One idea that’d be cool to see in Little Nightmares would be a zoo. Like the different types of animals or monsters that’d exist in their world, and traversing through different enclosures would be awesome too!
Can you imagine how scary it would be to be hunted by a massive creature in this game? Not even a humanoid monster, like a full-on beast. That would be terrifying!

@@rayceo4477humanoid monsters are sort of...less intimidating For a humanoid monster, you'll know gists of what it can do because, well, it is humanoid and based on humans. Humans know what humans can do. Non humanoid however are more intimidating because humans doesn't know what Non humanoid things can do. Like the fear of the unknown. Well, actually they do, but non humanoid monsters are more of unknown than humanoid and human like monsters.
I am worried about 1 thing, the ai partner, cause if the game is largely done with 2 players the entire time, we enjoyed the ai in Little Nightmare 2 because it was done in short interactions, so they didn't have to do a ton, but in LN3 it could be that they are around for the entire game and could show a lot more issues... I really hope the company takes precautions and can make the characters respond well to changing circumstances.
There may be a possibility we can switch between them, but the inactive one will have some sort of ai interaction. Not the best, but it should have some interaction.

Idk why but the desert setting vibe gives me more adventure game vibes than horror. I feel like it could still scary, but just in a different way (post-apocolypse rather than weird creepy world with new rules and expectations)
in fairness the game was always considered a puzzle game first with horror elements

I'm fascinated by the use of oranges and browns in this game since they compliment the blues of the first two games. I wonder if that has narrative meaning to it. Hopefully it isn't foreshadowing the game but being as good as the first two, but I doubt the devs would intentionally do such a thing and then go hinting at it lol. Back on a positive note, the complimentary palettes probably have meaning, maybe suggesting stuff happening on the other side of the world or a foil to the first two games, maybe even suggesting a resolution to the time loop that Six and Mono are trapped in!

I know this is late, but each chapter seems to have their own unique colour pallets. The Necropolis is orange, the fun fair is blue, and the factory is green. This would help make each chapter feel unique from each other, which seems to be what the devs are going for. The spiral being a “cluster of disturbing places”, with each one having its own story to tell.
One thing I'm a little worried or curious about is the art direction. Tarsier had a specific style with artists and designers that lent alot to this setting. One of the biggest takeaways I had from the trailer and gameplay is that it's not particualrly scary (so far). It feels very much like a co-op, action adventure platformer game, reminding me of It Takes Two. They've already gone for "doll is scary" enemy which isn't really that scary comparing it to alot of the previous minor monsters like the blind janitor man or the viewers. Little Nightmares people have a particular kind of flabby, saggy, and twisted skin stretched sort of aesthetic with exaggerated proportions and I hope that isn't compromised on for more generic threats. The children in these games also tend to have a sort of dinginess and mottled appearance. The two leads this time appear much more well kempt and cartoonish.Though perhaps that will change at some point? I hope they at least have the old designers or artists at least giving input on creature and character designs. I also wonder how far Super Massive games is willing to go. Tarsier was a much smaller studio overall with a vision for the first two games that was willing to put in very contextually disturbing sections, such as the secret behind the food in the maw, the shoes section, viewers falling off of buildings, etc. With SuperMassive games being much more popular and known, I wonder if they would be willing to go as far Tarsier did on that much darker subject matter that is more on edge. Will they push things? I think Little Nightmares is just as much about the horror and dread on the small scale and the subtle things as it is about the things in the larger scale. So far from the - absolutley very little - we've seen, it feels somewhat superficially "horror". This trailer and the clips shown have an interesting focus on gameplay, scope, and spectacle, rather than the tone or innate scariness of the setting or the people, like previous trailers for the older games did. Another thing is how Little Nightmares took seemingly mundane industrial settings and turned them into warped versions. Generally there was nothing innately scary about the idea of the older games' settings, one being a boat restaurant and the other an urban metropolis. They took them though and twisted them into exaggerated versions with "consuming food" and "cosuming entertainment" as themes to play on. There is however a sort of culturally accepted creepyness to something like a circus. I'm hoping that it isn't a generic case of the creepy clowns and twisted laughing performers that are dime a dozen. What I mean is that the circus makes it almost too easy, lending half the "scaryness" just by being a circus. I hope they push it in a way only Little Nightmares could. Just some observations from very little given.
I can agree with this. I am super excited, but Tarsier studios as we know have a knack for creating the craziest, scariest, mind bending monsters and scenery that are genuinely terrifying *cue me screaming at my switch screen at the scary teacher with the long neck. I just hope this can be re created in this instalment.
I think little nightmares 3 will be a twisted exaggeration of entertainment and might be the origin of the crashed aricraft in very little nightmares
I'm wondering if they'd really triple dip into the prequel territoy. Not only was Very Little Nightmares a prequel, but so was Little Nightmares 2, I'd be genuinely suprised if 3 is the prequel to the prequel of a prequel.

