+Argo Saputro Who do you think click the thumbs down button?
how do u bend the paper clip .into an S u didnt show that past that good.
lol
these people are really innovative when it comes to catching their food
hahahaha!
Korean never eat rat. Rather we make mustant coat with it.
i love this comment!!!
Mice now for dinner
ahahahahahha that was hilarious xD
Some close up video of how the bait hook is made and installed would be helpful.
thanks Imaginative Guy!! I have trapped 9 mice in a week!! now my house it seems to be out of mice, I'd just used 2 bottles, the first one got broken after 5 mice trapped. Very simple very cheap very awesome
wow~~ 9 mice !! Congratulations,
+Roderick Fernandez What food did you use as a bait ? Meat ?
+Jason Ottavi cheese !
Ok, classic !
I only use one piece of bread on every reload!
So many comments about how this trap has "flaws". It is a simple trap. It is simular to a box trap, but made from everyday household items. You could "rodent proof" it, but then it wouldn't be what it is, simple ! You could line it with wire screen,The sticks could be glued onto the outside of the bottle, you could make it battery powered, you could make it launch the mouse into space, you could go and buy a mouse trap or you could just appreciate this for what it is. A neat and cheap way to catch a mouse !
day 5: i got trapped in the bottle
Smegma and cheese
why don't you eat your way out like other mice?
민박선 day XX: I became a bottle.
다른날 쥐를 변하다
일년마다 난 감자다.
Simple, effective, and cheap. Many thanks.
The mouse was paid off to act like the trap worked. F A K E.
you are just a mouseketeer, you love them!! MICKEY MOUSE , YOU DIRTY RAT!! GOOD BY!!!
XD
How the fuck did I get here from a video about a guy throwing a propane tank into a volcano?
Thank u for the video suggestion
***** Throwing water into the volcano was more impressive.
+Girom Christian Calica Beats me. I was looking for a video about Jimmy Carter, and ended up here.
+Valerie Perez You're right about that! :)
+Girom Christian Calica The question is, how do I get from here to a video about a guy throwing a propane tank into a volcano???
I'm saving this knowledge for post-apocalyptic life.
Not a great idea. Considering the parasites and diseases that are in rats and mice, I'll take my chances with starvation.
jcodym13 we will talk once you are starving.
RsVoods Which won't be long. LOL.
CIV EDM wut
rob b What makes you think I'm a prepper? And why would a prepper be a human-hater? Paranoid, sure, but human-hater? They look out for themselves, is all. By your logic, everyone who uses their seat-belts hate humans, as do everyone wearing helmets, or use security harnesses... You really didn't think that post through before clicking "Reply", did you?
That was the most creative, efficient, and humane trap I've ever seen! BRAVO!!
Very creative. Amazing. Useful. Bravo !!!1 Thanks
unless you're there to retreive the bottle withing atleast 30 minutes the mice can chew threw it
Your profile picture goes so well with this comment XD
I doubt mice can do that, but rats, yes.
Well yeah, but if i was rat, i would be like, " o mu gosh im panickinggg!" And i would run around like jerry
JAJAvsWORLD you mean "at most" get ur shit straight
JAJAvsWORLD but the bottle is round so how can he chew on it
those crafty asians. My tip of the hat to the koreans on this one.
+bitchasshoeism HAHAHAHAHA
+Hipster Black Metal "My tip of a hat"?
+thybigballs he is tipping his fedora
+bitchasshoeism what about Africa?
+Anna Banana Tipping his Tinfoil hat.
Great idea! Thank you so much!!
너무 잘보고 갑니다. 어릴적 참새 잡던 것이 생각나네요
Best mouse trap ever!
+Dennis Nakashima I am with you.
except for the fact that mouse can chew thru that bottle in no time at all
+Matthew E YES! Good thing I checked the trap before it managed to chew through to escape. It had already chewed an inch when I took the trap outside about 5 minutes after it got trapped. Then it managed to escape by pushing and prying the gap open with both front and back legs! We need a better trap than that, but at least it got trapped which is a good thing!
