Aloha Gert, dig your videos🤙. Wondering what benefits youve noticed to your diving and/or breatholds from ice baths? I started doing them for some back issues but just curious how it might translate to apnea..
i look at everything I do from a general holistic staindpoint. I never ask myself if what I'm doing is beneficial for breathholding. My focus is health and performance in general. And I advise everyone to adopt the same approach toward exercising. It's is only at elite level you can do freediving specific things, but for the other 99,9% mortals out there your focus shoukd be health in general. That being said, specific thoracic stretching is probably the thing that will help you the most in breathholding/freediving. Ice / warm (3x) can promote elasticity of blood vessels (vaso constriction / dilation) which also occurs when breathholding. If You wanna hold your breath longer, master your mind first. All the rest is less relevant.
👍😁❤
🙏🙏🙏
lmao what an ending
i dont wanna sound weird but do u guys know how old the woman is ? looks like she takes good care of herself very impressive. respect and nice video :)
The queen was 31 years of age
there you go. Joel knows! 🙏
So I'm assuming in a very cold water the human body makes more effort to keep the body warm and therefore you won't be able to hold your breath properly, right? I went last weekend for spearfishing and it was cold and my swimsuit was only 3.5mm. I couldn't hold my breath properly at all
correct. the moment you start getting cold, even if it's just a little bit, your breath hold time goes down
Hi Gert, what's the temperature of the water? Thank you
this one was actually not so cold. around 14°C I think
a what temperature the water was?
very cold 🥶🥶
why when i equalize only one ear pop?
your EQ technique is probably not on point. or your ear might be sticky (mucus). but still then with proper EQ technique you should be able to eq
