BRCA Mid West Regional Round 1 28/4/24 4wd D Final ** 1st RACE AT THE POTTERIES BRAND NEW TRACK **

So, a brand new track, never been raced on before!! No one new what to expect so it was all a level playing field. The weather had been wet through the nigh but dryed up intime to pitch the tent and turned into a lovely warm sunny day.
The track itself was very wet to start, and only dried in places and stayed sodden in other. Its was all the talk of the day, what tyres to run, is it time for yellows. I felt it was too dry for silvers and too wet for yellows.
The track used LiveRC as the timing system which I wasnt familier with, and being the first day there was some teething issues with volumes but that was sorted.
However, they did announce 15 seconds before we started that there was no countdown, just a tone to start. This was never confirmed and it was a chatic start. I went, no one else did, I swerved and caused chaos behind me. A poor start.
Consistency got me up to 5th at one point but then I saw Mike and the others catching me and my legs wobbled. Had a tangle with Mike which let a few past and that was it, back down to 8th.
Tough race.