Snap traps are the best just kill them they can't come back
+Matthew E Wish I could handle blood and gore.... I can't handle dead animals even one as gross as a rat. I don't like snap traps because we have stray cats around here that might get hurt in the process. I know...they should be catching rats but then there are too many rats around, they outnumber the cats. :(
I love it! the mouse doesn't get hurt and you can release it in the wild after catching it. BOTH WIN!
***** but you dont boil mice? It's kind of like saying your going to boil a steak. Grill the thing.
***** Yeah well, I don't think that's compulsory, I'd release it.
So the rat can go pester someone else's home? I'd gladly brutally slaughter any vermin that enter my house :D ill send you the tails hippy
woah, I think you have an aggressiveness problem...
***** Lol I just don't have mercy for vermin, I'm not gonna catch it and release it so it can infect someone else's home and destroy their possessions.
I like how less complex this build is. Brilliant! Not only trapped but the rodent is not exposed to your hands upon retrieval.
Hello sir and thank you for shoving us this very clever trap! Please excuse all the rude kids that are commenting. They will hopefully grow out of it eventually. :)
you think it's funny it could kill the rat. how would you like to be stuck in a bottle?
Awesome way to re-purpose plastic bottles.
Truuue
O
In Finland, we have a bottle deposit system, so you take the empty bottles and cans to a store, put them into the machine and get some money. :) It's unfortunate that that kind of a system is missing in so many countries...
FrozenTreasure Germany the same way
DJKILLERBEAN USA THE SAME WAY
Really remarkable idea for a relatively humane mouse trap! The only issue I can see is that the mouse would probably be able to chew through the plastic if you don't get to it in time. Maybe one could set it up to make more noise when the trap goes off.
Kikyo4815 I was thinking the same thing, especially when it find the part where the bottle incision is made, this pesky little bastards can chew thru my walls within half a day.
add little bells if you must
Kikyo4815 "relatively humane" mouse trap? What do you consider an "absolutely humane" mouse trap?
Dustin Wrye I don't think I've ever come across an "absolutely humane" mouse trap. "Relatively", meaning in relation to less humane traps such as glue traps and traps that are generally intended to kill mice.
+Kikyp4815
Even the 6 first seconds alone are worth thumbing that up! Great work man, one of the coolest video on KZhead.
super and simple demo. Yet I feel you ould be bit more vivid in explaining as to how to fix the bait and the hook for that.
I understood everything except at the part at where you put in the paperclip. A close up would have helped. Very creative trap though.
m.blog.naver.com/jcdo3810/10047052358
+Gaige Highlander *lol* it made loads of sense. it's held in by tension from the rubber bands and string. you should not need a close up.
I needed to watch the same spot a couple of additional times myself, but it is simply the one end of a paper clip that he pushed up through the hole about a 1/4 to 1/2 an inch, then attached the string loop around the clip end.
I agree. It looks like the paperclip would have to be at the very back of the bottle to avoid being pulled forward by the tension on the string. The bait would have to be very strong or tied in because mice are known to remove it from sensitive traps without setting them off. This grab and run is unusual for mice that I have dealt with. Evidenced by a "licked clean" trap.

Nice trap! I like how timid the mouse was about going to the bait, obviously it noted something was up :P!
The video is very good, but the background music is very high and your voice is not heard. I congratulate you for what you do .
Clear, simple and very good demonstration..!
IM HERE FROM 9GAG! ANY BROS?
+Thy Redwhood Yep
+Thy Redwhood What's 9GAG? Is that a gay porn site?
+Jessica Lynn Davis Yes. Your father is the owner.
Very Good Idea Thanks for creating such a things
simple and briliant idea i will make one many thanks
nice touch with the cheering at the end. loved it 👌
what type of bait(food) did he use to attract the rat?
이 덫은 정말 멋진, 그리고 인간적이다. 설명하고, 너무 빌드하는 방법을 보여주는 좋은 일. 훌륭한 일!