Well it can be noted that this is only the demo we are seeing. And they could very well make it look even more creepy in the final product
The guys at Tarsier Studios had a gift. The people who are making this game don’t have that same artistic ability. I am sure they don’t. They’re going to give us something that RESEMBLES the first two games, and have some imagery that’s spooky…..but you cannot duplicate the atmosphere the original artists were able to manufacture from their unique minds.
I got excited after seeing the title of the video but then I decided not to give it high expectations. I think the biggest difference is the ambience. Someone else has said that the dessert lighting appears very warm compared to anything we've seen in the previous Little Nightmares. Little Nightmares 2 had some heartwarming scenes, and the lighting was still on the colder/lonelier side. It was always more depressing than optimistic. The light sources are well-placed too in that it's not too dark but still eerie. The other thing I noticed is when the giant baby monster leaves after checking for the protagonists, it doesn't feel as alive or convincing. It felt more mechanical and that gives the illusion of being predictable. Even his appearance looks more plastic-ish than the realistic, well-textured previous Little Nightmares monsters. But I could be wrong and I hope it goes beyond my expectations now that my bar is set low

The black smoke from the mirror is very similar to the black smoke effects that Six gave off at the end of Little Nightmares. Could it be that Six or her future self is the antagonist of this game? The mirror also reminds me of the Lady and we all know what happened to her. So I think that Six and The Lady could be tied into something big here.
That would be cool. I get why LN2 had to be a prequel if she’d be in it since she’d be way too OP with her powers, but as an antagonist that would be awesome. I love the fan theory she becomes the Lady in future.
But that was kind of the point of the first game, why do it again?

I only know about Little Nightmares because of CoryxKenshin and now I LOVE the game even though I barely played it. The thought behind it all is just “wow” to me and it inspired me a lot. I CAN NOT WAIT to pay however much it will cost

I really hope they figure out a way to connect the story tbh. That’s what I love most about the little nightmares games, the dark and eerie, creepily familiar settings and the way everything pieces together

From someone who has been waiting the 4th part of LN story (counting Very Little Nightmares) I want to know how LN3 is gonna be connected to the other 3 games (since we know that LN games tend to be connected with each other one way or another, in this case the ability of transporting via mirrors, since as Mike says we saw that ability with Mono on LN2 and the mirrors were essential for Six in LN1) Maybe The Maw, the Pale City and the Necropolis are all inside the Nowhere? Maybe The Lady, The Thin Man and the new boss monster are the ones in charge of ruling it? AHHHHH, Ican't wait for this new chapter to be launched

@Mytara100 I know dude, but think about it. The Nowhere contains The Spiral, which changes from a desert to a doctor's office and a carnival. I'm just saying that anything in the LN universe is possible. And the Maw was not the only one in the middle of the ocean, also The Nest from VLN. Also, I highlighted the SIMILARITY between the ability of Mono and the one from Low. That maybe Mono is not the only child who can use objects as portals
The official site says something like"as we already saw the protagonists are trying to escape from Nowhere". So i think it's pretty likely that both the Maw and the Pale City are part of the Nowhere.
I kind of hope very little nightmares will have something to do with this lore-wise

Sadly a different studio is making the new one. So i doupt its gonna be the same specialy in terms of lore and story telling.

