Great review dude! I’ve been watching you for a while now as I’m still so undecided about what headset should replace my ancient A40 2011s... have you seen about the Audeze Penrose? Wondering you can get your hands on them to review as they look exceptional!
Glad you did a review on these, I’m an Astro fan and used the A10s for quite some time now but wanted to upgrade. Ended up ordering the steelseries arctis 7s the other day due to your review on them. I still haven’t received them yet but definitely think I’ll enjoy them and definitely didn’t think I made the wrong choice by choosing them over these A20s. I contemplated both but ultimately glad I got the arctis 7s to try out!
How'd you like them? I ended up returning my arctis 7s personally. As someone who's used just about everything under the sun for gaming headsets I found them pretty underwhelming. Currently I use wireless Razer Kiera's for my series X, and Jabra 85H's for my PC. Have never been a huge Razer fan but after tryin 5 different brands and not liking any of their current offerings, I figured it'd give razer another shot. So far so good. For reference I tried the newest wireless Xbox compatible headsets from these companies: Astros, hyper X, steel series, turtle Beach, and Razer. Surprisingly my old favorite of the bunch (the hyperx's) were my least favorite.
@@ArmisticeGaming personally I really like them! I actually recommend them to a couple of friends and family members and they’ve all liked them as well. My one gripe is that they don’t get that loud for in game sounds….they are amazing for listening to music and chatting with friends but when it comes to in game sounds I wish there was more oomph behind it like my old Astros had. Still sounds good nonetheless. And the comfortably is really what makes them top of the line for me. Definitely enjoy them but the only two brands I’ve ever dealt with is steelseries and Astro so I don’t really have much to compare with

should i get the corsair k63 or the steelseries apex 3 keyboard? I'm in the budget for a decent keyboard for around 60 bucks
The only problem for me is that the right earmuff lets in less sound then the left earmuff so when I’m wearing them I can hear outside noise from mostly my left ear and my right ear sounds like I have a slight noice cancellation to it. This issues stays even when the headset is off and these headphones are not supposed to be noice canceling anyways so idk why.

I honestly love these, the ear pads feel very plush like they said and the headband feels pretty comfortable for me. The sound is awesome with 3 settings. I get that there is better headsets but I wanted good ones for the ps5 and I thought these would be better than the pulse 3D I’m in love. These are the most expensive headphones I’ve gotten so for me, they’re awesome
Are they good on the ps5? I’m currently using razer kraken ultimate. Would they be an upgrade or not?
@@ryanwalton7969 I like them they are still great for me but I haven’t tried those. If your razor ones are old or broken I’d say go for it but they seem to be around the same price. I can’t honestly say that I’ve tried a lot of headphones.
What would you rate the mic?
@@KM-lc6hj My friends say that I sound clear to them and after a year the mic is still great so I would say a 9/10 just because it won’t have the perfect quality but it does the job and for the headset, I would give it a 9/10 as well just because even though they’re great for the price, I feel I could have splurged a little more to the 150 dollar range and might of had some better options with some better quality.
How are you liking the rubber headband? It it noticeable?
Man I got ps4 version and mostly u are correct the 1st eq it's all dead level but like u I like the highs tress rusting steel clanging and second eq man is really impressive there, it lowers bass by great bit but I feel there's enough and we'll worth trade off for how well it boost the high end, in satisfied really like this headset
Had the original A20s, couldn’t use them when I bought my series X so bought the series 2 A20s and I love them. Absolutely great quality as the originals were

@@dragongamer9885 absolutely, haven’t had an issue with them yet, and which in the same period of time the originals gave me tons of issues. Absolutely great head set. Battery lasts forever too!

I have had steel series and various other more expensive headsets. I tend to stick with these. I like the sound but most importantly they don’t ever get uncomfortable.

Can you tell me what the sound que's and for what setting they are when you hit the eq button.
Picked these up yesterday and to be honest, they are a solid B+. Sound is actually pretty good. I have the Astro a40’s as well, and the a20’s sound is just below those. But the one thing I wanted above all, was a mic that didn’t pick up background noise and just like the a40’s, the a20’s shine in that department. I had just returned the Turtlebeach 700 gen 2’s because that mic picks up all the background noise and yes I updated the firmware and had noise gate on through the app.
I had the same problems with the 700s aswell
So what should I buy the 20s or 40s??
@@LarsStw.the a40s are the higher quality version but they are much more expensive, it really depends on your price range. The a20s are still a good gaming headset
I just picked these up. I was using just a cheap xbox wired pair. They were ok just really uncomfortable after a longer gaming session and I got tired of being wired to controller. I have never had a high quality pair of headphones so I don't have much to compare these a20s to but I'm pretty happy with them. Sound pretty good and way more comfy than what I was using. I'm sure you get what you're paying for but I had a hard enough time paying 120 I couldn't imagine paying anymore than that on headphones. Anyways these are pretty decent in my opinion. I'm just a casual gamer and pretty happy with them so far.

If there's aftermarket velour earpads for the roccat elo air, then that is definitely worth it over the astros.

Is the volume loud enough?? And can u turn the volume up?? I jus opened my brand new a40 trs today wo mix amp and i had the volume all the way up on the ps5 and the volume still sounded extremely low. And cant get the volume any higher. I need it to be alot louder and there is no scroll wheels to turn vol up or down on the a40s. Ohhh and the mic wont work. Totally pissed ab my purchase. Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

What does the button under the power button do
I just seen that headset last night and I had the previous Astro wired one and I loved it so I thought this summer and be nice but it doesn’t have Bluetooth or anything which is kind of a bummer with it being wireless

I have used the gen 1 a10s for about 4 going on 5 yrs now the wired ones and only just recently has the 3.5mm jack started to play up and make the mic sound funny I’ve heard my voice back when I listen to a replay of a livestream I was apart of and honest it’s super super clear in my opinion compared to these a20s and the only other problem I have had is the foam piece that’s on the top band of the headset has come off but honestly for me that’s no biggie bc I’m so focused on my game that I can’t even feel anything so if anything I would 100 percent buy rhe a10s again and I probably will to replace this pair if it keeps acting up bc I honestly can’t fault them it’s last 4 nearly 5 yrs it’s got great sound I can hear footsteps infront and behind me pretty clearly good directional sound aswell as general audio the mic is solid sounds great whenever I’ve heard it back and as stated the build is like a tank
