lana is that she's not afraid to use current tech while conveying a nostalgic atmosphere. Like the clips where she's shining a phone light on her. If she wanted a "timeless" feeling she could've used any type of lighting instead of a phone that could give a very time-specific feeling to the video. But she's not afraid to ground herself in the time she's in, almost like she's turning her present into nostalgia for her future self to look back to. Idk if that makes any sense lol

Lana has always provided the sound, and it mixed with tripping is simply bliss.

And in a way, we all do that, we all fall for it, long for it but deep inside we know our dreams are already gone, because what we crave has never existed and never will. We all have lost our great love.

  • I cannot begin to express the sense of loss or longing this song instills in me. There is just something so melancholy in the most beautiful way about it and I don’t get it. Like I’m experiencing the sad memories of someone else while listening.

  • This woman has a true gift. Something very few artists have. The ability to immerse the listener/viewer into her world and into her head without trying. She simply just does what she feels. The fact that her label and management let her put out a non pop 10 minute single shows that they truly believe in her as an artist and believe in self expression and that's so rare in the industry of labels treating artists as money making machines. She and Jack are putting out the record of a lifetime.

    • tjohnnie01 couldn’t agree more. She’s taking us to a place of imaginary freedom with her artistry every time. Makes us feel free for these few minutes. It just adds to this that her label lets her do whatever she wants. I think this day and age, this is what we need as music. It makes us quit from the real world for a few minutes.

  • Obviously the born to die/paradise era is the Lana we know and love. The Lana we were introduced to. But I love that Lana changes up her vibe and character. Her style changes every album and I love it because when I go back to born to die, I get that same feeling that I got when I first listened. Same for UV, Honeymoon, etc. I love the variety she gives us. She doesn’t care about anything but the music and you have to admit she’s one of the only artists out there with the passion and love for the ART. As much as I would LOVE for another born to die vibe era, I don’t mind the changes. It makes BTD that much more special. And I get more excited for what’s to come!