i really hope there is a game where we get to see six and mono stop the cycle, and defeat the tower. i doubt that’s what this game will be about but it would be really cool. also seeing the origins of the tower and the eye theme. finding out how these characters are connected to six and mono would be super interesting. also learning who decided to create these creatures that were in 1 and two. we see the doctor is making the monster people, which includes the people on the ship. and why? why do they eat children? what happened to the city and why? why does the maw exist. we know the tower brings people’s worst fear to life, but why was this weird society created in the first place. my personal theory, is they are exploring the city BEFORE the tower arrived. (why we see the doctors office, but it is nice. why we see a carnival, and overall a nice place. also i wonder if we will ever learn about the hunters origin story.
That’s what I’m saying I mostly just want mono and six’s story to continue we know so little about the pale city and how mono will break the loop 😢

@@damoybrown1325 The loop is easy to brak, all Mono has to do is "keep the damn bag" on his head all the time. In that one fight he left it drifting away with the water and was running without it...Six recognized who Mono is and how it ended we all know. If he kept the bag, she would not see his face and that ending would not happen, loop broken.

Low (the boy) reminds me of Refugge boy from grapic novel Low Has very familler clothing to Refugge(especially the cape) and the crows (like you said) were releted to north wind and the Refugge story happend on something what look like a desert. Edit: Alone reminds me of spoon girls, becouse they both are girls, have ginger hair, ponytails and use a big objects to protect themselves (spoon girl use spoon and Alone have a wrench.)
I think that the Mirror Person from LN comics will be main antagonist of LN3, cuz even smoke above the mirror on the poster looks a lot like Mirror Person's head

now that would be both a twist and a way to find out when in the timeline is this game (which I'm pretty sure everyone on youtube will be trying to decipher). All we know about little nightmares 2 is that it's a loop that takes time before six getting the hunger and going to the maw, making it a prequel, also Very little nightmares is a prequel to both so... I guess we'll have to wait and see... At least there's no pandemic to delay release on this one hahaha

A bit of a wild theory but I think the creature with multiple arms is related to the janitor from little nightmares 1. If you look at one of the drawings of the children you can see them draw the janitor before he was blinded and one of them show the janitor with multiple arms.
I can't wait for it's release. Though I do hope we see a little cameo of Six and Mono to see how they're doing. Probably not too well but maybe they broke the time loop?
It seems that these guys are in a different dimension than six and mono if the loop hasent been broken there shouldn't be a cameo but if they have it would be a great cameo

@painfully_obvious. well unless someone broke them out of the time loop there probably still trapped in it well to be specific Mono is technically the only one trapped and maybe a version of Six but the original Six is still about as we saw from Little Nightmares 1 but I do like thinking by the time Section 9 game happens Mono, Six and everyone else already got there happy ending and we just skip it and now we’re back to horror and nightmares but this time in space? 🙃

So far from seeing the first trailer, I’ve made my own little theory that this is basically the same place as the city would be, but in a completely different universe… think about it, notice how we see some familiar elements from the second game but shown in a different style and way, like the way this game has a more yellow atmospheric tone, while the second game has a blue-ish tone… 3:56 or like how we will use mirrors to travel, when before it was TVs Mono used to travel… 4:34 or how the monster baby has a familiar type of eye that can turn people into stone… 6:39 even the garbage type waste land we see instantly reminded me of when Mono and Six see the signal tower and the buildings that lean towards it… all this makes me believe that this new game will technically be set in the same location as the city was, but in another universe… what do you all think of this? 🤷🏼♂

I'm glad to see co-op being added to this game because I was low-key hoping for co-op to be added to this game. And I almost thought that Alone was going to be Six wearing a different outfit, but I guess I was wrong to assume after getting a better look at Alone.

I actually really like the designs for Low and Alone. I'm surprised that so many people aren't into them.
Some people prefer simple and iconic design like six and mono. Alone and low didn't give the "simple" vibes
@@fandubindo1891Fair enough. Though I appreciate the designs on their own nonetheless. They certainly feel different than usual LN fare, but the somewhat different vibes and less simple designs is somewhat refreshing to me. Just my take though. Everybody has a right to their own opinion.

I really like Low and Alone’s designs. I don’t know which is which , but , I like how the boy is supposed to be a crow. I’ve seen people online wonder why the cape is there, but it’s probably trying to replicate a Crow’s tail feathers. The girl’s outfit is super cute too , and it seems like her “main color” is some kinda green .

