  • Thank you Peter and Christopher for giving us a truly magical glimpse into Peter's world. It really puts over Peter's sense of curiosity and how he became the engineer he is, and I love how his work exemplifies that "necessity is the mother of invention" when he explained how he needed to transport his 3D work easily and so made it foldable to 2D to transport. The film is delightful, taking our eye right into the stuctures. Delightful and informative and both film and structures beautifully envisioned and put together, actually moved me to tears in a couple of places!

NASA may be interested in this type of work, condensing things to a minimum and at the same time being able to expand when necessary. I know they use origami artists for such things as solar sails and solar cells. The art of folding to the absolute minimum is a requirement close to every NASA`s scientists hearts. My thanks are also extended to Christopher Helkey for a superb and very well put together video. The quality was excellent. Most sincerely JF ( UK )

  • His art, his process, even his narrative, especially his humility ...are ethereal, hypnotic. Just watching and listening has such a calming effect. (Of course, if I were cutting, measuring, gluing -- there would be no serenity, no peace, just a decoupaging twit who gave up long before Art had a chance lol!) Bravo Mr Dahmen for revealing the fortitude and patience that is exacted for creativity to have a chance. You have both and more -- in unparalleled, spectacular abundance.
