This lion was a bit frustrating at times. Some sculptures almost sculpt themselves, this one I had to force. Hard to control the king of the jungle though.
For the armature I used aluminum wire
I used original sculpey oven bake clay (red) to bulk it out.
I used super sculpey firm (gray) for the main sculpting.
I think this is really cool because it shows people not to give up on what they are doing good job hard work pays off
Looks really cool man. I'd say your determination paid off
A truly enjoyable video and a great project. Excellent!
Your so underrated!!!
Thank you very much.

These videos are so enjoyable. The creative process isn’t straightforward, but usually two steps forward and one step back - patience and persistence - and a great result! Who’s blowing bubbles while you work?
Thanks! 😂 the bubbles were just on my computer screen saver.
Love this video! I'm a nail tech entering a nail competition and your video has helped me soooo much! Thank you!

It's awesome, maybe the size of the head is a little bigger But literally it is even better than what many professionals make
It’s seems like he’s a master to me

Thank you! I plan on molding this and trying to cast it in bronze eventually.
Nice job dude I’m a beginner and this is very helpful
I’m a beginner too! Glad you enjoyed it.
Congratulations
Wow I like lions this looks great except the color but still great
Thanks! Yeah I went on to cast it in bronze so I didn’t worry about the color for this one.
How long do you leave it in the oven for? I have a few sculpture ideas but I can't do them as I have no access to a kiln so I'm curious to know how well an oven works. Do they make the sculpture as hard as a normal kiln? And I know this might seem a stupid question but can it damage the oven?
This clay is super sculpey firm. It’s made to go in the oven and it hardens it.
@@lundgrenbronzestudios so afterwards it's just the same as any other ceramics?
GG ! Muito bom amigo ! Estou iniciando na arte da Escultura! Abraço! Thiago Borges aqui do Brasil!

You probably missed this one... Check out how Fritz handles the mane of this lion. kzhead.info/sun/rL6Dj7GqnpFrpqs/bejne.html
why doesn't he have ears ?
He does. That are just under the mane.
