What a lovely human. Recycling, positive, funky, just wants everyone to have fun.
Hi Erika Miller! You make me smile! Thanks kindly! :) Pam :) !!
I'm loving all of this
@@ThePaperOutpost is a great Essa q
I love the way she tells little snippets of stories and experiences. Totally love the finger tapping in the first part opening scene. She talks her thoughts, which I do often, and people look at me perplexed, and I LOVE IT!
Çok güzel teşekkür ederim de çok fazla konuşuyor
You are the Bob Ross of junk journaling.
You are very kind! :) Thanks!
I love crafting! She said left wing and right wing and no one lost their mind! 😁
Watching You makes the day easier. Thank You
I love watching Pam craft!!!!
Who else rewound the video to see where she set the needle down? I could not move on till I knew! 😊 Love this video. I’m going to use your technique for a swap I’m in. Thank you for sharing the entire process. Easy to understand and follow along with.
LOL, my eternal quest for missing things :)
Love your videos!! Don't understand the thumbs down! Cruel people!
Love your commentary and sense of humour! And your art of course!
I can’t wait to go buy some old books and get started. I can’t get enough of you. 😀😀
Hi J Kelley! You have warmed my heart with your beautiful words! :) Pam :) !!
Me too. I'm thinking a biology text book with lots of pictures of weird microscopic organisms for great abstract art looking acrylic image transfers! Or an old chemistry text book. As long as it's not images of our ever- present 'Rona virus.... 😒
@@WhistleblowerLivesMatter and this is one reason why I wish I was in the US. Its so much easier to get your hands on old test books
That’s how I feel after watching this video and then after 5 minutes into making it, I call it QUIT.