Weather you set it free or end it's life, you will not have a dead rat in your home or business, at least. Also, no need to touch the animal, either way. Very good trap.
Sarah Deanne Wolf Did you actually watch this? Give ya bad dreams...
You Sir are very intelligent. Brilliant idea! Thank you for sharing. 👍🏽
VC É O OMEM MUITO INTELIGENTE DO MUNDO PARABENS
Love the music playing in the back ground. Reminds me of a song; My Heart Will Go On.
상상쟁이님 영상 보고 집나간 햄스터 잡았습니다. 언제나 즐겁고 좋은 퀄리티의 영상 올려주셔서 감사합니다
햄스터를 채포하셨군요! 축하드립니다^^
Imaginative Guy 체포아님?
킹나태의죄 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
muy simple y eficaz !!!! felicitaciones !!! y gracias por compartir este video .
Love the detail of demo.I have got to try this in the garden. Thanks
In an old house I caught 47 mice (I counted) by simply putting two liter Pepsi bottle slanting and a bait in it. The plastic was so slippery that they couldn't get out upon entering, just running in place. After a time the bottle's interior would become rough, and the bottle had to be changed. (Of course I freed them all later, at ca 150 m away from the house, across the road at litter cans)..
I like how the mouse wasn't harmed and people are still complaining about this.
Nice, easy to make, cheap, and very practical. Thanks for letting us know...
Thanks for sharing your invention! Den (Canada)
can't they chew through it?
My Russian hamster escaped and is under the sofa , the sofa is too heavy to move . Would this trap work?
Great build Sir, I love the music at the end of the video during the trap!
me too. what is the name of this music?
+Jayden Alquist how old are you ? 4 ?
Very creative. Great job. Thanks.
i don't understand how to set up the paperclip? Someone helps me plz

Jong-Chool Do thank you so much
Jong-Chool Do What did you use as bait?
Jong-Chool Do THANK YOU

i love the sound of rain in the back ground👍
Indeed, that's one of my favourite natural melodies. I like as well when I can hear some thunders. Than I sleep like a baby.
cool great idea awesome and the rats will be ok right???
Great! And a good use of recycling materials. Once trapped, put tape around the bottle and reuse the rest.
hi congratulation for the idea, I'm in Brazil and I'll make one of these. thank you
How was the match of Brazil vs Germany?
Irving Leal lol
Irving Leal dude don´t be mean to my brother country.
Irving Leal omg lol u went overboard
thanks for a good mice trap idea i try it too, very cheap recycle plastic bottle
its very amazing.. but how did you put the clip.. its not clear..
You forgot the two most important components : - a mouse - a hammer to smash the mouse after you catch it with your contraption
I like! That's a good and effective humane mouse trap. After catching the mouse you can probably release it in some field. =]
or put it in a blender and drink it like a protein shake🍷🐀
So you will let him come back or terrorize other people? Kill all mice.
Best easiest homemade humane rat trap every, I admit that a few were able to chew there way out before I got to the trap once maybe thrice but overall I manage to capture 7 rodents thanks to this trap.
Really very good bro... this is super and mind blowing idea...
The mouse in the thumbnail image is so elegant... 😂
good trap ,good idea , bravo man you are genios
Thank you very much for the compliments!!!
JONG CHOOL DO love the video whats the name of the song
JONG CHOOL DO the first song in the video when you were making the trap
You caught it! now leave it in there, hang it in your room and watch in starve while eating popcorn
super simple and effective! thanks for sharing!
wow how simple. After watching the first 5 min of this vid I stopped and made one in about 6 min. Super easy!!!
Man leave it to the asians and the cool music. I almost starting shouting and clapping at the end too!! Lol
I'd improve it by gluing another two sticks at the bottom to keep it stable - the wobbling scares off the mouse and might stop some other mouse completely.
So soothing soundtrack. I just closed my eyes and had very beautiful mindtrip.

