  • Honestly, this should be an anthem for all young women (and men). When someone breaks your heart, call some friends (heck, call me) and dance up and down the streets singing this song! Love the message. Miley did a great job. This is Gloria Gaynor's "I will survive" for this generation.

    • It's not a young women's anthem it's your mother's anthem. Miley did a great job, she gave us something to be proud of as a woman. We can take care of who we are and feel good about it. Don't think that anyone but yourself will care about you. It takes a life time to understand that. Miley thanks for reminding use that we can always be the best for ourselves. Miley, tell your mother I'm so proud of the wonderful young lady she raised.

    • Sure, she is a very talented singer, but I think what makes this look and feel like a performance on a grand stage is the production around her. The band, the mixing, the lighting, the camera work... The budget for this performance must've been pretty large just to make it seem close, intimate and small scale.

Also another note this song is not just for woman it's universal, which is something more artists should aim for, sure the lyrics are feminine, (due to the personal reason for the song) but the overall message isn't, you can do anything you want by yourself you don't need others to give it to you.