First video teaching me to make 3 whole stitch. And one good teacher makes all the difference. Thank you!!
Pam,I love your passion for paper! As a retired reading teacher,I used to about stroke out when seeing someone tear up a book😳🥺I have learned to appreciate the making of books by gently taking them apart. I know books have been replaced with technology and its rewarding to know they can still be used in some way. I have learned all this by watching you. You don't know how much I truly appreciate and enjoy your renewed use for these books, never to become just trash. Thank you so much!
I love listening to crinkly paper I don’t know why it’s just the sound that’s so satisfying
Its nice to know there is another woman like me out there!
Oh thank God! ;) We are not alone Katie!
LOL "my brain migrates things when I'm not looking".. I'm going to use that from now on! I just found your channel and have absolutely fallen in love with this crafting and cannot wait to make a journal! Thank you so much for making this and easy for beginners!
When I saw your 'papers' I said to myself .... self .... I can make a journal for each of my daughters using their old school papers ...... I am excited just thinking about this .....
Hi Ann Ricci! Brilliant idea! :) !!
Ann, that is a fantastic idea!! I’ll have to file that away. Thanks for sharing your brilliant idea!
Thought exactly that with my kids school stuff and art work :)
Ann Ricci that is a great idea! I have four adult children and boxes of memorabilia and this is a fantastic idea on what to do with them.
OMGosh! Fabulous idea! I've hoarded these things because I can't bear to part with them, all the while knowing they really aren't going to necessarily want them some day (boys). Maybe this will change that! 👏🏼👏🏼
I love the sound of the paper too. It is relaxing to me
Hi Dietra Kessel! I am so happy you are out there! :) Pam :) !!
Simply the best video. I love your conversational chatter. Everything is so clear and encouraging. I can’t wait to make a junk journal. I’ve always wanted to but your video has convinced me that I can do it. Thank you!!
I just bought a super cool old book that I want to turn into a sketchbook and I am so here for this tutorial!
I found this series of videos by accident.... and oh dear what a lovely accident! Love the energy and positive vibe. It actually remind me of my work process of sculpting !!
No mistakes in handmade, its called uniqueness 😆
This tutorial is one of the most informative I’ve seen. Thank you
Hi Vickie Storey! Happy you like it! :) Pam :) !!
The sound of paper....I LOOOVEEE SO MUCHHHH😍😍
I haven’t walked this walk, so thank you very much for going over all of the steps!! 😊 I cannot wait to see the finished product.
Reminds me of the kids sewing cards I so labored over back in the day 🙂
Oh geesh,, I remember those! :)
I just like the way she speaks 🤗 love from Malaysia ❤️
I love the paper crinkle sound☺️
Why would we fast forward through the crinkly sounds!?! We all love the crinkly sounds! LOL. You are so funny as well as a great teacher. Thanks! Love this tutorial series.
You are so appreciated!! :) Pam :) !!
like the static on a vinal record :)
You have the best voice. I think I could listen to you reading a dictionary 🤗
I been looking for this exact tutorial. Thank you so much!!! 💜
You are a joy to watch and listen too🥰
Such a fabulous video. You go step by step making it easy to follow. Love ❤️ it, Thank you.
i love that you love crinkly sounds
I love your energy. I have adhd and this is right up my alley. I love art. I did want to share something I learned about tying string. With the first tie part, when you make your loop, put your sting in 2 times and it will stay when you pull it. It won't lock but will stay in place. Thank you for your videos and such easy steps.
I'm thanking you in advance for this series of videos, b/c I've only seen Parts 1 & 2, but I'm going to assume that Part 3 is as excellent as the first 2. I'm gathering beginner videos, & yours is the first one I've watched that actually has to do with how to make & assemble the actual journal using signatures. By the time I'm done with this series I feel confident that I will be able to make this sort of journal, though I'll no doubt have the video playing along with my first couple of efforts! The one thing I found difficult was the stream of commentary, which made it hard for me to concentrate on the process, but from the other comments, it seems like most people weren't bothered or enjoyed it, so clearly it's just me! Thanks so much for this series, I really appreciate people who take the time to teach as you have done.
I feel so connected to you on a spiritual level. Your brain matches mine completely. I love this so much!
I've been making books for almost a year and I'm still learning new things from each artist that I watch! TFS!
Me too Rhonda :)
I love your style of book making. It’s easy and not complicated at all. Thank you so much. Please keep us informed of any upcoming new ideas.
Lol she is so funny like she actually talked to all her tools! And the way she made her speech of thanking her darning needle, i cant- ! 😂 Thank you Pam, i am having so much fun here 😂
Annoying to me
Best and clearest description of making signatures. Thanks!
Hi Lake Lili! Thanks for this! That means the world to me! :)
You are a joy to watch. Thank you for sharing
Hi Pam, I literally just found your channel this afternoon. You can’t see me but I am jumping up and down I am so excited. I am a quilter and sewer and I bullet journal. Your world is different but I am so interested.
Hi Glenda Johnstone! Welcome to the family! If you journal and sew you will be a natural and fast! If you are a quilter that means you are a good measurer! Even better! Be warned! Journal making is highly addictive! I am very excited for you on your new journey! Keep me posted! :) Thanks for watching! :) Pam :) !!
She’s a true artist at heart! I enjoy this. My new addiction!!!
Journal making is my passion and it’s so addictive!
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you! I think this just might be a new hobby of mine. You're a wonderful teacher!
the "Gal darnit!" when you brought out the darning needle cracked me up. these videos are awesome, thanks for sharing!
This has been fun to watch! Thank you! Get some BINDER CLIPS, I think they will hold better than paper clips!
I am new to junk journaling and I came across your videos and I LOVE THEM! You explain things so simply and I have learned a lot so far. I will keep on watching you.
Hi Denise Small! Welcome to the family! I am so excited for you on your new journey into junk journals! It's a very friendly community! Come on down the rabbit hole with the rest of us and have some fun! :)Thanks for watching! :) Pam :) !!
Glad to see most of the naysayers stayed behind. Love to hear your chatter as you work through the process. Tfs.
You are so appreciated!! :) Pam :) !!
The amount of chatter was useless agony.
@@judyfitzgerald7813 I think of it as "filler" so there isn't dead air. Besides she talks as though shes talking to a friend, which isn't bad. there is the mute button.
@@judyfitzgerald7813 Use the mutey, judy. I partially tune in for the chatter. :D
@@RunninUpThatHillh @ No thanks, I found a better instruction video on the same subject whose commentator cut to the chase and simply showed how to do the project without a lot of extraneous repetition.
I adore your videos. Thank you for the instructions. I am using what I am learning to put old photos and letters in junk journals to keep things tidy and easy to look at whenever I wish.
That needle looks like heaven to me! Thats one reason i havnt taught myself to thread/sew. That tiny hole! Lol. Thank you once again as always! Good helpful tips.
Just so much fun to listen to you. A steady stream of unedited consciousness. Totally love it. Thanks for all your helpful tips. I finally made my first junk journal with your help. Thank you!
👏🏼👏🏼 VERY COOL 😎 LOVE ❤️ Your Journals , Pam , SO CUTE 🥰❗️ thank You FOR SHARING ❗️G-d♥️Bless
Love how you do your signatures - it seems so easy. I have started many journals - but the signatures scare me. After this video, I feel that I can finally put some signatures in a book❤️
You can do it! :) Have fun and remember, its only paper :)
I feel you! I'm learning that it gets easier with practice.
You should have a podcast. I love listening to the way you talk.
Hi there and thanks for our comment! :) Funny you mention this, I do have a podcast Here is the info. Links are below every video :) Podcast: The Paper Outpost: The Joy of Junk Journals! I’ve always wanted to have a junk journal but I never knew where to start! Tysm I’m going to look through my house for any old books now and give them some new life
This is my first watching you I am so eager to learn. Please don't hurry and make bad decisions or just ok. Wait until you have more time. You have so much to share make it your best.
Your tutorials are amazing! I'm so happy I found you.
Hi Dana Moore! Thanks! I am so happy you are here! :) Pam :) !!
I love the way u talk to all ur tools in between. Even I do this with the swings which I enjoy in the park while doing exercises.😁 Thank u for shat ur insights. Truly appreciate it 🤗🤩🥳
I know I’m a little late to the table but I’ve watched so many journals being made already, I thought to myself, “I can’t really possibly learn too much from watching another series”. Boy, was I WRONG! I’ve watched many being done but have only sewed in one with more than one signature and it was way more aggravating than it looked. However after watching this series, I truly believe I have learned a lot! First off, I am now sold on your secret about the two holes being closer to each other at one end than the other so that you can always tell which end is up. I believe this alone will be a game changer for me and make me enjoy this process much more. And second, I believe I can now justify a big bite crop a dile purchase and not feel guilty about it. Because after I punched my holes then by the time I fooled around with the needle going in them then at the end I found the holes to be larger In My papers anyways. But by going ahead and making them like that to begin with, means I can make them all uniform and make it look much nicer and hopefully save so much time and just zip through the sewing the signatures in process! 😳🤗😎🤓 You are super smart and also a very good teacher. Thank you so much for sharing your journal making with us. I am so glad I decided to listen to my instinct and watch this series of yours (your old books in the thumbnail is what really caught my attention). 😊🤓🤷🏻♀️😬 It really would have been my loss to not watch this. Again, thank you and Be well. 👍🏻👍🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Hi Jennifer! You are not late! You arrived at the perfect time :) I am so happy you found this series helpful! :) That means so much! Thank you for taking the time to let me know this! Welcome to the family! :) Sincerely, Pam :)
Your step by step vid is on point for a kinaesthetic visual learner like me 😁👍🏽
Hi Jaime Martin! Thanks dear heart! :)
Thank you for the attention to details! Especially with the tools you use or different ways to accomplish things. I feel SO much more confident attempting new things because of you!
First of all,I need another craft like a hole in the head but when I stumbled upon this I was definitely intrigued. When you started with dyed paper I knew I was going on the ship because I love dying my needlework fabric. I'm really into using organic dyes- berry juice, dandelions etc. I love the idea of junk journals even though I'll probably never write a word😊
Hi Carol McHargue! Welcome to the family! I am so excited for you on your new journey into junk journals! It's a very friendly community! Come on down the rabbit hole with the rest of us and have some fun! :)Thanks for watching! :) Pam :) !!

