We cover the history of the Districts from the first rebellion to the second rebellion, and the 76 years in between. (Like the first Hunger Games, to the 10th, 11th, 38th, 42nd, 49th, 50th, 65th, 70th, etc.) Through this, we learn about the industry of each District, and how they contribute to the over indulgent lifestyle in the Capitol. As well what role each district played in the rebellions. We reveal the fate of each of the Tributes and Victors who participated in every annual Hunger Games.

    • Hey there 👋🏾 I noticed 2 slightly incorrect things in this video 1. At 7:20 you meant to say 67th Hunger Games instead of 76th 2. At 8:45 you said Haymitch threw himself off the cliff, he actually didn't, he threw a large/medium sized rock off of it and it bounced backed to him. I'm only saying this because if he threw his entire body down the cliff he would have died on Impact because that's what happened to Blight in Catching Fire. I just thought I'd mention these 2 things.

    • @@thegirlwitheeyes1232 That doesn't change the trilogy plot though. Snow has no real reason to give them preferential or any different treatment when he becomes President. He had a connection with Lucy Gray, and I doubt he cared that much about District 12's citizens before or after she disappeared until Katniss came along who reminded him of Lucy Gray. He disliked Katniss because she had the same traits as Lucy Gray since, from a president standpoint, what she was doing would cause another war between the capitol and the districts. His main concern throughout the trilogy is that Katniss would disrupt the system and cause another rebellion.

  • I always interpreted behaviours like Enobaria killing another tribute with her teeth and Titus resorting to cannibalism in the arena as extreme acts of survival rather than evil, proving how dehumanising the games truly were for the tributes. But while Enobaria’s extreme methods were acclaimed by the Capitol citizens and the game makers because of shock value, Titus’ reminded them of a time when, starved and nearing death, capitol citizens themselves had resorted to cannibalism in order not to perish to hunger. It’s just an interpretation, but it really puts Titus’ character into perspective…

Katniss was told that cinna saved her from plastic surgery after she was taken from the arena. Enobaria just wasn’t as fortunate. Like finnik, she was brutalized. Unlike finnick, it seems she lacked a lifeline, or sense of hope, or community.

The cattail is considered to be one of the best, if not the best, survival plant. The cattail is not a swamp potato, the potato is a very poor excuse for a cattail. The name is actually significant. Katniss, named for a super survival plant, is a survivor. Some plants and their names carry a great deal of meaning.

  • Finnick has the saddest fate for me. Not only does he not survive, his romance back in 4 is in stark contrast to his public persona, which - just like Peeta's and Katniss' is an illusion he put on to survive. His false personality is that of an incurable flirt with many many sexual partners. Even Katniss believes this at first. In reality, this was entirely at the behest of Snow. Finnick's' "Victory Tours" involved being forced into sexual relationships with dozens of Capital residents who paid Snow handsomely for the pleasure, which happened multiple times every time he visited the capital. Although Finnick was able to use this to obtain blackmail material and secret information that was of use to the Rebellion, it was a horrible affair that started when he was still 14 in his state as *the youngest victor ever*. The most fucked up thing is that when he reads out his Poem to his "One true love", plenty of his *former rapists* genuinely and sincerely think he's talking about them. The creeps.

    @benlowe1701@benlowe17014 ай бұрын
    • That's so sad. Men can be r*-worded too. There really needs to be more people to know that anyone can be victims as well as perpetrators. We are all people capable of good and evil. We can be victims and abusers. Being a horrible person is a gender neutral thing because anyone can be one.

      @Shapoufiiie@Shapoufiiie2 ай бұрын
    • @@Shapoufiiie Youd be surprised how many places rigidly define rape as solely the Penial Penetration of a Vagina. In New York for example, a man or boy couldn't be found to have been raped at all. It's a distinction that has allowed a few absolute monsters to he 'Aquitted' of Rape and "Only" charged the supposedlu lesser crime of sexually assault. They carry the same maximum penalty, but there no shortage of psychos who will spin it as a victory. There was a high profile case recently where the judge cleared a man of the legal charge of rape, whilst acknowledging it wasn't slander to call him a rapist because the term 'Rapist' meant something different to the narrow definition the law had.

So you have a large group of people who are all a massive flight risk, sedating them with a highly addictive drug they can’t get anywhere else makes sense as a method to control them. Also I could imagine that D6 has their fair shares of work accidents on the tracks or in factories so that could also be a reason to that they have easy access to Morphling which is first and formost a painkiller.

The tributes. And you, too. How quickly civilization disappears. All your fine manners, education, family background, everything you pride yourself on, stripped away in the blink of an eye, revealing everything you actually are." Lamina didn't succumb to that during her games she didn't kill anyone and the only time she fought is to defend her self (THIS IS ALSO THE REASON WHY I DON'T THINK LAMINA PRETENDED TO BE "WEAK" SO PEOPLE DONT TARGET HER SHE DIDNT PRETEND TO BE WEAK LIKE JOHHANA)

  • The thing that's always annoyed me about this map is that it makes no sense. We KNOW roughly how many people live in each district, and we know the districs are small - I've always figured most are like cities, not states. Most district residents, especially in poorer districts like 12, walk, and Katniss walks through pretty much all of district 12 in a few hours. It also makes sense that the districts MUST be far away from one another, otherwise people who get away could easily travel to a different district, and we know from Catching Fire that it's dangerous and takes a long time, at least about an hour by hovercraft between 12 and 13, right? THIS is a key point in how the Capitol keeps its control, because there's no communication between districts. This means that the borders of each district are FAR from one another. A map of Panem would be more like isolated cities scattered throughout a map that looks like part of North America.

Also she never picked out berries that were good to eat, the bit in the training was supposed to show how shes good at pattern recognition. If you watch the clip again all thats shown are simple outlines of leaves and nuts, no mention of their safety. Then she figures out the the layout of the bombs because of her good memory.

  • I liked the songbirds & snakes book/movie. If they make any other Hunger Games books/movies, I am hoping they go back a little further in time & cover just how “The dark days” began. And cover some other things like, - Why did “the Capitol” move from DC to what is basically Denver? - Where did Florida go? I’m assuming it flooded, but was there perhaps some super weapon used to take it out? - What is the rest of the world doing while all this is going on? I’m assuming they were involved in the war, but are they all gone / or did they all emigrate to “Panem” because their lands were no longer habitable? Last, this is more me being confused but a clear explanation of the post modern history would be nice. From what I’ve gathered, there was a “Great War”, then after that, “Panem” was created with its 13 Districts. Then, after some unknown time, District 13 tried a rebellion (The Dark Days) that failed, and it was after that failed rebellion then the Hunger Games were created? I am not sure that is correct but a book/story about the time prior to The Hunger Games I think would be really interesting. Thanks for this overview content!!
