In today’s video, I decided to make a video of the x6. It’s 5 things I hate and 5 things I love about it after being with it for four years. Watch the video to find out what my initial thoughts and what I have to say about the car and what could’ve been improved.

It's the H&R springs. I have the same issue with mine. Will potentially go with coilovers in the future.

Man . Love this generation . Stiff suspensión you can feel the road . Tight steering wheel . I had a x6 50i couple years ago , I sold it two years ago . I miss it so much , I love it way better than new one especial steering. I think I will get another one , that’s true 5.0i burns lots of oil ,even my wife was scared what’s wrong with this car , she stopped driving the car .
Agree. I like E71 and G06, F16 should be discarded
Here in the uk the 50i is very rare….I’m trying to get an x6 m50d at the minute,after having 335d f30 and hating pretty much every minute I spent in the car I want something big comfy and something I can tune and have fun with

Hey I have the same x6 my remote doesn't work and I was research it seen it's pose to be a fuse I just don't know which number and is it located in the passages side or in the trunk I change the battery in the remote already
Being a 6’3” 2014 E71 50i owner myself, I agree with everything except the ride quality (mine rides like a GT car). Insofar as turbo lag, I just put it in Sport Mode and throttle response is instant. No lag. Special instructions for the muffler delete I should know? Does it throw a code because of a lack of back pressure?
You don’t need to do anything just chop that shit off

My dad taught me to never turn the steering wheel while stationary, it helps with that particular steering harshness issue.

I got my cluster done by clustersandcodings. I got the Avin head unit. And then I painted them all black I didn’t wrap them

I really want one but the BMW V8s are such crap I dont know do I want to deal with those... Also I think your car doesnt have the active steering does it? Thats supposed to make the steering wayy lighter on slow speeds and heavier on high speeds.

Regarding the steering wheel. Did u check that ur Sport mode is inactive. If that button is activated, thr steering gets more heavy.
It’s not like newer bmws where the steering wheels get harder. It’s hydraulic steering I don’t know why it’s always heavy

Turbo lag- when you push the gas pedal all the way down then look at the car next to you and still see it there. Then whiplash followed by a slight feeling of stupidity.

I painted the rounded gloss black and put light smoke tint over it
@@DashAutowerks I keep coming back to this video trying to make mine look as similar to yours as I can get. I purchased a aftermarket diffuser front and back Would you a recommendation for a sealant I should use? It says that’s all that’s needed to instal it
@@thepettingbudcawd9213 it depends how the diffuser sits if it just clips in you really don’t need anything. But to put the front lip on double sided tape and some self tapping screws
Hello, very good video and explanation for bmw. I planned to buy the same one (2008) with 200900 km, the chain was replaced at 139 000 km and I can see the exhaust is partly black. The seller in the car house says that the car is good and no mistake but I'm a little suspicious.
My exhaust is filthy too man, that’s nothing too worry about , just check the maintenance, ask how frequently he changed the oil, and should be a solid car

@@Dime.Society I was planning to chip at 370 hp and replace the display for Android multimedia. Unfortunately, I had to repair the oil leak by replacing the gasket on the valves, map sensor and some other little things.

If youre looking for a family car, realibility, and great offroad peformance, dont go for it, but if you dont want that, you will fall in love with the car.

How did you get BMW to fix your oil burning issue for free ?
They had a lawsuit but they stopped it September 2019
2012 x6 50i just ran into $14,000 in repairs at 55k miles, belts, coolant lines, transfer case.. all blew, got bailed out by the dealership and worked me into a deal for a 2020 m235xi
That sucks man. At least you were able to work it out with them and get u back in another bmw

I have gle 43 , I don’t like it my wife drive it . X6 is the best driving machine trust me .
My sister also has a gle 43 and I would take the x6 over it anyday