Good video, thanks for posting. Enjoyed watching.
was that paper clip?
pretty cool invention the only regret is sticking your hands back in the bottle to set it up after catching a mouse
I was thinking the same!
just make a backdoor by cutting a U form for the convenient reuse of the device and fix the door with additional clips when ready for action. that's it.
Just use a pair of gloves and a bit of bleach every time you reload it. What would be sad for me is when having to kill a living being... even this one.
Javier Quesada Rueda There is the option of letting it go...
line peon In my area letting rats go is not a very good option. One of two things seems to happen (I've been told by folks who seem well-versed): * They quickly find another host home. Apparently there is a neighborhood near one of our parks that gets more than its share of rats due to humane catch and release. * They become an invasive species in an area where they have few natural predators. For me, the benefit of humane traps like this is that I at least don't *torture* and then kill the animal.
I like it.. Im gonna make 5 mouse trap tomorrow.. can you make a snake trap also..
good and very creative and good job tq... tq i like it
I wish you didn't disable comments for "cable tie rat trap" I like this idea. It will hold em fast but the weight you use don't look heavy enough to hurt them. Of course Mr, Rat-tat-tat will spaz out because he is caught.
9gag brought me here.
Wow! Cool..I will try this next time I get mice. Really great idea..:)
Does it work? I'm concerned about rats chewing through the crack overnight.
It is an innovative mouse trap. Demonstration is very nice.
Is there a better picture or direction on how to do the paperclip? Great trap!
Ya, I can't see what he is doing there?
It doesnt matter how you attach the food to the paperclip, as long as the mouse pulls the paperclip/food out of the hole, where the string is just barely holding onto the paperclip... if that makes since.
line peon Dose bait matter. What is used for bait here?
Violet Newstead I use peanut butter. Rats like peanuts and the butter sticks to things better. He seemed to be using some kind of meat. Rats will eat almost anything, but cheese is actually not the best bait because it dries out and doesn't stay put.
Mice will eat anything. But, might as well put something tasty on there.
I really like how it doesn't hurt the mouse, and it keeps it contained. But i'm really glad it doesn't hurt the mouse/rat at all
Excellent! I'm trying this. Hate mice and rats!
Is this your pet rat? I miss having my pet rats. They are very cool.
Who else jumped at the start I flew
It's a good thing that you captured the mouse, but also that it didn't get hurt.
I hope it dies
Lennie Bennie sweg
:-)
I Totally agree
Lennie Bennie he's dead
brilliant! congratulations. this is very impressive.
It's good to harden the bottom strongly. shaken the trap, mouse doubt going inside
와 이 아저씨 한국인이었어 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
Man, to be honest, thought I was gonna see some vegans here complaining how you're abusing this mouse, but obviously I was wrong...
+TheCookieFreezer Since we dont see the mice dying, I dont think anybody will complain :p
Excelente mi amigo saludos, mucha éxito y muchas gracias por la receta tan económica y eficaz.
Wow! That was so simple! Just two more steps and it could have been a space shuttle. Wake me up when it's over.
Does anyone know the name of the background music? Its really peaceful...
like your music, fell asleep at 3:01
Super cool. I'm making one tonight for the mice. They are driving me nutzo!!!
Good use of inexpensive materials, and it's not cruel like glue traps. I have caught the little buggers by setting a magazine or thin book at it's balancing point on the tables edge with bait on the overhanging end. Place a trash receptacle below the magazine on the floor, it works well.
This is actually a fantastic invention. It allows people to eliminate rodents - and avoid indiscriminately killing native wildlife.
there's is another one of these vids its called #WaterbottleMouse/rattrap and then click on the first one
What are you using for bait? Grate idea! The plant has way too many plastic water bottles and way too many rats. Kits could be assembled of a few cents with instructions and delivered around the world.
Such a good trick! Thank you for sharing
How did you make the bait??
I was wondering the same. Probably he bought it
good design very effective for catching mice
VERY GOOD IDEA .THANKS FOR SHARING THIS
That was great. But couldn't get the release mechanism. It was not clear to see.
