    • You should watch the Swiss Air A340 where they lose an engine on the way to China (I think). have to shut it down, divert, all the crazy stuff. Pilots break for chocolate and coffee.

    • @@GhostHostMemories There was an ATC recording of a Lufthansa A340 flight coming in for landing at JFK I believe reporting an engine malfunction. So the ATC asks would they like to declare an emergency and they said no, just reporting an engine out. I mean they still had 3 good engines.

    • Try flying a paramotor (which is basically a powered kite) in anything other than smooth air. Then you will truly know what turbulence is. It's a 3 dimentional air disturbance. Up, down, left, right, forwards and backwards lol.

    • aparently early models of the Airbus A350-941 (that did not get updated by the owning airlines and are still in use) have to be rebooted completly every 149 hours due to a software bug… Edit: I corrected some stuff

  • EasyJet should be very grateful to have an employee as dedicated to the cause as Emma. Talking to the passengers face-to-face during those delays and allowing photo-ops to pass the time - very tactfully handled. She could have just as easily kept herself locked up in the cockpit through most of that but went out of her way to make sure that her passengers were taken care of.

  • In Episode 2, Emma gets delayed yet again when it becomes apparent that the wings are not affixed to the aircraft, 10 minutes before takeoff. Seriously good on her for taking all these shortcomings in stride, I don't know that I'd of handled it with such grace. Don't know why this randomly showed up on my recommended list but I watched the entire thing and want to watch more now.

  • I have flown with easyJet many times. A brilliant company. Fantastic cabin crew who work their arses off. I can't praise them enough. And the pilots, brilliant. I realise now, too late, I am 70, that training to become a pilot was the career that I wanted. So sad that many in the aviation industry have lost their jobs due to this damned pandemic.

  • EasyJet has had a bad press over the years, something I think that helped create this rep was the TV series centralising on disgruntled passengers. I am disabled and flew via EasyJet to Rome, and the care and service given to me were outstanding. I would fly EasyJet anywhere anytime confident I will be taken care of. I must admit I have a vested interest as my late partner's son is a first officer with the airline.
