Buy Spot Weld Kit Here: www.eastwood.com/mig-spot-wel...
Details
Now you can "spot weld" with your MIG welder...just add this Spot Welding Kit to your tool box!
Duplicate full-penetration OE spot welds from one side with your existing MIG welder
No need to buy a resistant spot welder (about $250!) or fool with carbon arc rods
Spot Weld Pliers has forked jaws to secure the spot nozzle, offering full penetration on the back side of the weld
Spot Weld Nozzle has "leg extensions" to create the exact standoff distance required for spot welding of 20- and 18-gauge metals
Use your MIG welder together with our Spot Welding Kit to produce professional spot welds without the need for a large resistance welder.
In this live video Randy & Cody go over rust solutions and products to help you get any project started. They will show you how to remove rust, how to keep it away and what to use for primer and painting solutions!
Giveaway will end on July 21, 2016. Visit our Eastwood Facebook page to SHARE & LIKE this video to be entered for a chance to win!

  • Matt, I think you do a great job with these videos. Thank you and Eastwood for sharing this information. I picked up some great tips on your welder settings. Knowing the recommended settings and seeing how you altered that and how far off you ended up helped me understand that I need to not be afraid to get that far away from the recommended settings. Many thanks!

  • Got a great deal on the Eastwood MIG 135 should be here on Saturday. I have to replace the inner roof panel on my 68 Chevy C20. The windshield seal has been leaking for years before I bought it and the rust is terrible Someone filled it with bondo from the L visor mount to R visor mount and the mirror mounts are gone. bought a OER replacement patch panel. So I have to spot weld from the vert position in a horizontal direction. This video has helped me plan for this project.

    • Well, we sell a 40ft one, so I'd say that's a good place to start. Ultimately, if you find you're not able to penetrate your weld pieces with the same settings as when directly plugged into an outlet (or at all even when compensating), you'll have to adjust accordingly. One of those things you'll discover with more experience.

  • 1970 Boss Mustang , while mig welding I keep getting burn back into my welding tip. Amps seem ok and the Argon mix is at 15psi. What could I be doing wrong. Thanks.

    @almierz4604@almierz46044 жыл бұрын
    • Burn back is very common. It results when a weld forms in the contact tip. It usually occurs when the wire is fed too slowly or the MIG gun is held too close to the base metal. To correct burn back, increase the wire feed speed and lengthen the distance of the MIG gun from the workpiece.

  • if your restoring a expensive car just buy a spot welder, a diy spot welder cost around 500 bucks and will weld up to 2+2mm, comon car uses 1mm or 1.2mm metal sheet, so you're good with a diy spot welder, much better than plug weld with a mig.

  • Maybe its just that this video is 7 years old, but like c'mon - who does spot welds flat on the welding table, that allows massive heat shrink away from sheet metal, allowing you to use higher amps to weld. Try these settings done on the weld table with the sheets in the air and you will just blow holes. I get any experienced welder will know this, but when a video is titled "how to" its assumed this is a tutorial for beginners who don't know, and not even a mention about this nuisance from the professionals here..
