  • I was a stone crafter for 20+ mostly kitchen, bathrooms, tubs, pools, stairs, columns, pedestal, crown and baseboards, custom pieces and once a 3' tall vase like these ones. I love and know exactly everything in this video. It's beautiful...

  • Someday... yes... Someday, we will get masks for our workers. We heard they will live longer with masks. Skilled people must live longer to teach the newer generation. Also, we will remember... to clean our factory everyday at the end of the shift.

  • Very impressed to see how you manufacture those marble vases with those primitive lathes !!!!! Makes me appreciate my exact same vase (72 cm tall) a thousand times more !!!!! Bought mine at a show in Pretoria, South Africa about fifteen years ago from an Indian chap who was selling various marble products in his stall.

    • These are not primitive lathes made especially to make onyx and marble ware in Pakistan. India does not onyx deposits

  • Probably exactly how the ancient civilizations did it. They had lathe technology, you see the exact same pottery made from marble, diorite and granite that are thousands of years old. Thanks for sharing

  • This video just informed me of how things were done in the ancient past. There was nothing more than basic tools: Lathes, Sandpaper, Cutting Heads, Glue, and a good dose of craftsmanship that led to the creation of so much in antiquity that we marvel over today wondering how it was done/made. Everything from that incredibly strong adhesive (which I want to know what it is and how it is made) to how stone was cut/carved and even polished... This video has answered everything.

  • Amazing in more ways than one, the actual creation of an impressive marble vase, the rough equipment used to produce the vase, and the "very unsafe and unhealthy conditions" under which the workers create the vases.!!! Likely they get barely enough payment to feed themself and their dependants, and as such they are "basically slaves" who's welfare is of no consequence to their employer, or the buyers of the marble vases for that matter 🤔.!!! But then, the harsh reality is that, without the production of the vases etc, the worker's in that industry would be even WORSE off. 😔 !!! Stay safe and help making the world a better place!!!   • I want to know the recipe for the adhesive that can hold a 100lb slab of marble, on a back plate while it dangles in mid air as he gets the tail stock moved in to hold it from the other side. That is s very serious mixture!
