I was Wing Foiling the Axis 1099 at Mavericks, CA this spring. Now I find it very effective for 2 to 3 foot US East Coast surf taking off on non-breaking waves. A shorter 68 cm mast reduced stability in Roll, Yaw and ultimately Pitch axis which was key to better pumping than my 90 cm mast I had been using on the West Coast.