“I like the holes.. we’ll do him”... omg so funny that I’m laughing out loud to myself at midnight.

Thank you so much for this tutorial! I just sewed my first journal. I couldn’t have done it without your very clear instructions.

So much fun. Thank you for the demo, Lovely Lady. I’m going to try this. “After I get the meds I’ve made on my last project (ha). Have a glorious day Hon.
You’re giving me so many ideas with my paintings I do with flowers. I wanted to find somehow to make a vintage journal like this and add my artwork to it. This is perfect and seems easy for me to try. Loved this. Thank you ☺️
Lots of tips good for your junk journal 📓 thanks 🇨🇦❤️
I love the tutorial as I am a newbie to Junk Journals. It’s not so intimidating now.
I found this extremely interesting.
Hi Janet Stevens! I have a ton of ideas coming your way soon! Thanks for watching! :) Pam :) !!
I love your words, so entertaining... Best= Snugger-Tugger.. My brain is the same - I call it.. "Squirrel"
Had to google signatures and then thought I can definitely do this!
Thank you for this video. I haven't done anything creative for a long time. I used to make my own paper. I am feeling inspired to try this.
Upholstery thread is super strong and would work really well for this phase of the process, comes in all colors too. You will find it whereever fabric is sold
Hi Rita G! :) Amazing idea!! Thanks for sharing! :) Pam :)
You had me at "Clear the deck" - Yes! It's perfectly fine to toss away sometimes : ).
I agree Ms. Shelly May :) It's a necessity at some point :)

Just love your voice. I like following you. Your instructions are wonderful. Your sense of humour is great.
New to your channel and I just loved the way of making a journal.
Great tutorial, like the hidden spine....onto the next video. 👍🎄🎄🎄
Yes!! :)
Great instructions. Love your ideas! I have been meaning to get more hands-on craftsy with painting & journaling. I wasn't sure, till now, what to do with my old books that have no value. Making your own paper, well, sort of, is a lovely way to get contrast & texture. Thank you.
Hi Sandra Johnson! You are more than welcome! Sincerely, Pam :) !!
