I worked for rockwell during the b1b production . Saw them fly almost everyday for a couple years. Everytime a b1 passed final inspection. The airforce pilots would do a flyby. Most the time it was .85 @ 300ft off the deck . But every once in awhile they gave us a real treat. 100ft off the deck .95 and a pretty roll as they pulled up and flew off .

My father was a flight instructor USAF, TX in the mid 50s. Late in life I asked him the different planes he flew as we were on the way to his chemo appointment, he named so many that there was no way I could remember them all. We also spent 4 years in Hann AF base in Germany. When he got out of the military, he flew private corporate jets (Sabreliner). At his memorial service on the video at the end we played a Sabreliner taking off with that distinct sound, and the caption said Last flight and his name.

Back in the 80’s I used to camp out in the Mojave desert with friends. We heard a rumbling noise, and turned around to see one of these coming full speed, wings back, hauling a$$ at about 100 feet above the deck. I never worried about nuclear war after seeing what that plane was doing, since if they ever tapped that plane for a delivery, someone would be kneecapped permanently. Remember being stationed in RAF Fairford from May 2007 to May 2009. We saw B-1s visit alongside the U-2 Dragonladys. It was one of my best assignments. The good thing about Fairford in the old days, the place was silent as no permament assigned aircraft but when a plane comes in you get everybody outside the wire in admiration that a plane is coming into the base. I miss it. Was part of the 420th LRS at the time. We did have the B-2s come but not very often you saw. During the International Air Tattoo it was a great time. The base and the region turn into a big city for a whole week. It was great meeting our allied partners as we greeted and respectively argue whose pilots and planes are better to include the Royal Air Force hosts as we was on their turf. Seen the Queen only once when she made her appearance for the 90th anniversary of the RAF but it was always rainy and some days the weather was great. Miss it a lot

Anecdote: Back around 1998 my girlfriend and I were laying, butt naked, on the carpet in front of the fireplace late at night in my house in Macon GA. Suddenly an enourmous racket shook the house, stunned we ran to the back deck to look at the night sky and we saw the low clowds tinted in an orange and red color. I recongnised the noise, a B-1 playing a trick on the sleeping town... then we realised we were naked, outside in about 40°F...

B-21 Raider. And what we have in space! And our communications jamming and abilities, including E.M.P. survivability! You have NO idea. 👻☠️🗽💯🙏
Stunning video!
best B1 take off video i have ever seen! and i see this stuff a lot. lol awesome video. those afterburners! omg
Remember watching one of these monsters at RIAT 2000. The gates of hell opened up, the noise is insane! Was in awe and fear at the same time. An experience I'll never forget
The most badass warplane! 🦾🦾🦾
Excellent video. 30 years working in and around the BONE. I miss it. Thanks.
Then you know all too well what a nightmare the B-1 is to maintain.
That's awesome. I saw B-1B do that back in the 90's . BUT I had the pleasure of growing up near a SAC BOMBER BASE and until you've seen a flight of B-52's on a Red Alert Scramble fly directly over your house YOU AIN'T SEEN NOTHIN !!
Such a beautiful bird. :)
Always loved seeing this up close and personal during deployments! Video is awesome, but feeling in person is crazy
Absolutely brilliant!
Dyes AFB in Abilene Texas. As a Canadian, I spent lots of time there in the 90's, working on the C130's power plants. The B1's are incredible aircraft.
Great video!
Thank you for capturing this beautiful bird taking off 🫡
Whaooo impressive the afterburners and electric tailplane commands. It reminds me the Concorde take offs at heathrow. Unforgettable
Beautiful aircraft! ❤❤
What a beautiful beast. I’ve always loved that plane. This never gets old - Thank you so much for posting. 🇺🇸🇬🇧🇬🇧🇺🇸
Such a beast of an aircraft. Love it.
Freaking awesome video. Thanks for posting!
That was just pure showing off. Loved it.
Wow! Even with the wings fully extended with those huge flaps, slats and the four afterburners--it still takes a lot of runway to get these birds into the air.
don't know the nature of this mission but probably they both were at full load (fuel and weapons).
Amazing footage! Gutted I couldn’t get up there in time. Hope they do a couple more dusk/dawn departures
Absolutely beautiful!
Good capture and video. She's a Beaut Clark! 🎄
Even louder than Toby Keith! My name is Bicycle Bob and I approved this message and was working as a stagehand at the Buffalo Chip during the rally and we've had many flyovers from Ellsworth AFB, even during Toby.
Such a gorgeous plane, as a kid to this day I've always thought it was the coolest looking machine.
Praise to everyone involved in creating and maintaining that aircraft!
AWESOME! LOVE IT!❤❤❤❤❤
Sounds like freedom to me!!! GO 🇺🇸
Beautiful!
What an absolute beast, great footage!
Thats a beautiful sight and sound. Great video BL.
This is amazing! The B-1 is one of my favorites.
my dad had a love for this aircraft. I see why. such an elegant plane and despite being quite large can still go faster than the speed of sound. a marvel of engineering.
I had thought they made it subsonic for SALT treatys and savings.. It is supersonic ? 👍 If not,. Can it be upgraded (easily? or relatively so?) .. thx
@@alfrede.newman6626 apparently it can only go supersonic in short bursts at high altitude
Thing of beauty 😍
Gotta love the "Bone"
Fire breathing monsters! Love it!
SAC 1984-1993 veteran here!
Amazing aircraft and you captured it pretty nice!👍👍
The most visually amazing jet ever created.
IDK.... The B-2 or F-22 might take the cake on that.
@@coryboy345I’d add the Blackbird in there too.
@@screennamenottaken2 I would have if it had the technology of either of those 2. Blackbird was fast and looked cool, but it was a mess that leaked fuel and cost a ton of money, and had problems.
Beautiful aircraft 😊
Fantastic design and powerful aircraft.Wish a country has one such.
That'll never get old🔥🔥🔥🔥
Anecdote: Back around 1998 my girlfriend and I were laying, butt naked, on the carpet in front of the fireplace late at night in my house in Macon GA.
Worked in the plant that built the wings for the B-1B…love to see it fly
Holy cats!❤