These games hold such a special place in my heart. My son and I bonded greatly over the original and were both obsessed with everything LNs. So good to see more nightmares on the way. ❤

Absolutely love how a lot of the sceneries from the audio series are showing up in little nightmares 3, the carnival and then the gears (kinda reminds me of noone’s dream in the first episode) and the toy shop too! Can’t wait to see how the audio series fills in some blanks.
Might just be a coincidence but in the audio series, noone talks about how one of the shadow people/workers in the walls had a wrench, Alone also has a wrench. Just a minor detail I noticed

Now I finished the podcast and im excited I recognize the settings and details (you did a great job btw) We know the nightmares feed on children's traumas and twist "mundane" elements to understand the child's fear, but what about less "mundane" experiences? Natural disasters, wars.. Some of the new settings made me think about that, about those childhoods. I'm so curious and excited about how the game will go
I am looking forward to this massively. Never played them but love watching your gameplay videos on them. Also initial theory Alone is actually six and this is a pre-qual to the other 2 games. We are basically watching six fall to some dark power but played out backwards.

Knowing the original developer of LN was reacquired makes me very sad :( Tarsier accomplished so much. I loved LN1, but 2 was an absolute masterpiece. I'm looking forward to learning more about 3, but I'm still just a tiny bit sad.

4:25 “a doctors office” 5:32 * mentions the hospital * so here is my theory i guess: Low & Alone wake up in the hospital, leave the hospital & get to the ending of the pale city, where they pass close to the destroyed signal tower where they have now built an amusement park to cover it up.
I’m actually getting so much nostalgia rn I remember waiting for little nightmares 2 and watching all the theories on it I’m so happy they’re making another game :)

when i was playing little nightmares 1 and 2 i always thought how fun it would be if they made them co op. i had so much fun playing the first 2 games and i cant wait to play this one with friend. the game looks awesome
I just read a dev interview and here are some very important things I found. The online co op will be some sort of friend pass system, where only one person will need to own the game. It will NOT be cross platform. There are people on the ln3 team who worked on the previous two games. And most importantly, the game will take place in the same universe, so this is not a retcon or anything. I'm very glad about this because game universes being retconned has been a problem recently. (Particularly with Nintendo. I'm not too happy about zelda and pikmin being retconned)
Now I mean it's fun and all but.... We will have to wait UNTIL 2024!
Uh oh… I didn’t realize supermassive was the main company for until dawn, and the quarry, which I personally thought were pretty shallow generically scary games. (Until dawn was very good but it went really down hill from there.) the thing I really enjoy about the little nightmares series is the environments (dingy, urban, nightmares) and the creatures (elongated body horror) and personally… I don’t see either of those things in this trailer. While I’m aware that this game is still in production… to be honest I’m not the biggest fan of the character designs or the environment, as I feel a rural desert setting is a little out of character for this game. However I really love the little nightmares series, and I’m excited to see how it goes. I just hope it doesn’t downgrade into something really unoriginal and generic.
very informative. you have done a great job, as i both played part 1 and 2, and even though i am surprised that this part 3 is developed by new developer, looks like they have kept the original elements and gameplay.
Such a underated series. The story is short but that 1,2 or 3 hour game makes a crazy story. You don't need 18 hour's to make a game cool. You need just 1 or 2 main characters, 1 plot. Make it fell not creppy, but make people think that they are not safe
The new art direction seems don't have a vibe on first 2. The baby is like a generic horror baby.
I'm embarrassed to say I still haven't finished the first game, but this gives me motivation to devote some more time to it
@disaidra it’s fine but I do suggest when you get the chance to play Little Nightmares but start with Very Little Nightmares then Little Nightmares 2 then Little Nightmares 1 and then the Runaway Kid DLC for Little Nightmares 1 since that’s how it happens timeline wise? 🙃

Just found out that it is coming out. The feeling of utter surprise and questioning the ensues when you find out one of your favorites is getting a new game. I went on spotify and saw a new featured on ps thing which is the podcast. I was so confused and here i am
I'm really excited for this one I waited ages for 2 and 1 was my 2nd game ever. So the series it really special to me, also Six is completely out of the picture, which is quite sad. But it's a new chapter for all of us
Really wished it took place somewhere else. A desert doesn’t really seem that fun and exciting plus the other two games are in some sort of civilization with enemies were as this just seems like some puzzles in a desert and also how did we get from a boat to a city to a desert?
