Funny thing, Bivol made a comment about that. He said ask anyone who sparred me, they all beat me in sparring. Benavidez said Bivol didn’t give him any issues in sparring, he was able to figure him out. Zurdo was begging for the Bivol fight after their sparring session. Before the Canelo fight, Abel Sanchez picked Canelo because Bivol sparred one of his fighters and didn’t give him any issues.

He could be the next great, or he could get smashed the moment he meets an elite fighter, just like Zurdo did. I might change my opinion based on how well he does against Plant, but as it stands, Bivol would absolutely toy with Benavidez.

Well bivol looks a lot taller than Canelo. If Canelo was quicker it would be closer... he bulks up and thinks a hard hook will always shock his opponent. Not at that size clearly. Bivol also has quick feet did not smother his work with Canelo which made his reach effective.
