An Easter egg in Undertale Yellow! Amazing, this feels like a 5th ending and it really ties well with the lore, especially after the neutral ending. And it's really cool since Undertale has something similar where Toriel calls you if you wait, while in this one she tells you to wait and you go up the rope GOD SO AMAZING I LOVE THIS FANGAME.

Imagine what happens when we don't wait and just leave the ruins while Toriel comes to that hole with rope and... finds nobody. She lost 5 kids, now 6th kid disappeared in the hole while doing her puzzles, and now is lost below Ruins. And its canon in Undertale Yellow, without doing so Flowey just resets. That WONDERFULLY explains why Toriel tries to keep Frisk in Ruins so much...

This arguably is also why certain characters just don't appear in Yellow. Flowey is ensuring you don't get near them.

That, and the timeline is messed up. Going by Undertale's timeline, Flowey, Undyne, Alphys, and Mettaton shouldn't even be in this game, none of them were created/born yet.
This proves that Toriel cares for the children, it's just because of the children's recklessness
Sometimes it just isnt the children, like, the only reason Clover hasnt stayed with Toriel, was because Flowey resetted and sabotaged the lever!
Doesn't change the fact that instead of being a queen like she's supposed to be, she ran away from her responsibilities adhering to a sense of 'moral integrity', abandoning all of her people, leaving her HUSBAND to be sad and depressed instead of cooling him off and convincing him to find another way. Toriel was anything but a caring person to her husband and her subjects. But even still in the end she chooses to blame everyone else but herself for her mistakes. (don't get me wrong this is exactly why I love toriel, she's such a uniquely flawed character because her caring personality is her flaw. she upholds human life so greatly to the point that she blatantly ignored the suffering monsters went through at the hands of the humans, be it during the war or during their time underground.)

The reset is terrifying, it shows how much control he has. Flowey is my favorite character and always will be so little details like this and for them to be in character is so cool, undertale fangames either never use flowey or make him nicer, which nice flowey is cute but true to form flowey is the best

I remember doing this. I thought at first "the game reset itself to prevent you from playing Undertale", but then I had a suspicion after meeting Flowey that he must have done it after he offered to save. I was still shocked by the infodump in the neutral ending because I didn't realize Clover failed normal Undertale and that's why you had to "go on the weird route" to Asgore. Looking back on it, I wish that there was no infodump because that just kind of ruins the discovery aspect of it, but maybe it was for people who didn't play Undertale.
Why is it ruined? It perfectly shows why Clover took another route in the first place, They're to week to survive normal UT. If you look at the enemy stats, all of uty enemies are WAY weaker than the enemies in Undertale by comparation, Undyne the Undying is Stronger than Zenith Martlet, in fact base Undyne is almost the same stats as Zenith Martlet.
I caught this easter egg the first time I played the full game, because when I went to play my mother called me to go to the market, so the game was open I also ended up Ending the neutral route yesterday at 2 am and This makes only a lot of sense now DONT TRUST FLOWERY, NEVER

Like, it doesn't make sense flowey saving the game for us since theoratically, his determination came from the humans souls. And besides that half of the endings are just "what ifs" that doesn't make sense to the original undertale.

@@daboss4318 Yeah, he's just like the player, because Alphys injected the dertemination of the HUMAN SOULS in him, so if the determination came from the humans, they would probably have been able to save, load and reset too. Hell, we don't even know if flowey even existed before all the humans already fell in the underground, it's most likely that judging by the screens on the true lab, he awakened by the same time as Alphys created the amalgamates, wich doesn't seem to be so long ago.

I actually found this out by complete accident. I completed the pacifist route and went to do a neutral run (which I decided to gove up and do genocice instead). I fell down and I wasn't feeling too good so I went to get a drink and rest my eyes for a little. Went back to my game and Toriel was there. I was literally so confused I was like "Is this what happens if I complete the game or something...? Do I get this secret??" Nah turns out to be an easter egg.

I just got around to playing Undertale Yellow, and since I have WAY too much patience I waited. Bit disappointed my first run of the game got deleted but looking to see how this all comes together in the end. I've studied Undertale to an absurd depth for someone who has never played it, and I've heard Undertale Yellow is basically just as good. Hope studying from within the game is just as interesting as from outside it.

I found this secret on accident on my first playthrough because I was afk at the beginning of the other ruins
I accidentally found this on my first run because I was trying to figure out to put the game in full screen because my f4 key has a bind allready on my laptop. I eventually found out it was as simple and holding cntrl at the same time but I spent so long searching for stuff that by the time I was done I found this.
Holy hell, that's really well-made fan game. So it has minimun 5 endings! By the way, Team Cosmos: Outertale also has such option, when you have to wait Toriel. So you could have mentioned it.

I love and hate the pacifist route, it's the best way to avoid Flowey's egocentric without feeling like you don't have absolute control of the save's or checkpoints, and the ending in some way of course... even if it's a sad ending, Flowey will still have that power until Frisk arrives, which is why I feel like Undertale is a lot happier than Yellow in general, But, im saying that's no reason to feel Undertale Yellow is bad, the opposite of all that, it's much better than Undertale in too many ways, and I love it
