@Taldish Thank you! I appreciate it!
I wish he lives in my city bc I’ve been to many mechanics just change new parts without diagnosing the problem and wasted my money. Thank u for educating us!

Great explanation on the evap system. I have an evap vent control system circuit code. Shop replace the vent solenoid, and the code is still there. I'm guessing I have a wiring issue somewhere.
@lonewolf744 Thanks! Yes you might have a wiring problem!
Thank you it was easy to understand
@TimothyKrissilas My Pleasure!
You did your best job But why the engine control unit not show code of fuel tank pressure sensor fault Thanks bro
@abbasmuhsen2715 My Pleasure! That's a good question, I also wondered why the PCM didn't set a fuel tank pressure sensor fault code, but I think it's a computer logic issue! I'm not really sure though!
Good and best video Brother
@chankokhoi4496 Thank you Brother!
At the beginning , I hope you are fine and you are better now , secondly I enjoyed watching your informative videos , thank you very much my friend , it is appreciated as usual , thanks Deo.

@charlyreyesolivares197 Hello my Friend I'm doing better! how are you?
Thank you friend.😅
@benjamintorres6177 My Pleasure!
You mentioned a circuit problem which can be technically correct, not so much a wire problem as a component electrical failure, my GMC Library shows a clogged Vent Filter and a Fuel Tank Pressure (FTP) Sensor for this code. I hope yours is different so I can add another repair to my Library, still watching......Well, no luck today. I wish you would have at least retested the sensor signal pin to verify a voltage change and the correct voltage that should come from the FTP at static atmosphere pressure, the bad sensor showed 0.25V if I am correct. If you perform a test procedure on a bad part, please follow up with the same test procedure on the NEW part as well so we all know what a good test looks like on a good part. We also do not want to waste our time to bolt up the fuel tank in this case just to read the scan tool and notice a problem with the new part, now we need to drop the tank again, order another new part, etc, & do the proper test procedure again before bolting up the tank, YES, PLS. Many of us simply don't fully trust the scan tool so we like to back up our testing with direct voltage testing at the sensor which you did half of the procedure. Thank you for all the videos that you produce, very much appreciated. SMA listed it as a GMC and Chevy, its been highlighted in my library to move it to Chevy only, your video will go in GMC LOL, kzhead.info/sun/Z7qao7eLkHSXn2w/bejne.html
@DuaneDonaldson Good point but for me the voltage change on the scan tool's Fuel Tank Pressure sensor Data Pid after replacing the sensor was enough evidence that the problem was fix, the voltage went from 0.2v to 1.5v I believe!
OK Brother, but I would verify the scan data before bolting up the fuel tank, love your stuff. But for training, I would measure volts since we all know scan tools are not 100% trustable. I just watched a video today, APPS scan data 0V, scope at ECM proper volt sweep, car drives ok, BAD ECM not calculating APPS data to the scanner so ECM logic also not fully trustworthy, no worries mate.@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair
Great info Thanks Bro 👍🏽#GetWellSoon
@fireboy5043 Thank you!
Well I replace the purge valve and the vent valve, but didn't do the fuel tank pressure sensor, that might be my problem. I dont have obd scanner, just have a cheap scanner that gives codes only. Well guess what I'm doing buying the pressure sensor for fuel tank. Hopefully my check engine light goes away. Thanks for the break downs.
@biggabe4904 My Pleasure!
Very thorough test. Nice job! I have a 2002 chevy silverado and have had p0446 on my truck for a long time, could very well be the same problem. Thanks.
@andydugan1911 Probably! Thanks
Great repair video thank you I have question Would you recommend autel scanner elite pro || I’m trying buy one Thank you 🙏🏾
@user-mo8gt3uv4o My Pleasure! Autel makes great scan tools, but before I give you a good advice on what scan tool to buy, I would like to know what type of vehicles you are gonna be servicing!!
I understand everything you were saying. But I need to understand if I don't have the scan computer that you have. But I do have a FIXD SCANNER which told me that the code P0446 indeed is the code. Soooooooo what I'm asking is can I just change the part since it's telling me that it's one are the other, most likely it's the one by the fuel tank. Only because I don't have all the tools you have. ( So can I just change the part myself ) Thank for giving us understanding to this.
@travisdeal7485 you should have it checked because the issue could be the sensor wiring!
Hi I’m so happy for u’re explanation but I have same yellow light stay on. I have Mercedes Benz E 350 4 Matic 2011. Where’s your location I can bring to you. Thank you
@chrispinnyala1796 My Pleasure! our shop is located in Dickerson MD! you can email me at kitsautoandtruckrepair@gmail.com for shop info and address!
Hello Deo, I learned a lot from watching your video! I’m researching how to fix my P0446. On my initial scan of my vehicle it said it has “excess vacuum” and well it tends to spit gas back out when fueling. Would that be because the vent valve is bad? Would maybe need replacing? Would love to hear your opinion
@alejthagreat Yes! your vent solenoid might be clogged, you should test it and see if it's working properly!
@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_RepairThank you!
hello my friend,,
@buboybebing3716 Hello my Friend, how are you?
👍👍👍 in this case did the custmer complaind the smil of fuel inside the cabin or around the car?
@mohdali-sc8wr No!!
Hello I have a 2005 Chevy Tahoe 5.3 and it won’t crank from key but I can crank it with a wire rand from the stater relay to the battery could u help with some information on how to get it to crank with key
@freds5109 you mightt have a starter relay issue or a ignition switch issue, I recommend you take it to a Pro mechanic who can diagnose it for you!
mine is building up a lot of pressure in the gas tank with this code. would it be charcoal canister? if replaced every other part you have tested.
@GRS-gd3ig if the pressure in the tank is too high, you might have a stuck closed vent solenoid!!
May God help me to understand scarn tools very well 🙏🙏🙏😢🙏
@user-dw7jv9zi1d keep working, you will master it!
@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair please sir how can I get a very good scan tool like your own am in Nigeria
So if at all uou changed the Evap sensor it wouldn't have work out so now the problem is that the fuel pressure sensor that got spoiled triggered the evap code on
@user-dw7jv9zi1d Sorry! I didn't understand your question!
What kind of scanner, do you use?
@humbertoarellano8887 in this video I used my snapon zeus scanner!
I got same truck with p0420.... Then it threw at p0300... I hope my cat is just clogged and caused the 300 code
@Mikey-wf9py it could be!
As you know the vehicle will not run the test with the fuel level in between half an empty.
@PaulCTownsend Yes That's right!
Hi Sir. I have emailed you regarding my Freightliner Sprinter 2500. I hope you will be able to respond to me after reading it. Thanks in advance.
