SueAnne McAvoy yes they are so protective , i admitt , every celebrity in the world no matter what shit he/she put him/her self in it even it's massive and the fans turn their back on him/her , is bound to have some loyal fans ... and to tell the truth tom didn't do anything really wrong , he's just dating , the problem i guess is that the fans were upset because he teased them with his pics with taylor , declaring to the world he's dating and in love but in the same time he refused to admitt it , as if saying , you're allowed to witness but do not interfere , did he forget that the fans around the world are the ones who made him famous in the first place , if they leave him , he would be nothing !!!
it will be very interesting to see how the rest of his career plays out. his fame has never translated to box office success for him as a leading man. now that his fame has taken a turn, shall we say, let's see where he goes.
A very good friend of mine was not a fan until she met Tom at an event and was so impressed by him that she became a big fan. This speaks volume about Tom' character.

Arlette De Jong. Because he's not a performing monkey to sing and dance at our command. I hate it when fans do that shit, "Like do something for me. Just for me. Even though we're in a room with 200 other people, I want you to make me feel special." It's like, damn, just sit there and enjoy it. Zach (who has a far better voice) already sang to her. Its just never enough for some people.
Oh come on!! It was a little funny. You know how they say "you miss 100% of the chances you don't take", that's sort of what he meant. She raised her hand to ask a question, she must've expected atleast a little bit for them to pick her. He was being sweet and a little flirty, come on. :)

Nah, I'm on Zachary Levi's side. It's one thing if you tell somebody it's your birthday and they decide they want to sing happy birthday for you, but to put somebody on the spot by asking them to sing for you when they may not feel like singing is a bit self-important.

I don't know if you've ever traveled from Australia's Gold Coast to L.A. but it's BRUTAL jet lag. I'm incredibly impressed that with only a one day turn around he managed to plow through back to back, non-stop press with his usual charm and graciousness when he must be dead on his feet. Much appreciated! Thank you Nerd HQ and Tom.
I have.. and totally agree with you. I know how he does it: it is his natural intelligence and unflappable quality that makes all of his appearances seem effortless.. And the fact that he seems genuinely interested in these events.

Listening to and watching Tom speak is so aesthetically and mentally soothing.
Any changes in Tom might mean maturity. He seemed very fine in his responses, his calm might mean tiredness. Oh and he is very handsome!

True, Jamie! The tone of these interviews with Tom is always respectful, intelligent and humorous. Tom is a class act and so are his fans - doubt anybody at this level of intellectual exchange would descend into gossip/paparazzi type questions.

Maybe it's just me but Tom didn't seem like his usual self. Usually he is full of happiness and has a glow around him. But I didn't see that from him. It kinda made me sad.
It does! Perhaps he was really exhausted from his flight and constant work. He's still spectacularly charming and intelligently humorous with his words- but as a long time fan I sense his lack of vivacity as well. I hope he's alright.
I feel the exact same way. It might be because he is tired. I was watching his 2013 nerd hq panel, and it felt like he was a completely different person. It made me kinda sad too.

Ikr, I wish there was a way we as fans can somehow show him that we do care for his health and well-being. I'm worried about him. I don't know if it's him becoming older, or what but he seems a little quieter and more serious. Tom's still happy and cheerful at times but not as bubbly or lively as before.
