  • Best explanation of comedy I've heard is it's about finding connections and revealing hidden truths between two seemingly unrelated subjects. What makes you laugh is when the comedian reveals the connection and you realize "goddamit, that's so TRUE!"

  • My best joke was when I took some friends to a CiCi's Pizza. One of my friends was saying grace/praying as I sat down, and I just grumbled "This sodas flatter than a masochist's balls." She hit me and broke off her silent prayer laughing with my other friends. I will always remember being able to make them laugh like that.

  • I would love to see a series by you about comedy writing!! This video was awesome! I've watched a lot of stand up comedy, and I had been making my own mental notes about what made things funny.   • Fabulous! And it's so serious because at the end of the day comedy is a serious business which must be taken seriously in order for it to be effective. This is such a helpful video that I have bookmarked it and intend to watch it too or three times in succession so that I can be certain that I have really interiorized the points that I most needed to hear regarding delivery. I do not ever want to catch myself worrying about how a joke is landing while I am in the midst of delivering it.
