Danheim - Berserkir

2017 ж. 21 Қар.

Berserkir is a new song from Danheim.
Berserkers (or berserks / Berserkir ) were Norse warriors who are primarily reported in Icelandic literature to have fought in a trance-like fury.
These champions would often go into battle without mail-coats. Berserkers are attested to in numerous Old Norse sources.

  • "Berserkir" is a term which is mainly found in poems like Haraldskvæði or the Edda but it is not sure, that the term was really in common use by that time. It is rarely found in ancient battle reports. This berserker-like fightingstyle, however, was seen at many Germanic tribes. With "Furor Teutonicus" the Roman poet Marcus Annaeus Lucanus (d. AD 65) described the merciless, raging and reckless fury of the Teutones in combat: "In battle they cheered because they hoped to die a glorious exhilarating death." / "They assaulted with the velocity and violence of a firestorm: foolhardy and fearless with beastly voices and dreadful shouts."

    • Wallung It's much older than that. Ecstatic trance warriors stretch back to the inception of the migration period and likely before. Even the Indian Varyatas shared ecstatic trance warriors. The last culture to show the traits in abundance was the Scottish. It was part of their decline as ecstatic trance simply could not go toe to toe with full plate armor and advanced military tactics. Also of note are the numerous wolf cults, bear cults, and boar cults that existed across europe. The one most people recognize is ulfhednar, however the celts, greeks, and so on all had similar ecstatic trance warrior cults. There is reference of a Roman emperor using german berserks as bodyguards, and even on trajan's column there are numerous references to wolf warriors fighting alongside the emperor. History is fascinating, as is knowing our roots.

    • They wrote down a lot of things, Christians burned anything pagan and destroyed all pagan art, statues and sites. They even built Churches on top of our pagan sites to prevent us from digging them up and learning about what the world really looks like. The only reason the renaissance started is because some of these pagan sources still survived and came back into the world after Constantinople was conquered by the Turks. All this knowledge about the world didn't come from nowhere, science and art was written down in pagan books and then later revived.

She is the undefined lightnend shape which stays in the mid of everything from our solar system. The second cavemen turns around and takes another straight stick and told him that THIS lenght is exactly 1 Meter. How can they proof that the length from one of the sticks they holding is exactly 1 Meter? The Edda is bounded to antic mathematics & physics, because its one of the Sun Religions which was replaced by monotheistical Religions. Search the cycles & the spirals! • I remember reading about how crazy berserkers were, it wasn't a rank or something, but a type of behavior. They would be charging naked or covered in animal fur. Most of the times they lusted for battle so bad that they bit their shields, attacked trees, boulders and sometimes even killed each other before the battle.
