    • @@jethrohenderson2430 its a very small amount. Most of the good players are well under 6 foot, however here we can see that new strategies are being developed and its good to have some tall players on the teams.

  • Tall vs Tall was super fun to watch. I think Sean being the shorter tall, moves the quad smoother and uses more known strategy. Brian needs more time on the quad and come up with strat that works for him. I love watching both now! WCT needs an over 188cm category😅

    • Brian Prince, and almost all 6" WCT athletes, need to watch how Haroon plays. Instead of trying to match the smaller athletes' pace, Haroon uses smart positioning to herd the evader into an unfavorable spot where his long reach can easily lunge through the evader.

  • I always liked Tempest, but Brett Vance needs some training time on the quad. In all of the three championships he's been a weakness for them... he clearly brings either team cohesion or player understanding, but he needs a little more time on the quad to get those tags more often.

    @bentn13@bentn13 Жыл бұрын
    • The issue with team tempest is that they have a parkour gym, not a chase tag gym, and he's the head coach of a gym that teaches precision. Brett is about accuracy and not speed, which in a lot of situations is actually better than just speed, however with the league evolving a lot of the other players are getting better and learning new strategies. Brett trained parkour for most of his life, so he implements that into his game.

    • Same athletes but it turns out most PK moves like double kongs, under bars etc. Arent actually that effecient when you can either crawl under or stride over. Just the natural evolution of PK movement is this sport

      @WorldChaseTag@WorldChaseTag Жыл бұрын
    • It's just people learning the game and figuring out what works and what doesn't. It's slowly branching off from parkour to become it's own thing, which is pretty interesting.

    • The golden ratio we always try to achieve is a 30%~ evasion ratio most events are around 30-33%. This is enough evasion to keep the match exciting and when they do happen its a very special moment

      @WorldChaseTag@WorldChaseTag Жыл бұрын
    • @@WorldChaseTag Genuine thanks for replying. Fair play. Sometimes it can be excruciating when it feels like someone's pulled off about 4 great moves and still they're getting boxed into a corner in the 17th or 18th second, because it's easier to follow a route than to plan one. But then I guess it's like football; there should be more nearly moments and great build-up plays than goals. And similarly it's easier to run fast and close up gaps without the ball (defending) than with it. 30% sounds bang on right, as you say to make the accomplishment doable but still massively impactful when it happens.

      @luckyspurs@luckyspurs Жыл бұрын
    • @@luckyspurs A longer match means more endurance, and the difference 5 seconds makes on the quad is insane. It forces the players to have that much more training and skill and deepens the sport more.
